Adjusting my schedule at Hassamu Ion! And why not grab lunch while I'm at it, at Sukiya! It's been about 10 years since I last visited the Sukiya at Hassamu Ion. I remember coming here with a silly friend from high school and getting into all sorts of mischief. I wonder what he's up to now? I ordered the regular beef bowl lunch set for 500 yen. I wasn't too hungry, so I went with the regular size. The set comes with miso soup and salad, a great deal! The regular beef bowl is quite generous in portion size. If I had been really hungry, I would have gone for the large size. With the miso soup and salad, my stomach was completely satisfied. For 500 yen, this amount of food is a great deal. Well done, Sukiya!

I was lured in by a TV commercial and came to Sukiya to try their tender chicken curry. I was worried because last time I visited, they were sold out of curry unexpectedly, but today they had it! The wait from ordering to being served felt long... about 5 minutes. The presentation was just like in the commercial, with a generous portion in a deep bowl. This was actually my first time trying Sukiya's curry. It was quite spicy. It made me crave water while eating. However, the main chicken was indeed tender as advertised. I was given a fork to shred the meat, but it was not necessary at all. The chicken easily fell apart with just a spoon. It was so tender that you could taste the natural flavor of the chicken. If this becomes a regular menu item, I would want to eat it regularly because the chicken is so delicious.

I went to Sukiya at the Aeon Sapporo Hassamu store for a quick lunch because I was short on time. I chose the "Gyudon (beef bowl) regular size" without much thought. The Gyudon was served in just a few minutes, and although my photo of it was a bit blurry, it tasted good. I usually prefer Yoshinoya for my Gyudon, but Sukiya is not bad either. Sukiya has many locations, making it convenient to eat there. I will definitely visit either Sukiya or Yoshinoya again in the future. Thank you for the meal. Sukiya is a chain of Gyudon (beef bowl) restaurants operated by Sukiya Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Zensho Holdings. It has the highest number of domestic locations in Japan, with a total of 1,930 stores (as of June 2019). The storefronts prominently display the words "Gyudon" and "Curry," as these are the main menu items. Sukiya also has international locations in countries such as China, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Brazil, and Mexico. The founder and president of Zensho Holdings, Kentaro Ogawa, used to work at the Gyudon chain Yoshinoya and was with the company from 1978 to 1982. The company currently operating Sukiya, Sukiya Headquarters Co., Ltd., was established as a subsidiary of Zensho Holdings through a corporate split in September 2011. All Sukiya stores are operated directly by regional subsidiaries of Sukiya Headquarters, with no franchise locations.

On a certain weekday, I had lunch at the Sukiya restaurant in the Aeon Mall in Nishi Ward. The parking lot is spacious since it's located in Aeon. The restaurant is on the third floor near the center of the food court, and even before lunchtime, there were customers coming in, perhaps due to the restaurant's popularity. I decided to try the "SUKIMIX Bibimbap Regular (580 yen)" as it seemed to be a popular choice. The dish was quickly prepared and served, and I mixed the sauce provided before taking a bite. The dish resembled bibimbap, with a bowl of rice topped with beef, namul (seasoned vegetables), slightly tangy kimchi, and spinach. Mixing it all together with the sweet and spicy sauce provided, it was a satisfying meal that could be enjoyed by both men and women for a casual lunch. Thank you for the meal.

Recently, I tried a trendy black curry dish that caught my attention. I ordered it at a food court where it was ready in seconds. I also wanted to have curry and beef bowl, so I chose the black beef curry. It came with a set that included eggs. I topped the beef with eggs and pickled ginger to make it into a beef bowl. The curry was quite rich and delicious. I chose the maximum spice level of 5, although it wasn't very spicy, it seemed just right for this curry. Even though it's a beef bowl restaurant, this curry was really tasty!

Welcome. ---------- October 2020 ----------Hassamu Ion 3F Food Court Middle |o| °д°)ノHelloThe sign wasn't red so it was hard to see.Wow, Wang Hua is doing well (like the Zangi Don for 990 yen)I realized I hadn't tried the eel at this place before, so I ordered the "Eel, Beef, and Clam Soup Set".They had a clam soup fair going on, but I usually just ordered the eel on its own so I wasn't sure what was different. The set had 1/3 eel, beef, clam soup (this was the small size), and pickles.Maybe it was because my expectations were high, but the eel was very juicy and tender. It didn't have that melt-in-your-mouth eel texture, but the melt-in-your-mouth sensation was the priority. The hint of sansho pepper added a nice accent to the sweet and salty sauce. The beef wasn't anything special haha. The soup had plenty of clams in a tasty broth. The pickles were light and refreshing.I think I'll start using different places for different dishes. Like, for eel and creative beef bowls, I'll go to Sukiya. For curry and set meals, I'll go to Matsuya. That kind of thing. (Personal opinion)

On a certain day in December 2019, my little one at home loves AEON and always says they want to go there when they have a day off. As for me, I tried to have curry at Sukiya, but they seemed to have a limited-time White Negi Beef Bowl on the menu, so I decided to try it. The appearance was okay, but when I took a bite, it was way too sweet. And to my surprise, there was very little meat underneath the negi toppings. It was so sweet that I couldn't enjoy it, and the lack of meat was disappointing. Another restaurant to avoid, it seems. Well, at least I tried it.

It's Hakkon Ion. It's a snack at 9 o'clock during a walking break. My family has breakfast together at 5 in the morning, so I get hungry by 9 o'clock. And since I eat before walking, I get even more hungry! The Hakkon Ion near closing time is empty, and there are hardly any people in the food court, so you can look around and choose freely. So this time, I was looking for something unusual. I found a beef bowl with spicy oil on top. It even had menma on it! I decided to go for it without hesitation! I ordered the Spicy Oil Menma Beef Bowl in a regular size for 500 yen. I added pickled ginger and shichimi pepper and enjoyed it all at once. The spicy oil soaked into the rice goes well with the beef bowl. Mixing the pickled ginger with the menma gives a good texture and a wild feeling! It's a change from drinks to food. All that's left is to finish it all at once. The revival version of the beef bowl with an arrangement is also great. It was a delicious meal. This is my 32nd review this year. It includes 19 rice bowls, 4 soba noodles, and 9 rice dishes.

- - - - - [4th Post] - - - - - [October 2015]This is my 4th post, so I'll combine two reviews in this one post.[December 2013] - Beef Bowl Special Large ★3.0Taste is the usual beef bowl from Sukiya, but this one is double the size of the regular one.Price: 580 yen (including 8% consumption tax)On this day: 520 yen (including 8% consumption tax)[December 2013] - Beef Aikake Curry Regular ★3.2Taste is a combination of the usual beef bowl and curry at Sukiya, a safe choice.Price: 550 yen (including 5% consumption tax)Note: The 4.0 rating is for the "Special Unadon," while the rest are rated between ★3.0 and ★3.3. I have kept the ratings the same this time.- - - - - [3rd Post] - - - - -"Special Unadon" [June 2013]This is my 3rd post, and I want to talk about the seasonal "Unadon." I had the limited-time "Special Unadon" (2 eel fillets) for 1180 yen as a takeout. The price of eel has been increasing significantly due to the shortage of Japanese eels. Even the pre-packaged eel at supermarkets has seen a price hike. The quality of eel in this dish has improved compared to previous years, making it a good value for the price.- - - - - [2nd Post] - - - - - [February 2013]This is my 2nd post, and I couldn't decide between CalorY's recommended "3 Cheese Gyudon" or KepoN's recommended "Grated Ponzu Gyudon," so I ended up choosing the "Curry Nanban Gyudon." The beef in the dish had minimal fat, making it suitable even for those who don't like fatty meat. The curry had a nice thickness and was flavorful with ingredients like leeks, carrots, and fried tofu. It was a pleasant surprise and a dish I personally enjoyed.

I had some errands to run and ended up at AEON, so I decided to go to the food court, which is rare for me. Oh, it must be spring break for students, there are so many children here even though it's a weekday lunchtime, it's really crowded, what a mistake. I don't really have anything specific I want to eat and I'm alone, so I'll just quickly grab a beef bowl and eat. ★ Date and Time of Visit ★ March 31, 2014 (Monday) ★ Purpose ★ Lunch alone ★ Order Details ★ Beef bowl with pickled vegetables, spicy cod roe, and mayonnaise - regular size (390 yen) / Cola (100 yen) ★ Time from ordering to serving ★ About 3 minutes ★ Impression of the dish ★ There was quite a lot of broth even though I didn't ask for extra, which I personally don't like. The spicy cod roe and mayonnaise were spicy and delicious when mixed with the pickled vegetables and beef. ★ Recommended Points ★ Since it's located in the food court, it's enjoyable even for families. Maybe because it's in the food court, they only had packaged pickled ginger available, which was a bit inconvenient. Sukiya has a variety of toppings, which is nice to have once in a while. However, it was quite tough to eat a beef bowl alone in this crowded place. I ate quickly and left promptly.

I'm definitely a fan of Sukiya! I've been a customer since my student days, and I love that they have a wide variety of menu options, so I never get tired of going there. I happened to stumble upon a Sukiya inside the Aeon Hakkon store, so I couldn't resist going in. The taste was just as good as always. I love ordering the Kimchi Gyudon with extra kimchi on the side, so that's what I got this time too. The staff's smiles were lovely, the gyudon was delicious, overall it was a great experience. It was busy with office workers on a weekday.

It is located in the food court on the third floor of Ion Mall. It's a bit of a hassle to go up to the third floor, but when I really want to eat at Sukiya, I go. On holidays, there is a bit of a line at the register, but the food is prepared quickly!! By the time you pay, your order is ready. Impressive. I love red pickled ginger, so I'm a little disappointed that they only provide small packets for takeout. You can take as many as you want, but it's a hassle to open multiple packets. Also, if you order "tsuyudaku," it's really drenched with sauce (lol). So, I order it normally from the second time. Even without extra sauce, the flavor is still delicious. The food court is very spacious, and it's nice to be able to enjoy a leisurely meal.

I sometimes use this place. However, it's a bit of a hassle to go all the way to the third floor where Sukiya is located in this large shopping center. There are other dining options available with plenty of seating. You have to get your own water and you also have to pick up your order, so the service is rated 1 star. It's crowded and spacious, so it's a bit unsettling. - Beef Bowl: Personally, I like Sukiya's beef bowl the best. It's not too thin or too thick, and it's the cheapest beef bowl you can find. However, I think there's a bit too much onion in it. I've ordered the Mega size before (rice portion is triple the regular size), but I ended up saying "I'm good" halfway through (with the meat). I think the Large size (rice portion is double the regular size) is just right for me. - Beef Bowl with Green Onions: It wasn't bad, but I think I'll stick to the regular beef bowl. - Health Set (Miso Soup + Chilled Tofu): The miso soup has little ingredients and tastes average, but the chilled tofu always has water collected in the bowl. The soy sauce gets diluted, so I wish they would drain the tofu properly before serving it. Beef Bowl (Large) 480 yen Beef Bowl (Mega) 610 yen Beef Bowl with Green Onions (Large) 580 yen Health Set +100 yen
