The other day, I attended a company drinking party at a place in the Norbesa 7th floor building, which is easily recognizable as the building with the Ferris wheel. However, once I got off the elevator, I was a bit confused (laughs). The restaurant had a Chinese feel with a noticeable red interior. As I entered, there were raised seating on the left for about 40 people, and three table sets on the right. Since we had a large group, we had the entire restaurant to ourselves. When we sat down, the hot pot was already set up (I guess this was a shabu-shabu style hot pot). The pot was divided into three sections, each with a different soup - one looked very spicy, another had a medicinal taste, and the third was a kombu broth. You could put vegetables and meat of your choice into the pot to cook. There were three types of meat - pork, beef, and lamb, and when combined with the soups, you could enjoy a variety of flavors. Honestly, none of them really stood out to me. There were also various dipping sauces like ponzu, sesame, momiji oroshi, and asatsuki, but none of them were particularly delicious. The service was decent, and drinks were served fairly quickly. At 3,500 yen for all-you-can-eat and drink, it's not bad, but I find that there aren't many shabu-shabu restaurants that offer a truly delicious all-you-can-eat experience. It might be fine for a younger group's party, but at my age, it felt a bit off. Personally, this restaurant wouldn't be my choice to visit again.
