[April 2019] "Atelier Morihiko" is a popular cafe in Sapporo. In December 2018, "Atelier Morihiko" bottled canned coffee was sold at "Hokkaido Kiosk". This product is exclusive to Hokkaido Kiosk and is not sold in supermarkets or convenience stores. I visited with my usual companion with the intention of buying "Morihiko's canned coffee". The store is located in the JR Sapporo Station area in Chuo-ku, Sapporo. For the exact location of the store, please check on Tabelog. There are two types of "Morihiko's bottled canned coffee": "Black Coffee" and "Cafe au Lait". The labeling for "Black Coffee" is simply "Coffee" while "Cafe au Lait" is labeled as "Coffee Beverage". The labeling of coffee products such as cans or PET bottles is legally required to indicate the amount of coffee beans. When looking at the product label, you can see the amount of coffee content. Cafes and similar coffee products typically have around 10g/100g of coffee. Canned coffees have more lenient standards. It is also a perfect bottled canned coffee for local Sapporo residents. You can easily enjoy it without having to go to the store. It is clear that local Sapporo residents are also buying in bulk. The popularity of "Atelier Morihiko" is evident. I might just go for the "Black Coffee" next time (laughs). I personally like the flavor of black coffee in this type of product. From the window of the kiosk, how many times! Today, it's Sapporo Station, Kenpo-san! Even if I shout, I'm just a strange person. Well, I went around various places and found a merry-go-round, ♬, feeling high and singing rock and roll ♬. Is there something you're looking for at the kiosk that's hard to find? ♬, I found it! And what I bought was Tōman! Tōman is a famous confectionery in Sapporo. It's a simple round treat with white bean paste inside. It's a taste that I like for some reason, can you understand why? You probably can't. I don't even understand it. The kiosks at Sapporo Station come in various sizes and offer a variety of products, just like a department store. With so many people around, it's no surprise.

I arrived at Sapporo Station and headed straight to the kiosk because I was hungry. I got a hand-rolled rice ball with diced zangi for 108 yen, which was 20% off because it was close to closing time. I also got a grilled chikuwa from Marukin for 174 yen. The total came to 260 yen including tax. The grilled chikuwa was thick and delicious, making the slightly higher price worth it. The hand-rolled rice ball had a decent amount of zangi inside with a modern touch of mayonnaise. Personally, I prefer it without mayo, but it was still tasty. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. This shop is perfect for busy salarymen before business trips or travelers with upcoming long journeys who need to quickly buy food and drinks they forgot. The space is small and packed with products, making it easy to see everything and convenient to shop in a hurry. I bought vegetable juice this time, and I was happy to see that they accept payment with WAON, which is also great for COVID-19 prevention measures.

Today, I came to the hospital in front of the station for my regular check-up, but I arrived a little early for the afternoon reception. Since it's a small specialized hospital, the entrance is locked during lunch break, so I couldn't wait inside. Therefore, I decided to take a short break on the bench in the waiting area in the concourse of Sapporo Station. I bought grape juice and a snack of "one bite kiwi from Nagano" at a slightly larger kiosk in front of the ticket gate. While drinking, I tried searching on Tabelog, and surprisingly it was registered with reviews. Although I don't feel like registering and reviewing myself, since it's already registered, I took a photo of the store on my way to the hospital. I drank the juice so there's no photo, but we enjoyed it together. Recently, some kiosks at stations are being replaced by small convenience stores, but I hope kiosks continue to do well. 2020/7/19 [Takeout?] Said goodbye to Naoko-chan at Sapporo Station. Our paths are different so it's farewell here!! Let's drink again♪ So, since the train is coming soon, I impulsively bought something haha. At the Kiosk Sapporo Higashi Concourse Chuo store, yes, it's just a 30-minute train ride, but with this momentum, I feel like drinking. I bought a classic 500ml can. The Rapid Airport train was quite empty, allowing for natural social distancing. I can comfortably crack open a beer! The last beer, also delicious (^^♪ Drinking beer while swaying on the train is special. But I guess I drank too much, couldn't finish it before arriving at Kitahiroshima (;^ω^) I waited outside until my wife picked me up, but still couldn't finish it, finally managed to finish it in my wife's car. Always grateful for her picking me up. It was a long time since I was in Sapporo, but I felt the happiness of being able to drink like this. I want to go drinking again(^^♪ It was delicious!!
