When I went shopping, I was overwhelmed by the heat and crowds. So, I decided to quench my thirst before heading home. I was originally aiming for somewhere else, but decided to stop by a place I had been curious about. Luckily, there was a vacant seat. I went in and ordered an Espresso Frozen for 638 yen and a Mango Frozen for 638 yen. When it's hot, I tend to go for frappe-like drinks. After paying, I waited for my order. I was called from a counter that was out of sight, so I didn't notice, but they brought it to me. "I put too much in" they said as they handed me a wet towel. It was packed with ice. I felt like I got a little extra. The Espresso Frozen was not too sweet, just like espresso. It was slightly creamy and refreshing. I really liked it. The Mango Frozen was also not too sweet, with a hint of acidity that made it refreshing. I might like this better than a certain mango drink. The sofa seats were okay, but the chair seats had narrow spaces between tables. I wish the aisle to the trash bin was 1.5 times wider.

A café located in the underground shopping area of Apia in front of Sapporo Station. I found this café while wandering around Apia after a long time. The café has counter seats and table seats, with a bright atmosphere. There are not many seats, so many people seem to use it for takeout. They also offer morning sets, but since I had lunch coming up, I just had a "drip coffee (418 yen)" this time. If you have drip coffee in the store, you can get one refill for free. The coffee was delicious, so it's a good deal to get another cup for free. It may be crowded at times, but the staff's customer service was polite and I had a good impression, so I think it's good for a break.

I went shopping around Satsu-Eki and got tired from walking, so I took a break here. The entrance area was crowded, but there are more spacious seats further inside. I ordered a "Water Drip Iced Coffee" (418 yen) which was lightly bitter and easy to drink. My companion got an "Iced Cafe Latte" (462 yen) which was milky and delicious, though a bit more sweetness would be nice. We also bought a "Herb Egg Roll Cake" (473 yen) which had a moist yellow sponge with a rich egg flavor. The cake looked luxurious with the added edible flower on the cream. They offer a 100 yen discount on food sets, and they have a morning menu until 11 am with great deals. I definitely want to come back early next time to try their morning menu. There used to be a retro Showa-style coffee shop, but then a cafe called Sanbon Coffee Shop opened. It's a chain store. I was surprised when I first went in because of the open atmosphere. However, the inside of the shop is strangely small. It's a bit awkward to be seen eating by people passing by on the street. This time, I only ordered a drink, which was an espresso frozen. There were other things on the menu that caught my eye, but I decided to go with something coffee-like first. The taste was refreshing. It wasn't very sweet, just like coffee. Personally, I prefer it to be a bit sweeter with a stronger coffee flavor. I felt a bit unsatisfied, but the portion was quite generous. I mentioned feeling hesitant about having a meal there, but there are quite a few menu items that I am curious about, so I might gather the courage to go back. Thank you for the meal!

Due to the impact of the coronavirus, several shops in Apia have closed and been reborn as new stores. This cafe is one of them, originally the location of the long-established cafe Saicelia. The entrance is open and inviting. The interior has counter seats (with power outlets) and table seats. The large menu photos on the wall by the passage catch your eye. Ordering is done at the counter and payment is made in advance. The counter also has a cake showcase on the left side with various delicious options. Visited on the 23rd, a public holiday for the Emperor's birthday, a little after 9 am. Despite initially being the only customer, there was a group of women at the far table. - Morning Balance Meal 770 yen They offer morning meals until 11 am. I ordered the most expensive Morning Balance Meal. Thick toast topped with butter. A one-plate meal with green leafy vegetables, carrot rapé, ham & egg, and yogurt. The plate features a Yokohama port landscape with a ship illustration. And of course, coffee. The coffee is delicious, as expected from Sanbon Coffee, with a mild acidity, rich depth, and bitterness. They prepare the coffee at the counter first, but if the meal service is a bit slow, the coffee may get cold. The salad dressing is simple, made with olive oil, vinegar, and salt, and it is tasty. The ham & egg was cooked to a perfect softness. The yogurt is mildly sweet, with a slightly sweet berry sauce. There are partitions between the tables, with the menu displayed, which is a clever use of space. Reading through it, I noticed a "Welcome Back Receipt Discount," where if you bring your receipt on the same day, you can get four types of drinks at half price. A great service. The pasta menu and cakes also look delicious, so I might visit for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

On December 25, 2022, it was extremely crowded everywhere due to Christmas (^_^;) But ever since I was little, I always thought that Christmas cake was meant to be eaten on Christmas Eve, and then Santa would come at midnight to deliver presents, which would bring joy the next morning. Even though Santa never actually came to my house (sweat). Back when I had a girlfriend a long time ago, I thought Christmas was about spending the night together. But... what's with this crazy crowd in the city!! (^_^;) When did December 25 become so packed? In the past, Christmas cakes were sold at full price until the 24th, and then half price on the 25th. But now, there are no discounts on the 25th, and there are so many people... Times have changed, huh (^_^;) Despite all that, Totoron, who is active on Tabelog, went out with a good friend. They said it was a Christmas date, but I didn't quite get it (^_^;) Exhausted from the crowds, we finally arrived at this café♪ I ordered an iced coffee so I could sit down quickly (sweat). My girlfriend also bought coffee jelly and a fruit sandwich in addition to her own drink. She said the coffee jelly looked cute. The fruit sandwich was for us to share (lol). I always think that fruit sandwiches look nice, but they're actually quite hard to eat (^_^;) That's why I don't really feel like buying them anymore. Fruit daifuku too (lol). We both had other plans scheduled, so we said goodbye here~♪ Now that I think about it, maybe the incident at this café was like a mini party for my girlfriend, with the fruit sandwich as a substitute for cake? "I visited a coffee shop called 'Sanbon Coffee' in Sapporo by myself. On Friday, I had drinks with my wife in Kitami and on Saturday I drank with old friends in Sapporo. I had planned to take it easy on Friday, but ended up drinking so much that I got a hangover. I knew I had to control myself on Saturday because I had to run a long distance on Sunday, but I still ended up drinking a little too much. I wanted to go back to the hotel quickly, but I had to sober up first. I left the hotel but didn't want to drive, so I stayed close by and found a coffee shop to go into. I had just had coffee, but I wanted to try a proper one, so I ordered an iced coffee. It was cheap, but unfortunately, it didn't taste good at all. It felt thin and lacked the depth that I expected from a slow-brewed coffee. It was worse than the instant coffee I had earlier. It was a disappointing coffee. At least, they shouldn't label it as 'iced coffee'. Maybe they should call it 'iced broth' or something. They should just own up to it being watered-down!!"

I had to work on Sunday and couldn't have breakfast at home, so I decided to have breakfast around JR Sapporo Station. There were few places open after 8 am, but I finally found this place. I ordered the morning set, which was a great deal for around 400 yen. It came with thick toast, salad, boiled egg, and coffee. The toast with melted butter was especially delicious. It was a delight to have tasty toast after a long time. What also made me happy was the friendly service from the female staff. Her refreshing smile and kind attitude gave me a boost for the day.

I wanted to eat yogurt, so I chose Morning Set B. ★ Morning Set B: Cold Brew Iced Coffee - 572 yen The coffee had a clear taste, strong and delicious. The morning set came in a big plate, making me wonder if I could finish it all. The salad had a simple dressing of oil and salt, with a generous amount of vegetables. The toast was crispy and warm, with a cut on it. The fruit yogurt had raspberry jam on top, with lots of fruits inside, like pears, peaches, and cherries. There was also strawberry compote on top. It was a very satisfying and voluminous morning set. They also had power outlets and USB ports, which was convenient for charging. They had a "Welcome back! Receipt discount" where you could get half off on drip coffee, cold brew iced coffee, iced coffee, cafe latte, and tea if you bring in the receipt from your cafe visit on the same day. Before I knew it, there was a cafe! Let's have some coffee while organizing data. Drip coffee for 396 yen. It's machine-made, so the price is reasonable. For eat-in, you get one cup for free, and the taste is great when you have two cups for the price of one. The coffee leans towards the bitter side. I visited after a long time and had the Bucket Sandwich (salmon & cheese). It was not freshly made, as it was in the showcase, but it was made in-store. Despite the name, the bread was not a baguette but a soft, fluffy bread similar to a roll. It had plenty of filling, so I felt satisfied. The iced coffee was refreshing with a clean taste, which was great for someone who doesn't like acidity. The store is small and self-service, so you have to be careful not to bump into other customers while walking with a tray.

On my day off on August 3rd, I decided to have breakfast and was looking for a cafe that offered morning sets. I found a cafe that had just opened and ordered their C Morning set for ¥682. The menu was not visible from outside, but I finally found it at the register. The C Morning set included bacon and eggs, salad, toast, and yogurt. The freshness of the salad was not great, and the bacon and eggs as well as the toast were just average. The iced coffee had a good flavor, but overall, the cafe did not have any standout features compared to other chain cafes like Ueshima Coffee or Mos Burger's Musashino Coffee. The operation of the cafe, such as the visibility of the morning menu from outside, raised some doubts. It seems like a typical cafe run by a corporation, and I'm not sure if I would visit again.

The new shop has a great sense of openness compared to the previous one♪ But the milk tea was surprisingly bitter and didn't suit my taste... (´･ω･`) Also, the distance between the tables was so close due to the space, it was unavoidable!

This is a new café in Apia. I visited on a weekday morning. Some seats have charging spaces. I chose drip coffee and eggplant sandwich. On a certain holiday, I visited the Three Bon Coffee Shop in Sapporo Station Apia Center for a leisurely stroll in the city. The Gâteau au Chocolat was rich and dense. I thought it would be served as is, but it came with whipped cream and cute flowers as decoration.
