Coffee was not only available in bean form but also in drip bags. They only sold single-origin coffee beans, not blends, and seemed to be a specialty coffee shop. I'm not sure if they were cupping and evaluating the coffee, but I actually tried a sample and found it to be high quality. They didn't need ice, and it was clear they didn't provide sugar or milk, indicating their intention to focus on the coffee itself. Just when I was thinking about where to buy coffee beans as I had run out, I happened to stumble upon it on my way back from a customer's place!! It's called "Coffee Specialty Shop Baisen Tanigawa" across the road from Ramen Yamasakura. They also had homemade baked goods that seemed to go well with coffee. And for some reason, they were also selling konjac. There was parking for one car, and the interior of the shop looked like a room in a one-room apartment, but there were also table seats for two people. A kind-looking lady seemed to be running the shop alone. I tried a sample of the iced coffee, Brazil Berry Special, which was delicious! I almost decided on this one, but after chatting a bit, I decided to go with the deep-roasted Evergreen coffee beans from Vietnam. When I opened the bag of Evergreen beans that day, a rich aroma that promised deliciousness wafted out. Excitedly, I tried the freshly ground and brewed coffee, which had a slightly gritty bitterness and a smooth, silky texture. The initial aftertaste was a lingering bitter taste that clung to the tongue. The bitterness was not too strong, and it had a good body but lacked depth and richness. I wished for a bit more richness and depth. The aroma was not as strong when drinking as it was before grinding. As I drank it for a while, a gentle sweetness lingered after the bitterness. Of course, I drank it black without sugar. The gentle sweetness lasted for a long time. It was a coffee with a light body that was soft but also clear. I plan to try their iced coffee next time.
