After work, I decided to stop by Umineko-san for the first time in a while. I noticed that the parking lot can accommodate 6 cars, but I wondered if that would be enough. However, it seems like you can also park in front of the neighboring house. I visited during lunch last time, but I found out that they also serve alcohol in the evening, turning into an izakaya. The most popular dishes are curry rice and omurice. I ordered "The Showa-style Omurice" (700 yen) with a side of mini salad (100 yen). Before the meal, they served a small appetizer, which seemed like a bean sprout namul. While waiting for the omurice, several locals came in. It feels like a shop loved by the community. The omurice had a nostalgic appearance, typical of a cafeteria style. It came with plenty of fukujinzuke. The omurice was topped with a generous amount of cheese, creating a three-layer structure of egg on top of cheese on top of chicken rice. A cheese omurice! It was delicious, especially for cheese lovers. It tasted like home-cooked meal, delicious and affordable. The cozy and comforting atmosphere of the restaurant makes me want to visit again. Thank you for the meal.

I chose the curry from the menu at Shokado Showa, a newly opened restaurant at Zenehan Coast. The deeply flavored braised pork curry was delicious, with just the right amount of spice without being overly spicy or overpowering. Eating curry near the sea was a great experience.

I heard that a new restaurant opened in the neighborhood this month, so I went to check it out. It's located right next to a large Japanese restaurant. It seemed not very well-known yet, as there were no customers when I arrived, only one group came in after me. There are parking spaces for 6 cars. The restaurant is a renovated ordinary house, and you have to take off your shoes and go up in socks. It seems like a place where a team of friendly middle-aged women is working hard. Looking at the menu, all the dishes are reasonably priced. I was intrigued by the curry, but I wondered if they have a special touch with curry udon. So I ordered the "Curry Udon from the Town of Yellow Handkerchiefs of Happiness" for 700 yen. The piping hot curry udon that arrived was quite spicy. If you're not good with spicy food, you might want to be cautious. The broth was flavorful and delicious, with plenty of meat in it, very satisfying. Towards the end, I thought it would be nice to add a little rice to the remaining broth, so I would be happy if they offered a small size of rice as an addition. While I was eating, one of the women cooking in the kitchen came over to chat. She was originally from Yuubari, where curry udon is a specialty. Ah, that's why this menu item is named like that. I left the restaurant full and satisfied with the delicious curry udon. I will definitely go back again. Thank you for the meal!
