By the way, it turns out he wasn't the store manager, but the center director at "Kitami 3rd Hormone Center." I'm starting to feel scared about Yomesan's restaurant choices in this "Why do I end up in these places?" series. Today's restaurant choice is getting even more eccentric. I dressed normally and thought I wouldn't smell bad, but I follow quietly into the restaurant because I believe in not complaining about restaurant choices. At the counter, I confirm if it's okay to sit down. Thankfully, there's no thick smoke, and the beer I order comes in a proper beer mug, so I feel relieved. I order "hormone," "shiitake mushrooms," and "beef skirt." The staff member is alone, and he seems like the center director. He's a bit quirky, and when I mention that the place looks like a copycat of Mokkiri Center, he admits that there are some similarities. I have two beers, while Yomesan decides to stop at one drink for today. The charcoal is difficult to light but burns well. The "beef skirt" is cheap but decent in quality and quantity. The hormone was not my favorite, but it had good fat content. The shiitake mushrooms should not be flipped as they are thick and covered in sauce. I light a cigarette, which I know is not ideal in this setting. Overall, I've visited 10 places in Kitami over the past week, and three of them have been quite similar. It feels like a gathering place for regulars. I personally do not like restaurants where the staff light fires, so I may not revisit this place, despite it having a local vibe.
