Once-a-year big study session has successfully ended. We invited a famous teacher from Japan and after the study session, we had a feedback session (also known as a party). A bus came to pick us up to the university venue, it felt like a field trip. For the second year in a row, we had the feedback session (or so they say!) at Jasumakku's Japanese banquet "Hanayuzen". There's a sense of luxury in the air. The distance from the entrance to the private room is long. All the staff are dressed in traditional Japanese clothing. There are 8 dishes in total. I won't comment on the content, as I am just an ordinary person. The dishes are served in the following order: appetizers, sashimi, grilled dish, simmered dish, side dish, fried dish, main course, dessert. The portions are elegant, but there is enough time between each dish for the satiety center to work. I'm nervous because there are famous teachers here (sweating). I hope to continue to liven up the study sessions with everyone next year. Thank you very much. And thank you for the meal.

Sapporo nights are in Susukino♬~ Tonight, I visited Susukino Jazz Mac Plaza. Jazz Mac Plaza has natural hot springs, a hotel, and restaurants. After having Genghis Khan during the day and smelling like BBQ, I came to the hot springs. Then, I stopped by "Hanayuzen" located in the same building. Of course, after a bath, you have to have a beer! I quenched my thirst with beer and ordered scallops and sea squirt sashimi from their live tank. The live scallops were sweet and had a nice texture! The sea squirt sashimi had a slight bitterness that was just right. The sparkling wine was also delicious♡ From the recommended menu, I ordered butter-fried asparagus. Hokkaido asparagus is sweet and the butter complements it well. Asparagus teppanyaki♡ The squid ink dish had crunchy squid and you could taste its freshness! It was sweeter than salted squid and delicious. They have a huge live tank where you can choose your sashimi. The restaurant is quite spacious with private rooms available. It has a luxurious and bubbly atmosphere. With a wide variety on the menu, you can enjoy different dishes. Jazz Mac Plaza in Susukino is a recommended spot♬~ Thank you for the meal (*^o^*)

Visiting on June 26, it feels like a change of term. I realized that I have been coming here every June since 2014 (laughs) for five consecutive years in June (laughs) for the joint board meeting of the old and new members of the organization. The new fiscal year starts in July, right? This year, they worked hard within the budget again. I appreciate it. The staff always take care of us and make the meetings enjoyable. There was no sashimi this year, but they had tuna tataki instead. Even with a low budget. Thank you as always. This place has tatami rooms in the back and a bubbly interior in the hall. The interior reminds me of the Showa bubble era. I think it's a great Japanese restaurant that can accommodate both small and large groups. Thank you for the meal.

Arrived at 6:00 pm on a regular day. Visited with about 30 colleagues for a company event. Located on B1F of Jasmac Plaza, the restaurant has a luxurious atmosphere. We were seated in a private room for the banquet. There was no specific course listed on the website, so the price was unclear. The drink menu included all-you-can-drink beer, specifically bottled Premium Malts. The menu consisted of: - Appetizer: Shrimp and long yam cool breeze small dish - Sashimi: Summer squid and amberjack - Grilled dish: Swordfish with salt koji, lemon cream sauce - Simmered dish: Chicken meatball and winter melon, burdock root simmered together - Side dish: Grilled beef and asparagus with yuzu miso - Palate cleanser: Yuzu miso marinated blanched pike conger - Main dish: Eel pressed sushi - Dessert: Strawberry, orange In total, there were 8 courses, with many dishes reflecting the summer season. The swordfish and beef were incredibly tender and delicious! The eel pressed sushi was also very tasty, although the vinegar in the sushi rice was a bit strong. The staff constantly refilled our drinks and were attentive throughout. Their service was top-notch. I may not personally visit this restaurant often, but it is perfect for gatherings and events!

Once-a-year big study session has ended, followed by a feedback session. We were picked up by a bus near the university venue and taken to Jasmax Building. The restaurant called Hanayuzen, located in the basement of this building, is a place that ordinary people like me rarely visit. From the entrance to the private room, the atmosphere feels like a traditional Japanese restaurant. The meal consisted of eight courses, starting with appetizers, sashimi, grilled dishes, simmered dishes, small plates, pickled dishes, rice cooked in a pot, and dessert. After each dish, the staff in kimono would promptly clean up. Normally, at parties, we don't mind leaving empty plates until the end. But in this restaurant, it might feel a bit rushed (laughs). This occasion also served as a farewell party for a teacher who has provided guidance since the establishment of the study session. It's sad to say goodbye to the teacher, but I thought this special teacher, who has influenced both Japan and overseas, deserved a special send-off at this restaurant. Thank you very much (tears).

This is the underground floor of Jasmac, a restaurant often used for banquets. The restaurant mainly consists of private rooms, creating a stylish and luxurious atmosphere while maintaining privacy. We had a course meal with all-you-can-drink option. The food included typical banquet dishes like sashimi and simmered dishes, as well as a rare option of grilled meat on a net. Due to the heat source issue, the meat ended up rare, so it's better to eat quickly without getting too caught up in conversation. Overall, the food was average. The collaboration with Jasmac also offers bathing facilities in Susukino, making it a unique experience. The website link is http://www.hanayuzen-sapporo.jp.

Visit date 2017.6.27. This is for a meeting. We have been using this place at the end of June every year (lol). Despite the limited budget, they always accommodate us, and we are grateful. I wonder if we have been using it for 5 years now (lol). The place is located on the basement floor of the Jasmine Hotel. The interior is honestly quite extravagant, like something out of the bubble era (lol). It's rare to see such a Showa-era luxuriousness with chandeliers, a pond, and mirrors everywhere. We had our meeting in the back Japanese-style room as usual. The staff's service was as good as always. The food was also good for the budget. We are always grateful. We will use this place again next year. Thank you for the meal. (´Д`)

Enjoy a course at the Japanese restaurant "Kawayuzen" located in the basement of Jasmac. The restaurant is located in the Susukino area of Sapporo, in the Jasmac Plaza Hotel. The interior is luxurious, with a large central fish tank. We enjoyed the "Seasonal Course - Seasonal Sashimi and Tempura" for 3800 yen, which included seasonal appetizers, a sashimi platter, grilled dishes, tempura with shrimp, snow crab, and vegetables, ikura rice, soup, pickles, and dessert. We had a luxurious time in a spacious tatami room, and even though it was a weekday lunch, we felt like coming back for dinner. Overall, it was a nice restaurant with a good atmosphere that I would like to visit again. On January 26, 2017, I visited a Japanese restaurant located in the basement of the Jasmac Plaza Hotel in Susukino, Sapporo, which has a natural hot spring. I attended a "Sake Tasting Event" where we enjoyed a selection of premium Japanese sake and dishes. The restaurant's interior was luxurious with a red and black color scheme and a 5-ton seawater tank with various seafood. The menu for the event included a variety of dishes such as appetizers, grilled fugu, grilled Spanish mackerel, simmered dish, fried fugu, vinegar citrus clam soba, and a selection of sake. The sake selection included various brands from different regions, each with its unique flavor profile. The food and sake were delicious, and the only downside was that smoking was allowed in the restaurant.

On the second night of our Hokkaido trip, we had Japanese cuisine at this restaurant in Sapporo. The restaurant is located in the basement of a hotel in Susukino, and we decided to dine here again because the organizer of this trip had a good experience here before. Personally, I think it's a great location right in the middle of Susukino, making it easy to move on to the next place. We enjoyed the following dishes: Appetizers - Assorted Hokkaido delicacies, Sashimi - Assorted four kinds, Side dish - Grilled hairy crab, Grilled Kinmedai, Simmered dish - Simmered Atka mackerel, Flat plate - Grilled potatoes and snow crab, Fried dish - Tempura of king crab and vegetables, Main dish - Salmon roe rice, Miso soup, Pickles, Dessert - Melon. The appetizers included three dishes: Spicy miso-marinated salmon roe, simmered bay scallops, and spicy marinated squid. They all paired well with sake. The sashimi consisted of sweet shrimp, scallop, sea urchin, and salmon. Among the dishes we had, the grilled Kinmedai was particularly delicious with its rich flavor. The only disappointment was that the rice in the salmon roe rice dish was not vinegared rice but plain warm rice. Overall, it was a lovely meal.

Revisit on 2016.6.28, it's been about a year since my last visit. Just like last year, I visited for the Lions Club's final board meeting. I know you always struggle with the budget, but I appreciate your support. You still don't serve cold dishes, which is consistent. The warm dishes are served warm. Thank you as always. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal. Revisit on 2015.6.23. Today, I visited for the Lions Club's final board meeting of this term. Well, the food was the usual (laughs). There are always a lot of meetings and banquets, so I'm not listing everything. However, even at banquets, they always serve warm dishes properly, so I can trust them. Thank you for the meal. Revisit on 2015.3.20. Today, I visited for the Lions Club District PR IT. It's been 9 months since my last visit (laughs). Well, as usual, when I come here, it's for a meeting. This time, the grilled dishes were a bit cold, so it's a shame. This place always pays attention to detail, so I'll take it as a one-off (laughs). Thank you for the meal. Visit on 2014.6.24. This time, I used it for a meeting. Since the beginning of this year, I think this Hanayuzen has been the 5th time for me? All for meetings (laughs). Every time I come here, I think the staff here are all wonderful. They support the banquet in a pleasant manner. From appetizers to desserts, they carefully consider and cater to the budget. This time, I don't know the budget, but I'm sure they worked really hard even with a tight budget. I always end up in the back banquet room, so I have never eaten in the main hall, but I think the interior is wonderful. I would like to have a meal there personally one day, enjoying the beautiful and luxurious interior. Thank you for the meal.

Located underground in Susukino, Sapporo, Tōkakyō is a natural hot spring. When using the hot spring, you can choose between a private room on the 3rd floor or casually enjoy beer or wine in the spacious hall. Today, I was invited by an acquaintance and only used the banquet without entering the hot spring. As usual, the friendly service led me to a private room. After a toast, a lantern was brought over. It was sashimi. I enjoyed the appetizers and sashimi, but I couldn't help but notice the pot. When will they light it up? The hairy crab arrived. I'll have some sake. I don't need ponzu sauce. I quickly took out the crab meat and mixed it with crab miso. The grilled trout and the lotus root dumpling in turtle shell soup were both delicious. But I'm starting to wonder when they will light the fire. It's almost 6 pm, and an hour has passed. The restaurant is starting to get busier with more customers coming in. Finally, they lit the fire! The excitement begins. I haven't had crab rice in a while. "Please do not open the lid," they said. I can't wait to see what's inside. The beef steak was served... but... I can somewhat understand the colorful vegetables, but the beef steak is hard to comprehend... I can't find the right words to describe it. It's delicious, though. Tempura with snow crab, now that's something. Isn't the crab rice ready yet? The tea bowl, miso soup, and pickles are all set. I must not open the lid without being instructed by the staff. It is essential to "endure patiently" and follow the instructions on how to enjoy the delicious crab rice. Hurry up and give me the signal, please. Encouraged by those around me, I manage to hold back, but it's tough. It's now or never, right? The staff is nowhere to be seen. This is my chance! I opened the lid, and the aroma is amazing. Everyone else couldn't resist and opened theirs too. Sorry, everyone at the restaurant. The dinner was a delight. I may not have the habit of eating rice for dinner, but this is different. It's freshly cooked and delicious. The pot is now clean. I devoured it all! Drinking, eating, enjoying, it was a delightful meal. Did you know about this place? You made a great reservation. What, you're staying at this hotel? You don't want to go outside, huh? Smart move, it's 20 degrees different here. What, you're treating me? That's naughty. Feel free to visit anytime, I'll show you around...
