It's after work. There are measures to prevent the spread of something, and oh, the state of emergency has been lifted, and the first week of October with only 2 days is over, and it's been a while since I've been to Susukino in the evening. It's already October, so the sun sets early, and even at this time, the neon lights stand out. But when it comes to alcohol... I'm trying to save money (laughs). Since the beginning of this month, prices have gone up in various places, so... (´;ω;`)ウゥゥ
Today, after quite a long time, I came to this alley. According to the official website, there are currently 16 stores in this facility, and I have already visited 10 of them. Today, I'm visiting the 11th store in this alley. This alley is still not very crowded due to the "pandemic," but there are more open shops compared to when I last visited in early June. Still, there are shops open from 5 pm or 6 pm, so...
So, today I chose this place. I felt like I could eat some delicious miso ramen. First, I checked the menu posted on the wall of the shop, and when I entered the shop, there were no other customers before 5 pm. This is a touch panel ticket machine that supports four languages. Compared to the ramen shop with a red tent and white letters near my workplace, it's pretty simple (laughs). Let's go for the "Roasted Miso Ramen" as the shop name suggests. But wait, is it "Roasted Miso Ramen"? Well, never mind, I inserted a 1,000 yen bill, tapped the screen, and tapped the ticket button, and a food ticket and 150 yen in change came out.
The shop is actually called "Baisen-ya" instead of "Baisen-ya." Oh well (laughs). I handed the food ticket to the young staff. When I looked around the shop, I noticed that it was not "Roasted" but "Fragrant Roasted" ramen. And the shop's name is not "Roasted Tea House" but "Baisen-ya" (laughs). No wonder the shop doesn't smell roasted (laughs).
After about 5 minutes, the staff brought out the ramen, warning me that it was hot. The scene was... a rich, milky soup with a light sprinkle of fish powder on top, two slices of roasted pork with white powder, four pieces of white, long menma, one halved boiled egg, and plenty of chopped green onions. The miso ramen was packed in a small bowl. First, I tried the noodles. The noodles were a slightly curly, medium-thin type from Kanejin Foods, with a good chewiness. The soup that coated the noodles was a rich white miso base, but not too heavy or salty. The richness was not overwhelming, and there was a good balance. There were a few stir-fried bean sprouts in the soup. It was more on the rich side than the light side, but it was a well-balanced soup. The second slice of roasted pork I ate was quite thick, maybe it was just the end part. This would definitely make me want to order rice at the end if it was during the daytime. When I asked the staff, they said, "Most people who order the seafood miso also order rice." I guess I'll have to come during the day next time. Thank you for the meal.
