I often passed by and was curious, but it seemed like a long-established place tucked away and hard to enter. I found the menu on Google Maps, so I decided to visit with a friend. We ordered: Cheese Toast for 380 yen, Chocolate Parfait for 500 yen, and Vienna Coffee for 450 yen. Inside, there were quite spacious game tables on both sides. When I thought about ordering coffee in addition to the toast, I was told, "Coffee is included." It's cheap at 300 yen with coffee included. We shared the toast and cheese toast and it was delicious. They said it would take some time, but it didn't. The staff, who seemed to be in their mother's age, were very kind. There were many regular customers. Two men also came in. It's close by, and I'm curious about the apple cake and cheesecake, so I'll visit again. Thank you for the meal.

【Completely Smoke-Free】Located near JR Kitahiroshima Station, this old-fashioned coffee shop in Sapporo's Machinaka has been in business for many years even after moving here. The name "Hassel" comes from a camera, which was the beloved camera of the late owner. Originally, there used to be food menus at this cafe, but now they only serve drinks. The location of the shop is right at the T-junction with the Chuo overpass along Route 46 (Ebetsu-Eniwa Line), just a 7-8 minute walk from JR Kitahiroshima Station.
On July 5, 2020, at 3:30 PM, I revisited this place feeling hungry after only having a large beef bowl for breakfast and cycling at a slightly high altitude level on my mama-chari. I came back here because the pilaf I had before was the most delicious I've ever had. When I asked if they had any food menus available, they said they weren't serving food at the moment but assured me that it was okay to just have water and leave. However, I insisted on having a cup of coffee. I ordered a blend coffee for 380 yen, and they freshly ground the beans and made a meticulous hand-drip coffee for me. Though I didn't confirm, it seemed like a Nel drip with a slightly acidic, hot coffee that was incredibly delicious. I really appreciate these old-fashioned shops that serve such carefully brewed hand-drip coffee. The owner of the shop is quite elderly, so I want to keep visiting as much as I can.
My cycling route today was from here to the top intersection of Lake Shikotsu Cycling Road and back, with a total cycling time of 4 hours and 39 minutes, covering a distance of 101.29km at an average speed of 21.7km/h and a maximum speed of 59.8km/h.
