Right after getting off at Nara Station, we visited Momoshiki. We went as a family, and while the restaurant is famous for its sukiyaki, we decided to go with a set meal this time! ✔︎Wagyu Beef Over Rice Upper Loin Steak 3,300 yen (tax included) ✔︎Wagyu Beef Tataki 2,420 yen (tax included). The sukiyaki course comes with sukiyaki, seasonal vegetables, light pickles, miso soup, the chef’s special sashimi, freshly cooked rice, and dessert. You can choose the meat in portions of 120, 180, or 240 grams. I ordered the Wagyu Beef Tataki, which comes in a wooden container with tataki and shiguré on top. I followed the staff's instructions on how to enjoy it: 1) First, eat it as it is; 2) Add some fragrant seasoning to enhance the flavor with pepper, yuzu pepper, and spicy powder; 3) Enjoy it as a flavorful rice soup by adding broth and toppings like puffed rice, nori, and chopped wasabi. The set meal left me feeling fully satisfied, and I found the price reasonable for a dinner. The meat was fluffy and delicious, and I appreciated that the minced meat wasn’t just ground meat. The ability to change flavors kept the meal interesting until the end. The first floor has table seating, while the second floor features private tatami rooms, perfect for relaxation. For dessert, we ordered the Koto-ka Milk Shaved Ice. It was topped with milk espuma and paired with sweet strawberry-flavored shaved ice; it was refreshing and delicious. Thank you for the meal!
