I had the opportunity to visit the Starbucks Coffee Kitami Miwa store, which opened on November 2, 2020, making it the first Starbucks store in the eastern part of Hokkaido's Okhotsk subprefecture. It was a pleasant surprise to have such a coffee shop in this area, as there are not many around here. I ordered a Baked & Creamy White Chocolate Frappuccino to go, without the whipped cream on top. Compared to the Triple Chocolate Frappuccino I had recently, this one was much smoother and easier to drink. The sweetness was quite prominent, with a creamy and rich sweetness from the baked white chocolate that was irresistible. However, towards the end, it became a bit too sweet and I started to get a bit tired of the taste. It would be nice if they had a smaller size option. Nonetheless, it was a satisfying experience.

Vanilla cream Frappuccino and English muffin. It's very convenient that they are available early in the morning when supermarkets and restaurants are still closed. Having a Frappuccino and English muffin for breakfast is a treat! The coffee bitterness is toned down, and the whole combination is sweet and delicious from top to bottom. The English muffin with meat, cheese, and scrambled eggs is simple yet tasty. Highly recommended for a morning treat!

I just arrived the other day. I realized on Sunday that my shoulder bag was missing, and it was bothering me since Tuesday. I searched the house on Thursday but couldn't find it, checked the car on Friday but it wasn't there either. I started to feel anxious. On Saturday, I had to go to Sapporo suddenly. I asked my wife, "Do you know where my shoulder bag is?" She asked, "When did you last see it?" I tried to remember and finally said, "It was on Sunday, right?" "You took it to Nitori, but you wouldn't leave it there, and you wouldn't take it to the bath either... Oh, Starbucks!" I called them, they listened carefully and asked detailed questions. "Are you sure it's yours? We have it here." I made a detour on my way to Sapporo and picked it up. They had kept it in a paper bag. I couldn't just leave without buying something, so I ordered a Frappuccino to go. It tasted familiar and delicious. They said, "Please mix the whipped cream and enjoy." It was just the right amount of sweetness, with a nice milk flavor. It was so delicious. Thank you!

There were quite a few furniture stores in Kitami with my friend, even though we originally said we were going to look at clothes. We didn't have time for that in the end. However, my friend said he wanted coffee because he was thirsty, so we tried to go to our favorite café, but it was closed. We ended up going to another Starbucks, which was also quite crowded. I don't like matcha, so I ordered a Melon Frappuccino, which I really enjoyed. The place was a bit dirty, especially the floor, but the tables were clean. The staff didn't seem to clean the floor during business hours, which is not ideal. The café was not very crowded, so we were able to relax.

I visited Starbucks Coffee Kitami Sanrin store! It was my first visit. Until the ramen shop opens, I'll try going to Starbucks. It seems like it was just recently opened. There is a security guard, but it seems unnecessary. The store is medium-sized with not too many seats. I ordered a coffee press for 430 yen excluding tax. I chose Sumatra this time, just like I did at the Starbucks in Kushiro. They served it in a paper cup. The deep roasted bitterness is comforting and the aroma is nice. I stayed for about 20 minutes and then left. Oh, by the way, the Starbucks sign now has the correct spelling, it's not "STRA BUCKS" anymore. All in all, it was a good experience.

I went to the newly opened Starbucks in Kitami on the 2nd day. I heard there was a long line, so I went around 7 am when it seemed like I could get in easily. There were about 10 people in line, so it wasn't too bad. The interior of the store is new, but it's just a regular Starbucks. It has an open and bright atmosphere, which is nice. I usually only order Starbucks Latte, but this time I decided to try something different, so I ordered an All-Beef Sausage Pie and a Dark Mocha Chip Frappuccino. Somehow I managed to order without stumbling over my words (laughs). The pie crust was chewy and went well with the sausage. It was delicious. As for the Frappuccino, it was like a coffee shake. It wasn't too sweet and had a good balance of coffee bitterness. It was quite tasty. If it becomes easier to get in without waiting, it would be a convenient cafe for everyday use.

"Starbucks" Finally found a relaxing time at this store. Depending on the time, there may still be a need for a guide. Instead of aiming to go there, it's better to just go in if it's not crowded when passing by, right?? Finally, Starbucks has opened in Kitami. It's not that I wanted it to come, but Starbucks is necessary for Kitami's status, right? Well, they must have chosen a good location to open the store. Kitami used to seem like the east was more developed, but now it's overwhelmingly the west... The difference is huge. The west just sounds better than the east. Sapporo?? Obihiro??... Those are the only ones that come to mind. Sapporo seems to be making an effort in the east too. It's new and trendy. I ordered the "coffee of the day" but couldn't remember what it was. Recently reevaluating the trend of Starbucks coffee. Depending on the day and the beans, sometimes it's not good. It reminds you that some beans can be tasteless. It was a tasteless bean... Not sure if it's the fault of the Kitami store. I'll have to come again to find out... Really?

I ordered a Macadamia Toffee and Caramel Macchiato at the drive-thru. I waited for about 30 minutes from the employee who gave me a QR code near the drive-thru lane (about 10 cars ahead) until I received my order. There were other people waiting at the entrance of the store for the same amount of time. My ice order was made hot, but the staff kindly remade it for me. Thank you. The freshly made drinks were delicious ☺️ I would like to come back again.

In an area where Starbucks didn't exist until now, everyone is going crazy with excitement, lining up as if possessed and going wild. This includes both people and cars. Yes, it's a Starbucks with a drive-thru, so the line of cars is insane. People are even skipping over fast food places like Sukiya and yakiniku restaurants to line up at the corner Starbucks. I didn't really go to Starbucks much before, so I decided to try out a bunch of food items I've never had before. The bread items are pretty satisfying and many of them are delicious. There's this thing called a Salad Roll, which is a thin bread with salad rolled inside, kind of like a fresh spring roll. It's surprisingly moist and has a nice texture, with a good balance of vegetable crunchiness, refreshing salad chicken, and a hint of sweetness from the thin bread. I also got a Mango Passion Tea Frappuccino, which I've always liked for its sweet and sour taste. I ordered three cakes that were missing, so I had to call and go back to pick them up. It seems like the staff inside are still getting used to things, with about 10 people behind the counter.

The muffin, pear cake, and coffee were all delicious.

It's a new Starbucks in the area, so people are going crazy with excitement, lining up in long queues both on foot and in cars. The drive-thru option attracts a lot of cars, with lines sometimes extending all the way to the next intersection. I bought some food items I had never tried before since I rarely visited Starbucks. The pastries are satisfying and delicious. One standout item is the Salad Roll, a thin bread with salad wrapped inside, reminiscent of fresh spring rolls. It's surprisingly moist, with a nice texture and a hint of sweetness. I also enjoyed the Mango Passion Tea Frappuccino, which is sweet and tangy. I had to go back to pick up the three cakes that were missing from my initial order, as the staff seemed a bit inexperienced and the counter was quite crowded. Update on 11/25: I made a few more takeout purchases. The Buche de Noel was soft and smooth, with a tasty outer coating. The Cranberry Bliss Bar was harder than expected, with a strong cinnamon flavor that might not suit everyone. The initial parking lot chaos has settled down, but it seems more efficient to order inside rather than through the drive-thru at this store.
