In November 2022, revisiting: In my previous review, I wrote that this was the "most frequently visited store in the Miyoshi chain," but since they stopped being open 24 hours, it has been downgraded to a "store rarely used in the local Miyoshi area" (laughs). With a 10 am opening time, there are several competitors within the nearby Aeon mall, and a new Miyoshi store opened in the area, so when I feel like eating gyoza, I tend to go there instead. So, this time when I came to Tomakomai, I had a strong craving for "gyoza curry" and decided to visit. "Gyoza curry" is a staple menu item at Miyoshi, embodying the combination of gyoza and curry. The menu consists of curry topped with three gyoza, but since three gyoza is a bit unsatisfying, I usually opt for the "Miyoshi set" which includes curry and a separate order of gyoza. However, this time, I decided to go for the "Toku Miyoshi Mori Curry" after a long time. I've had it at another Miyoshi location in the past, but this menu consists of a large serving of curry topped with six gyoza and a half-cooked egg, making it a slightly unconventional choice within Miyoshi. Originally, there is no option for a large serving of curry, as it quickly becomes a "jumbo curry" with the standard portion. Therefore, it's hard to determine how much of a deal it is compared to ordering each item separately. The combination of curry, six gyoza, and a half-cooked egg costs an additional 20 yen, so it's like paying 20 yen for a larger serving of rice. It may indeed be a good deal, but for me as an older gentleman, a large serving of rice with six gyoza is a bit too much, and I would prefer sticking to the "Miyoshi set" at most.
