Dinner is decided at "Hige"! The main store is located in Minami 5-jo, and it seems that reservations are not accepted there, so I made a reservation here. I heard it's a popular place, but I was surprised to see that there are only a few reviews currently. I later found out that this is because a new page was created due to relocation and renewal. Although the old page still shows the store as closed, the relocation notice is clearly posted, so let's consider that settled! The main differences from the main store seem to be the course menu and the European-style interior design in white tones. Although it's not crowded, there are about 4 groups of customers ahead of us, and more keep coming in, so it seems like they have a steady flow of customers! I had already checked the menu! When I visit Hige, I'm going to eat this! So, I enthusiastically chose the "Lamb Burger Teppanyaki 200g (¥1760)" for the first time experiencing lamb burger. I thought if I'm going to Hige, I should go for the lamb burger, even if it's a bit more expensive than other options! I hesitated a bit between the cheese simmered and the teppanyaki style, but decided on the teppanyaki to fully enjoy the original taste of the lamb. Rice is available at an additional cost, but since the main dish itself seemed quite filling, I decided not to order it to gauge how full I would get. The eagerly awaited hamburger arrived 15-20 minutes later! The teppanyaki experience right in front of you is so dynamic, with oil sizzling and splattering non-stop from the hot plate. The plate had a hamburger topped with fondue-style cheese sauce, tomato, broccoli, Neapolitan pasta, eggplant, carrot, lemon, potato, Japanese-style sauce, and a layer of cheese sauce all over! There were also hints of basil sauce! The hamburger had a firm texture and was meaty, with a richness that increased with each bite! While it didn't gush out like you see on TV shows or videos when you cut it, it was still good for lamb meat! There was no characteristic smell that lamb meat usually has, and the texture with a good bite was so addictive that before I knew it, I couldn't stop cutting with the knife and fork! The perfect balance between the rich cheese sauce and basil sauce was amazing! The cheese sauce was rich and full-bodied, with a mellow aftertaste that you could savor... Even with such a strong cheese flavor, the original taste of the lamb meat was not overwhelmed, proving how delicious it was! The distinctive acidity of the basil paired perfectly with the hamburger! The provided Japanese-style sauce was refreshing, adding a touch of Japanese flair! There were many ways to enjoy it, whether eating it as is or changing the flavor with the sauces, so you could enjoy the last bite without getting tired of it! The Neapolitan pasta was also tastier than frozen ones. It was similar to the Neapolitan pasta you find at cafes. The chewy texture, the rich and slightly sweet and light acidity of the ketchup flavor were irresistible. It was also quite filling, serving as a good substitute for rice! If I had to mention one downside, it would be that I wished they had brought the lemon in a separate dish. It was too hot to handle and I couldn't squeeze it for further flavor changes until it cooled down. However, I did get a hint of lemon flavor from the cheese sauce on the plate, so I was able to enjoy a different flavor change as a result, so... let's consider that good enough! (2nd visit) The hamburger, which is different from the typical beef hamburger, was very delicious, and I had a great meal! It's unclear when I'll be able to eat here again, but if I do come back, I might go for the steak next time. In that case, I'll probably consider using a coupon to make it more affordable, maybe for my birthday month! Thank you for the meal.
