First of all, I would like to request a correction. The address and map are incorrect. The restaurant is no longer located in the alley, so please be aware. The restaurant is located on the street after you exit the alley. Please make the correction, Tabelog. I had a one-night business trip to Tomakomai after a long time, maybe 2-3 years? I finished work around 6 pm and felt hungry, so I wandered around. As I was walking, I noticed that due to the coronavirus, the streets of Kincho were deserted on a Saturday night. It was quite scary. Despite that, I decided to dine at Tomato Nohoppe. They have branches in Tomakomai and Shizunai. I sat at the counter in a corner, where there was a lady sitting alone. I learned that the owner's daughter is currently managing the Tomakomai branch, while the owner himself is in charge of the Shizunai branch. It must be tough to handle everything alone, considering the number of seats they have. Anyway, I decided to start with a Heartland beer. The appetizer was pot-au-feu, which tasted as good as always. I also ordered fresh sashimi and my favorite Ice Wine. The Ice Wine was so easy to drink. While enjoying my meal and drinks and chatting with the lady and the owner, three more of her friends arrived. Suddenly, the counter turned into a girls' night out, except for me. Feeling a bit out of place, I ordered Raclette cheese with bread as a final dish before leaving. The melted Raclette cheese on the bread was so delicious that the girls exclaimed, "It's so Instagrammable!" I quickly finished my meal, had a sip of my drink, and left with a smile. No matter when I come here, I always leave satisfied. It's a great place to have pizza with a group of friends as well. I personally love their pizza here. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I visited a different kind of restaurant from a traditional Japanese-style izakaya. The atmosphere here is bright and clean, with some sports bar vibes as well. They were playing women's handball on the TV that day. I ordered a glass of red wine and pork chops. The complimentary appetizer was a delicious chicken tomato soup. The red wine was easy to drink, not too heavy or bitter. The pork chops came with a generous amount of tomato sauce and cheese, and the meat was lean and easy to eat. The tomato sauce had a rich flavor which was really nice. I enjoyed the pork chops with another glass of red wine before leaving. The restaurant is clean and has a nice atmosphere, and it seems like a good place to watch sports as well. The house wine is affordable at 500 yen per glass. It could be a good spot for a casual drink alone or for group gatherings.

A mature couple who usually only eat at home went out for a drink this time for a work party, so they requested a Western-style izakaya that they rarely visit. They climbed a steep staircase to the second floor of the restaurant. Inside, there are four table seats and a counter in a U-shape, seating about 20 people. There are TVs on three walls, so even those dining alone won't get bored. I arrived 30 minutes early and had a drink by myself while watching TV. I had a unique white wine and liqueur cocktail called Blanc Brillant Jewel, which used cherry blossom liqueur. It had a soft cherry blossom scent and was not too sweet for me. Just as I was thinking about ordering a second drink, everyone arrived. We ordered drinks and made a toast! As for the food, we were served a small plate with vegetables, ham, shrimp, and French bread with garlic butter as a charm. It was enough to go with a drink. For the second drink, I had a refreshing green drink with mint. Then, our ordered dishes arrived - flounder carpaccio, penne arrabbiata, vongole, chicken garlic sauté, and potatoes. It was a bit small for sharing among four people, but everything was delicious!

The Italian-style izakaya, which has been beloved in Tomakomai's Yataimura for over ten years, has acquired a relaxed and comfortable "space" where customers can unwind. With its L-shaped counter seats and long tables, the restaurant provides a welcoming atmosphere suitable for both individuals and groups. The menu features a variety of European dishes, including traditional Italian favorites and creative dishes that pique interest, all at affordable prices. During a gathering, we enjoyed a special course featuring dishes like Aomori Shamo chicken, seasonal asparagus, and J-Farm's rich tomatoes, showcasing the chef's network of quality producers. The standout was the caprese salad with incredibly sweet and flavorful tomatoes. Other highlights included smoked tuna collar, a unique dish with sea urchin, tofu, seaweed, and olive oil, and Nagoya-style spaghetti. The all-you-can-drink course with Heartland beer and red wine complemented the meal perfectly. By using seasonal ingredients and skillfully enhancing them, the restaurant creates approachable and delicious European cuisine. The interior is decorated with Tomakomai ice hockey team uniforms, adding a touch of homey charm to the lively and friendly atmosphere that suits this restaurant so well.

This was also a restaurant that caught my eye in a magazine. A friend recommended it, saying it was delicious, so I decided to visit. The restaurant was on the second floor, so I climbed the stairs from outside. The walls were decorated with ice hockey and soccer uniforms, giving it a sports bar vibe. Inside, there were TVs on three walls, which was a bit different but the atmosphere was lively with other customers having a good time. I ordered some drinks and looked at the extensive menu. When the drinks arrived, they also brought a tofu dish topped with sea urchin, nori, olive oil, and cheese as a complimentary starter. It was a unique combination that surprisingly worked well. We also ordered a curry pizza with raw egg on top and shrimp ajillo with salted kelp, both of which were delicious. From the specials board, we tried grilled asparagus with tartar sauce (juicy but slightly lacking in sweetness) and uni omelette with tomato sauce (rich and flavorful). The food was fresh and creatively prepared. The only downside was the chilled red wine served in a glass. Overall, the prices were reasonable, and the menu had interesting combinations. I would love to come back to try the meat dishes and Hokkaido oysters when I visit again in a different season.

I left before getting enough information to evaluate. Upon entering the restaurant, I ordered a dish with melted cheese on bread (forgot the name) and some prosciutto. The taste was so-so, nothing special. I was planning to order more, but the atmosphere of the restaurant that day was not very pleasant, making me feel uncomfortable, so I decided to pay and leave early. Since I left quickly, I can't evaluate the cost performance. If this is how the restaurant usually is, it would honestly be tough. Based on this first impression, I don't think I'll be going back again.
