Sekoma is a convenience store chain originating from Hokkaido, mainly converting individual shops that sell alcohol and tobacco into franchise stores. Back then, the sale of alcohol and tobacco was regulated, and even major convenience store chains like Seven-Eleven couldn't handle them, affecting convenience. Sekoma's parent company was a liquor wholesaler, which helped expand their network of stores by working closely with retail stores. Marutakubota Store is also a converted store from a retail shop, now operating as a mixed-use store where the owner can include apartments or tenants in the same building. One of Sekoma's unique products is the "Wasabi Salt Ramen" priced at 108 yen. It's a cup noodle with a Hokkaido twist, featuring the distinctive taste of wasabi that gives a satisfying kick. It's a cup noodle that might become addictive due to its unique flavor.
