After drinking a lot in Susukino, I impulsively went to Ramen Yokocho for a final meal of miso ramen. The taste was average, but it was convenient. It may not be fair to judge the taste after drinking so much. This is just a drunk note.

I had a full belly with my friends and at 3 am I started craving ramen. Options were limited at this hour, but one of my friends suggested going to Beisen, a small shop with only 6 counter seats. I ordered the limited fish and salt ramen. It was like a regular salt ramen but with added fish powder, seaweed, and bonito flakes, giving it a strong seafood flavor. It was just right for my drunken body. It was delicious, thank you for the meal. My Guinomi's recommendation.

When I ordered the OMO special menu at Ramen Yokocho, I was surprised to see it served in a bowl with OMO's name on it! This is the kind of attention to detail you would expect from Hoshino Resorts. The rich miso ramen was so delicious that I couldn't help but drink all the soup too! The long menma was especially tasty and highly recommended.

I had already eaten and drank a lot in Susukino and was full, but since I was in Sapporo, I decided to walk to Ramen Yokocho and checked out Baisensha, which had a high rating on Tabelog. It was still early so it was not crowded. The chashu had no particular taste, but the soup was delicious.

Pan-fried miso ramen for 850 yen. It's a pretty good choice for a satisfying meal. The miso flavor is on the stronger side, which I like. The chashu is average. The seasoned egg is delicious without any strong flavors. It's topped with plenty of green onions, which is nice. It's a bit rich, so I recommend having it as a final meal rather than a starter.

I had miso ramen, but the atmosphere was bad from the moment I entered the restaurant. It was the first time in my life that I was told to eat quickly at a ramen shop. I do eat relatively fast, but still. The ramen was lukewarm, so I guess it couldn't be helped. They also didn't give me a refill of water. The worst ramen shop I have ever regretted visiting in my life.

Hokkaido Trip①✈️A Miso specialty shop pursuing richness and sharpnessShop Name: Baisensha Original Sapporo Ramen AlleyLocated in the popular tourist spot Ramen Alley in Sapporo, this shop specializes in authentic Sapporo miso ramen✨This time, I tried the recommended Koshin Miso Ramen. The rich soup is made with a blend of two types of white miso in a chicken and pork broth, with the sweetness of onions, the richness of meat juices, and the depth of burnt garlic. The toppings like chashu, menma, and green onions paired perfectly with the flavorful Sapporo ramen✨As a fun fact, Hokkaido ramen is made with a thick oil film on the soup to keep it hot until the end, allowing us to enjoy a piping hot bowl of ramen throughout! If you want to experience authentic Sapporo ramen, be sure to visit this place✨#Baisensha #OriginalSapporoRamenAlley #HokkaidoTrip #SapporoTrip #SapporoGourmet #SapporoLunch #SapporoRamen #SapporoMisoRamen #MisoRamenSpecialtyShop #WantToConnectWithRamenLovers

I accompanied my husband to a miso ramen restaurant. There are many delicious-looking shops around here, so it's hard to choose. You buy a meal ticket as soon as you enter. The kanji for "roasted" was slightly different and I was confused. It didn't particularly feel like it was roasted. The secret to its deliciousness is said to be combining the sweetness of sautéed onions, the richness of meat juices, and the depth of roasted garlic with a white soup made of 50% chicken and 50% pork. Previously, it operated as a miso specialty shop, but since the renewal on July 12, 2021, they also offer soy sauce and salt ramen. The "Roasted Miso Ramen" and "Spicy Roasted Miso Ramen" have a clear miso flavor and a powerful rich soup! And a relatively thick oil film. When you slurp the yellow curly noodles, you can feel the spiciness of the sansho pepper. It is a feature to have sansho pepper on top. It has a refreshing aroma that stimulates your appetite. The spicy miso ramen also had sansho pepper on top, but it was not that great because the spiciness canceled it out, so the regular miso ramen might allow you to taste the sansho pepper more. The surprisingly long, crunchy bamboo shoots were also distinctive. Thank you for the meal.

On March 1, 2023, in Sapporo, I returned to a shop in the Ramen Alley near Sapporo Station called "Baisensha" and had Sapporo miso ramen for lunch. As part of my trip, I enjoyed a lunch beer. On the table, there were condiments such as sansho pepper, chili pepper, pepper, and garlic. I ordered the Char Siu Ramen with Spicy Miso for 1,150 yen. The dish was topped with plenty of Char Siu pork and green onions. The juicy Char Siu pork had just the right amount of fat, and the soft-boiled egg was a nice touch. The noodles had a translucent appearance typical of miso ramen, and there were also bamboo shoots included. The flavor of the ramen was honestly just average or slightly above. The staff seemed completely unmotivated and their responses felt indifferent. When I asked about using the local promotion ticket with a seal on the ticket machine, the staff simply replied that they didn't know. Additionally, when I ordered a beer, it took a while to be served, and when I asked for it, the staff mentioned they were understaffed and couldn't attend to other tasks. Despite this, the beer was eventually brought to me. Overall, the choice of words and lack of customer service skills were disappointing. It seemed like a touristy area where the staff didn't put much effort into serving customers, perhaps due to the high turnover of one-time visitors.

I tried the fish-based miso ramen and it was delicious. However, I felt that the goodness of the fish and the richness of the miso didn't really complement each other well. The richness of the miso seemed to overpower the fish flavor, giving it a somewhat half-hearted taste of fish powder. Overall, the base soup and noodles were tasty, so I would rate it 3.5 out of 5. Of course, food preferences vary from person to person, so those who love fish powder may enjoy it.

The shop has a unique business hours until 5:00 AM, which is quite convenient in this area. Sapporo was quiet on Sunday night, with few open shops, so I decided to visit here. The retro and elegant BGM music created a relaxing atmosphere reminiscent of a ramen shop. I wouldn't recommend it for groups, but it's perfect for enjoying ramen alone. It's a good place for two people to visit. The interior is similar to Marugen Ramen I visited before, with a few counter seats. However, while the previous shop had a more traditional feel, this one felt more modern and stylish. It's all about personal preference when it comes to choosing a ramen shop. I ordered the fragrant seafood miso ramen for 950 yen. The seasoned egg was creamy, and the menma had a distinct flavor. The generous toppings like green onions, cabbage, and bean sprouts were delightful, and the thick, flavorful chashu was a highlight. The noodles and broth were delicious, but the toppings were what caught my attention. The presence of ginger and sansho pepper on the table added a nice touch. It's definitely worth another visit! Thank you for the delicious meal today!

This place is located in the Ramen Alley, where there are more tourists than locals, but locals also visit occasionally. Although this restaurant may not be as well-known, the classic Sapporo-style miso ramen is reliable. The interior of the restaurant is small, with about five seats. There was only one staff member working. The soup has a strong miso flavor, with a balance of saltiness, sweetness, and a hint of bitterness. The noodles are classified as medium-thick, and the taste is close to what you would expect from a classic Sapporo ramen. The small size of the restaurant may not be suitable for bringing a group of people, but it is perfect for enjoying a bowl of ramen by yourself.

I went bar hopping and realized I hadn't eaten properly today, so I decided to have ramen as my last meal. I went to a coffee roastery called "焙煎舎" recommended by the bar manager. I arrived at the restaurant around 9:30 pm, and after waiting for about 15 minutes, I was seated. It was my first time there, so I ordered the recommended miso ramen. It arrived in about 10 minutes! The soup was just right, not too rich or too light, which I liked. The bamboo shoots were soft and delicious! The noodles were medium thickness and had a nice chewiness, which I also liked. I want to try the spicy miso ramen next time!

From the moment the noren curtain was put out, I had high expectations as customers started coming in one after another. The small bowl with chashu overflowing looked amazing. I took a sip of the soup and it was fantastic. The seafood miso flavor was superb. Mixing the seafood powder on the seaweed made it even more flavorful. Before I knew it, I had finished eating it all!! Amazing. I also like the ramen alley next door, but I like this place too.

After drinking six cups of sake and feeling quite tipsy, I visited this ramen shop in the Ramen Alley. It seemed to specialize in miso ramen, with a wide variety of options. I opted for the regular roasted miso ramen with green onions and wood ear mushrooms as toppings. While sipping on a beer, I waited for my order. It didn't take long as there were no other customers at the time, maybe just around 10 minutes. Since they prepare each bowl individually, there was a slight delay in serving each of our orders, with the first one arriving in about 10 minutes and the others following shortly after. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we had to request water each time we wanted a refill. As for the taste, it was... average. Not particularly outstanding but not bad either. I heard that adding ginger and sansho pepper can enhance the flavor, but the ginger provided was not freshly grated, which was a bit disappointing. However, I must say that the toppings were quite generous, especially the wood ear mushrooms for only a hundred yen. The bamboo shoots were also delicious. Overall, the ramen had a wide variety of toppings, so I made an effort to finish every last bite. Thank you for the meal!

It's after work. There are measures to prevent the spread of something, and oh, the state of emergency has been lifted, and the first week of October with only 2 days is over, and it's been a while since I've been to Susukino in the evening. It's already October, so the sun sets early, and even at this time, the neon lights stand out. But when it comes to alcohol... I'm trying to save money (laughs). Since the beginning of this month, prices have gone up in various places, so... (´;ω;`)ウゥゥ Today, after quite a long time, I came to this alley. According to the official website, there are currently 16 stores in this facility, and I have already visited 10 of them. Today, I'm visiting the 11th store in this alley. This alley is still not very crowded due to the "pandemic," but there are more open shops compared to when I last visited in early June. Still, there are shops open from 5 pm or 6 pm, so... So, today I chose this place. I felt like I could eat some delicious miso ramen. First, I checked the menu posted on the wall of the shop, and when I entered the shop, there were no other customers before 5 pm. This is a touch panel ticket machine that supports four languages. Compared to the ramen shop with a red tent and white letters near my workplace, it's pretty simple (laughs). Let's go for the "Roasted Miso Ramen" as the shop name suggests. But wait, is it "Roasted Miso Ramen"? Well, never mind, I inserted a 1,000 yen bill, tapped the screen, and tapped the ticket button, and a food ticket and 150 yen in change came out. The shop is actually called "Baisen-ya" instead of "Baisen-ya." Oh well (laughs). I handed the food ticket to the young staff. When I looked around the shop, I noticed that it was not "Roasted" but "Fragrant Roasted" ramen. And the shop's name is not "Roasted Tea House" but "Baisen-ya" (laughs). No wonder the shop doesn't smell roasted (laughs). After about 5 minutes, the staff brought out the ramen, warning me that it was hot. The scene was... a rich, milky soup with a light sprinkle of fish powder on top, two slices of roasted pork with white powder, four pieces of white, long menma, one halved boiled egg, and plenty of chopped green onions. The miso ramen was packed in a small bowl. First, I tried the noodles. The noodles were a slightly curly, medium-thin type from Kanejin Foods, with a good chewiness. The soup that coated the noodles was a rich white miso base, but not too heavy or salty. The richness was not overwhelming, and there was a good balance. There were a few stir-fried bean sprouts in the soup. It was more on the rich side than the light side, but it was a well-balanced soup. The second slice of roasted pork I ate was quite thick, maybe it was just the end part. This would definitely make me want to order rice at the end if it was during the daytime. When I asked the staff, they said, "Most people who order the seafood miso also order rice." I guess I'll have to come during the day next time. Thank you for the meal.

I went to Susukino to find a place to have ramen for dinner, but every place I had in mind was closed. I thought of the original Ramen Yokocho and decided to give it a try since it's usually for tourists and not many locals go there. As expected, there were no customers at any of the shops! It's been a while since I've been here, and about half of the shops were closed due to the pandemic. I decided to try Baishenya, which had a nice atmosphere. I ordered the Kosen Shio Ramen for 800 yen including tax. There were no customers before or after me. I waited about 12 minutes for my bowl to arrive. The tonkotsu soup looked gentle and the delicious chashu, bamboo shoots, and various shapes of green onions made the visual presentation attractive. Let's dig in! The soup was a light tonkotsu with a good aroma and richness. The noodles were firm and had a nice texture that paired well with the refreshing tonkotsu shio flavor. The bamboo shoots were soft at the tip and had a good crunch at the base, offering two different textures. The soft-boiled egg was also delicious and went well with the soup. This ramen was exactly to my liking, and I finished every last bit of it. It was a satisfying meal. Thank you for the delicious food! 2021 Ramen Review #99.

2020/4/4 First Visit "32nd in 2020" With the current situation where self-restraint due to the coronavirus is becoming more common, it is important to balance it with supporting the economy. So, I decided to go out on the weekend and have a nice lunch! My wife has taken early morning train trips before, so... off to Susukino, a place I love. I decided to visit Baissen-ya, a ramen shop located in Ramen Yokocho. It's a place I've been curious about lately. I arrived a little after 11:30 am. It was lunchtime, but almost all the shops in the alley had very few customers. I guess the self-restraint due to the coronavirus is still ongoing. Baissen-ya was no exception, and I was probably the only customer. I purchased the default "Kosen Miso Ramen" for 850 yen from the ticket machine. It's a counter-only shop. I sat at the far left end and waited for my ramen. A young man was handling everything by himself. He prepared the ramen quickly, and it arrived soon! The appearance was like a modern ramen rather than a traditional one. I took a sip of the soup. Huh!? This is... delicious! It's a miso ramen, but it seemed like there was pepper on it, which turned out to be Sichuan pepper. The sharp spiciness was great, but more importantly, the taste of the soup was straightforward. It brought out the umami of the miso without any gimmicks! The noodles were medium-thick Sapporo noodles with a lot of water content. They matched well with the slightly salty soup. The vegetable was bean sprouts, which were quite crunchy. They seemed to be quickly seared at a high temperature, so the smell of bean sprouts was properly removed. The combination with the noodles and soup was excellent. The menma was bamboo shoots. This modern touch was to my liking. The chashu consisted of two substantial slices. They were firm but still tender, with a mild flavor and not too fatty. Everything came together nicely, and I could have finished the soup, but I restrained myself as I had another ramen shop to visit next. So far, I think this is the best miso ramen in Ramen Yokocho. Even though I prefer the old-school style, this place was outstanding, ignoring that concept. I definitely want to try their seafood miso and spicy miso ramen, so a revisit is a must. Depending on the taste, it might even deserve a 4.5 rating! It was really delicious! Thank you for the meal!

Hmm, it's difficult to evaluate this ramen... I think it's the soup that divides people's preferences. Is there something on top of it? It didn't suit my taste... Maybe there was some seasoning I don't like in it? People who like it, really like the taste!! If you're curious, give it a try! Also, what caught my eye was the extremely bad customer service! Well, it was late at night and maybe they were tired? Throwing chopsticks, being loud, giving off a vibe of "hurry up and finish eating"... (After we left the restaurant, he headed towards the restroom so I understood) Being forceful and being manly are two different things, in my opinion.

Visited Sapporo Ramen Alley in N Grand Bell 1F, 6 Nishi 3-chome, Minami 5-jo, Chuo-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido on October 13, 2019. The original Sapporo Ramen Yokocho Baishensha was closed, so we wandered around Susukino in search of ramen. We decided to explore the Ramen Alley as it seemed like the quickest option! The Ramen Alley is a popular spot for tourists from overseas, and we saw many of them that day. The shops operate on a food ticket system, and I was surprised to see that the ticket machine was multilingual. I ordered the Fried Miso Chashu Ramen, while my companion ordered the Fried Seafood Miso Chashu Ramen. After a short wait, our ramen arrived. My companion's ramen was topped with fish powder, giving it a rich seafood aroma. As for my Fried Miso Chashu Ramen, the chashu had a nice garlic-like scent. The ramen itself had a classic miso flavor, and the bamboo shoots were a nice touch. We enjoyed our meal. Thank you for the delicious food.
