Tenjin 2022.12.10
Today, I visited "Nama Ram Jingiskan Tenjin" for the first time after seeing the illumination at Santa Land in Hiroo. The restaurant is located along Nishiminami Odori in Obihiro, near the Tsuruha Drug 8-jo store. The exterior is a one-story building with a black wall. Inside, there are 8 counter seats and 2 table seats with a small raised area and a kotatsu for 4 people.
I ordered the following dishes:
- Jingiskan (550 yen)
- Raw lamb (700 yen)
- Seasoned raw lamb (730 yen)
- Middle-cut Jingiskan (750 yen)
- Cold noodles (850 yen)
I also ordered two bottles of alcohol. The thick-cut raw lamb had a slight sweetness and was very delicious. The middle-cut meat was particularly tasty with a sauce that had a hint of apple and garlic, making it flavorful but not too heavy. The cold noodles had a delicious broth, and the service oysters were also tasty.
The all-female staff provided attentive service, and the heated kotatsu area was warm and comfortable for dining. I expressed how delicious the food was, and they were very happy to hear it. I will definitely come back to Nama Ram Jingiskan in Tenjin. Thank you for the meal.

There are few restaurants open on Sundays, so I am grateful for this one. The regular menu was delicious as usual, but today I tried something new. It seems like I'm hooked. And the ramen at the end was amazing. I can't stop eating it.

I hadn't had Genghis Khan (grilled lamb) recently, so I came to eat raw lamb here. The pot here is silver-colored and has holes in it. I had raw lamb and lamb intestines. I started with beer and then switched to shochu with hot water. It seems like they mainly operate at the counter, as the raised tatami seating area was not in use. It's a smoking-friendly place.

Located along Nishi 8 Street (near Ramen Genki), this building doesn't look like a typical yakiniku restaurant from the outside. Parking is available for about 4 cars in a nearby location across from Ramen Genki. Inside, the restaurant has a log cabin-style decor with a counter seating for about 10 people and two small raised tables. Each table is equipped with a gas stove for grilling Genghis Khan-style lamb. The menu mainly consists of different types of Genghis Khan lamb dishes and some offal options, so it may not be suitable for those looking for beef cuts like kalbi or loin. Side dishes like soup and salad are also available. I ordered the raw lamb without marination, which had a slight gamy smell but tasted delicious. I also tried a dish called lamb tongue, which had a unique chewy texture. The homemade sauce served with the meat was particularly tasty.

I had always been curious about this shop that was loved by the locals. When I entered, I noticed that it was a small place with counter seats and two small raised seating areas, but the atmosphere was lively with customers. It seemed like many of them were regulars, as they were friendly with the staff. I decided to order a variety of dishes. It was rare to find a place in Obihiro where you could eat lamb tongue. They also had hormone, guts, and mutton tripe, so you could also enjoy horumon dishes. The Genghis Khan pot was the type with holes in it, so it was okay if oil dripped onto the burner. The taste was average. The staff interacted with the customers in a very casual and friendly manner, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere in the shop.

This is a small shop located a little away from Obihiro Station. The original sauce of the shop is delicious, and whenever someone visits Obihiro, I take them there. The prices are a bit on the higher side considering going for Genghis Khan, but I think the taste is good. However, the other day I couldn't relax as we had a party of about five people in a sunken kotatsu seating area, so I recommend calling the shop to make a reservation before going. If you are a resident of Obihiro, sometimes you can get coupons for "Shun" or "Chai", so please check it out.
