After eating some not-so-delicious soba at Darjeeling Shimizu, I thought about heading back, but ended up returning to Obihiro. They said they wanted to have some tea. I prefer coffee, but I've been liking tea lately too, although I'm not very knowledgeable about it. They said, "Doesn't it make you feel a bit noble?" but there was no need to respond. They said, "Drink tea like a lady." Well, it seems better to just ignore them. It seems to be quite an old shop, but there are only two reviews. Even the queen representing Tokachi hasn't been there? When I arrived, it didn't look new, but it didn't seem to have much history either. The interior is very lovely, and there are speakers outside playing classical music. Or maybe it's coming through the ventilation fan? There are eight seats at the L-shaped counter, four tables for four people each, and a grand piano taking up space. "Darjeeling" and "Uva," please. I'm completely clueless, so I leave it to the missus. Uva has been with us since childhood, so there's no discomfort. Ohohohoho. It arrived in about 10 minutes. And then Daigoro came after a 3-minute wait. It's delicious and elegant. Uva is also good, but I can't taste the difference in the first cup. It's revealed that I have a mediocre palate. Of course, the second cup has a stronger taste, so I can enjoy the tea even more. Darjeeling has a stronger aroma, doesn't it? For the third cup, I poured it while still thinking there was so much left. I ended up pouring it full to the brim. When I looked at the missus, she was doing the same thing. "You, pouring to the brim like a lady, there's no such thing as a lady pouring to the brim, you should be scratching your butt," I said. She replied, "Shut up, old man. Then should I elegantly scratch my butt to the graceful piano accompaniment??" That's how quickly you can see through someone. There's a lot left, but would you like a large amount? The missus said, "Isn't there too much water??" We're heading home with our bellies full. It feels so mellow.
