Anyway, it was delicious and I couldn't stop eating. I didn't go for a course meal, just kept ordering my favorite dishes a la carte, and ended up eating a year's worth of crab. I had hairy crab, king crab, and crab sashimi. It's basic but they serve fresh ingredients, so it's reliably good. However, it was a bit busy so it was hard to flag down a waitress.

I visited the popular tourist spot, Kani Shogun, known for its taraba crab, zuwai crab, and hairy crab menus. I tried the crab legs of the taraba crab, which were deliciously firm, and I wanted to eat more of the crab rice porridge. They even provided a baby basket, showing kindness to families with babies. While I initially thought of it as a touristy place, I realized it's definitely a great choice for eating crab.

I stopped by during my trip to Sapporo! The crab shabu-shabu was really, really delicious, and my friend and I ate with smiles on our faces. In addition to shabu-shabu, there are also plenty of other dishes to enjoy, making you want to eat more (^-^) If you are going to Hokkaido, please be sure to visit this place♪

I came to Sapporo during Golden Week and decided to eat crab since I was there. I tried to make a reservation by calling on the same day, but they said they couldn't take any reservations even though it wasn't a busy day. I think they didn't want people using coupons from websites like Tabelog. However, the food was really not good at all!! Is this the level of crab in Hokkaido? It really made me change my image of Hokkaido being famous for crab. I've had much better crab at a cheaper restaurant in Ginza. The fried dumplings were also not good at all. They put so much effort into making it taste bad. The crab dumplings were a bit better. The tempura had too much batter and was hard to eat. Maybe this restaurant survives because of the many foreign and domestic tourists. Are they really cooking to make customers happy? I regret not spending a bit more money to go to a better restaurant!! I wanted to eat delicious crab. I blame myself for choosing a cheap restaurant. But we ended up spending around ¥18,000 for two people, so it wasn't that cheap. I won't go back again, it was really disappointing. The guy at the reception was on the phone and made us wait, it was just a disappointing experience overall. The young staff members were nice, but the older ones seemed arrogant! The food wasn't good and I only took a picture of one dish.

Visited with my family of three. The restaurant had a very impressive and luxurious atmosphere, with even a stuffed bear on display. The adults ordered the snow crab hot pot, while the kids had the children's kaiseki meal. The children's meal had an amazing variety of dishes, with lots of crab dishes. It was incredibly cost-effective. The snow crab hot pot was perfect, with nothing to complain about. We even saved some crab to add to the porridge at the end. It was a truly enjoyable experience.

I purposely visited a type of restaurant that tourists often go to but local residents do not frequent. It was lunchtime. I think the main appeal of this place is the atmosphere rather than the taste. It seems like the kind of place where visitors from out of town would be satisfied. The interior has a traditional inn-like feel, which is nice. I had a seafood bowl, but in terms of taste, there was nothing particularly outstanding in this area.

The price is high, but you can eat really good crab. There are no photos, but the crab shabu-shabu was delicious. For those who don't like the fishy smell, crab sashimi might not be to their liking. The first picture is of grilled snow crab, and the second picture is of king crab sashimi. Unfortunately, I can't tell the difference between king crab and snow crab, but one thing is for sure - they are delicious.

I came to eat crab. The place is located in Susukino. In a corner surrounded by various lively buildings, there is a particularly flashy crab statue (laughs). I quickly placed my order. I chose a crab suki comparison (snow crab and king crab). The menu shows a flashy picture with bright red crabs lined up, but the actual dish was a bit less impressive with pale, raw crabs. It's a bit different from the picture! I also ordered grilled snow crab, hoping for a fancy presentation on a shichirin, but it was served already grilled. Hmm, not very photogenic (cries). The taste was decent.

The restaurant I visited this time is Kanishogun Sapporo Main Store. I ordered the Zuwai Crab Sukiyaki Course. First, we had Yuba (tofu skin) with okra and crab tofu. Then, we enjoyed Zuwai crab sashimi followed by crab sukiyaki, crab shumai, pickles, and finally crab porridge before finishing with yuzu sherbet for dessert. Additionally, we ordered the special Kanimiso (crab miso) sushi. There are various crab dishes available at Kanishogun, so if you ever visit Sapporo, why not stop by to enjoy some delicious crab dishes?

I visited the restaurant early because the 500 yen discount coupon I received last time expires on 11/30. Upon entering the store, there was alcohol disinfection and temperature checks. I took off my shoes and went inside. I was guided to the second floor by the elevator. There were no customers before me, but 4 customers came in after me. The Friday specials were Chicken Nanban set for 880 yen, Seafood Chirashi set for 1,210 yen, and Special Set for 1,540 yen. I ordered the Seafood Chirashi set. However, it took a long time for the food to be served. Last time it took 20 minutes, but this time it took 40 minutes. The ingredients included tuna, salmon, eel, squid, scallop, salmon roe, shredded omelette, shiitake mushroom, and lotus seeds. The vinegar seasoning was good and delicious. The miso soup was also very tasty. I used the 500 yen discount coupon for the payment, so it was 710 yen in total. The food was delicious, but I deducted points for the long wait and the way the food was served. There seemed to be a problem with the POS system as the order didn't reach the kitchen. I also received another 500 yen discount coupon. I will come back again without hesitation. (November 2020)

Recently, it seems that they have started serving lunch. Upon entering the restaurant, there is hand sanitizing and temperature check (35.8 degrees). Shoes are taken off and guests are guided to the second floor by an elevator. The second floor consists of table seating only. First, they offer hot towels, lemon water, and warm tea. The lunch menu includes: Monday - Chicken breast tempura set meal for 880 yen, Tuesday - Tuna yukhoe bowl for 880 yen, Wednesday - Chicken and vegetable with black vinegar sauce set meal for 880 yen, Thursday - White fish fry set meal for 990 yen, Friday - Chicken nanban set meal for 880 yen, Saturday - Seafood bite-sized chirashi for 1,430 yen, Sunday - Large shrimp fry set meal for 2,200 yen, which are all in an affordable price range. There are still various other menu options available. Since it was Monday, I ordered the chicken breast tempura set meal. The background music in the restaurant is of a koto, creating a relaxed atmosphere. The meal was served in about 20 minutes. It consisted of four large chicken breast tempura pieces, shredded cabbage, and lemon slices on the plate. The tempura was topped with sauce, which had a nice kick of pepper and went well with the rice. However, the rice was a bit disappointing. The miso soup included tofu, wheat gluten, and a hint of crab flavor. As I finished eating, they announced rice refills, but since there were no more sides left, I declined. Upon payment, I received a 500 yen discount coupon for my next visit. (October 2020)

2020.09 Kaniya at the department store had lunch guidance when buying bento, so I smoothly entered. Kani Shogun next door felt high, but I came last week. The lunch was not to my liking, so I had the parent and child bowl, which was delicious. So this week, I invited a colleague. Wednesday 12:30, 2nd visit. Temperature check and hand disinfection at the entrance, then up the elevator. Today's lunch was "Crab and Anago Chirashi Gozen". It was a bit crowded, waited about 30 minutes for the serving. Had a meeting with my colleague, so the time was well spent. The crab and anago chirashi in a wrapped wrapper was delicious. The ingredients were all tasty. The crab soup was also good. When paying, I was asked for feedback and received a 500 yen meal voucher as thanks. The deadline is until November 30, 2020. I have to come back again. But when I tried to go... Temporary closure until November 30th...

I found out about the menu renewal and decided to try the daily lunch special on Wednesday, which was the Black Vinegar Ankake Set Meal. The taste was elegant and delicious, and the presentation was also very nice. The miso soup had a rich crab flavor and was very tasty. Even the pickles were well-prepared and flavorful. I had originally thought this was a restaurant mainly for tourists, so I hadn't paid much attention to it, but I was pleasantly surprised when I went in. The atmosphere inside was very pleasant, and the customer service was excellent. They also had menu items at affordable prices, so I'm interested in coming back for dinner sometime. Thank you for the delicious meal.

First visit on July 18, 2020. We went to Kani Shogun Sapporo Main Store for lunch, located on Susukino Street with a prominent crab sign. It's Saturday today, so my wife and I decided to come to Susukino. As we walked, discussing whether to have yakiniku, sushi, tempura, or hot pot, we came across a large crab sign... I'm not a big fan of crab, so I was thinking maybe shrimp would be better, but we decided to enter the restaurant. It was just after opening, and aside from us, there was only one family. We started with ordering beer. My wife gave me a look like "beer for lunch?" but since it's my day off, I insisted. The beer was ice-cold and delicious. Then we ordered crab salad, crab gratin, and grilled snow crab. The crab salad was just okay, I'm not a fan of crab. The crab gratin, on the other hand, was delicious. I like gratin with a clear and easy-to-understand flavor. The grilled snow crab was soft and easy to eat, my wife said it was delicious. Lastly, we ordered crab sukiyaki. I mainly had the vegetables, which were tasty. I added rice and egg at the end to make it like a porridge. The crab broth added a nice flavor, and the porridge was delicious. It's been over 30 years since I last had crab, and it's still not my cup of tea. My wife enjoyed it though, so maybe it was good? Sorry for my unsophisticated taste buds. Thanks for the meal.

I used this restaurant for a meal with a customer. It seems to be a nationwide chain based in Nagoya. The course costs 7000 yen per person, including all-you-can-drink. The atmosphere in the private room is calm, and it's all about crab, but to be honest, whether it's the freshness of the crab or the course contents, everything is just so-so. It would be quite rude to say that there is no need to choose this restaurant, but the truth is, if you can eat a lot of seafood in Hokkaido, would you choose this place? The presentation is nice, but locals would be surprised if you told them you went there. Foreign guests may enjoy it, including the interior, but I wouldn't recommend it to Japanese people. At the year-end party at work, I wasn't the organizer so I looked it up and it seems like this time we had a course called "Himuro" which included appetizers, crab tofu, crab miso, snow crab sashimi, snow crab vinegar, snow crab hot pot, grilled snow crab, tempura snow crab, snow crab sushi, soup, and fruit for dessert. Although we always talk about wanting to eat hairy crab at crab-themed year-end parties, there was no hairy crab this time... Even so, I was more satisfied than at other crab restaurants for year-end parties. The crab miso and sushi were delicious.

I was torn between a seafood izakaya and a crab restaurant, but ended up at the crab specialty shop. I thought it might be a typical tourist spot, but it turned out to be a nice place to visit casually. I considered getting a full course meal, but decided on a lighter course for around 4,000 yen since I had plans after. I wanted to order live crab sashimi, but unfortunately they didn't have any in stock, so I settled for regular crab sashimi instead. Overall, I was able to enjoy the crab dishes thoroughly, and the regular sashimi was delicious with its sweetness and richness. It was enough for me, and I really enjoyed the meal. Thank you for the delicious food.

I hadn't celebrated my birthday, so I ended up being treated to a full course meal of crab. Probably the first time since I can remember. I was silent the whole time. Crab meat everywhere, in my hair, on my neck, on my cheeks. I feel so fortunate. Thank you for the feast.
