Today I received the afternoon off so I went to a restaurant I've been curious about for a late lunch. I went to Urara 1号. I called ahead and they mentioned they were hosting a yoga event today, but it would be okay to have lunch after 12:30. I arrived a bit later, at 12:45. There was one group of adults with three adults and one small child already there. The owner was friendly and there were plenty of toys and books for children, making it a welcoming place for moms to visit alone as well. The restaurant is located on the first floor of an apartment building, just off to the side of Kimura Shokudo. The interior is unique, with lots of knick-knacks, children's clothing, and other items. There are 5 counter seats and 2 tables for 4. I ordered the Baked Curry Doria for 1,000 yen (tax included) and changed the coffee to iced for an extra 50 yen, bringing the total to 1,050 yen (tax included). The food arrived in about 15 minutes. I started with the salad and pickles as they looked hot. The Baked Curry Doria consisted of rice, curry, topped with egg and cheese. The curry had minced pork, large potatoes with skin, and carrots. The cheesy topping was delicious, though it was hot. The curry was mildly spicy, suitable for children as well. I had a pleasant conversation with regular customers and the owner, and enjoyed the company of a cute child. I had a relaxing and delicious meal. I will definitely come back again. Thank you for the meal!

I went to a small shop on the 1st floor of an apartment in a shopping street called Urara 1-gou. It is located across the street from Kawasaki Kikko, so you need to pay attention or you might miss it. The apartment is a dark gray color. There seems to be parking in front of the shop, but the owner's car was parked there, so only two more cars can fit. There is also space in the back so it's okay. I sat at the counter since I was alone. The elderly man sitting next to me seemed like a regular and explained the menu to me. The "Urara Don" is minced meat stir-fried with ginger on top of rice, quite substantial! He recommended it for when you feel like eating a lot. I opted for the daily set which was fish cheese fry. It came with small side dishes of Japanese food which I enjoyed while eating. You can have seconds of rice, so even men can feel satisfied. They also offer cake for 200 yen after the meal, but I chose a regular one instead. It was a spring strawberry cake. It was a strawberry pound cake. The staff at the shop are friendly and easy to talk to, making it a comfortable place for solo diners.

☆The cooking image was difficult to understand, so I will post a modified image☆I visited "Urara 1" in the bustling Midorigaoka shopping street that is currently the talk of the town! I had been quietly curious about this place, but my interest peaked recently (*´∇`*) Once I get interested, I just have to go - it's just my nature. After work (around 21:30-22:00) on Monday and Tuesday, I tried to go, but it was so popular that there were quite a few cars parked, and I didn't have the courage to go in alone, so I gave up. And today... there were two cars parked... Alright, I'm going in! I mustered up the courage and entered! Later, I found out that one of the cars belonged to the owner (*´∇`*) The owner is a very cute lady (age undisclosed, haha). The shop is on the first floor of an apartment, and the entrance looks like a regular house entrance. It used to be a snack bar that has been renovated and is now in business. The shop's mascot "Urara-chan" greets you outside the shop (*^-^) The interior of the shop is so whimsical that you wouldn't imagine it from the outside, filled with handmade cute decorations and trinkets everywhere. It's a dream world. And the food selection is quite impressive too ☆☆☆ Today, I had the recommended menu "Daily Set - Urara Day". The main dish was "Salmon Black Sesame Tempura". It also came with five side dishes. It was quite a voluminous and well-balanced Japanese side dish (*^-^) By the way, you can have one extra serving of rice for free. The menu also includes options like adding coffee or a post-meal petit cake, but the prices might change or they might not be available at night, so it's best to ask the staff. Everything was delicious, but I was chatting with the owner the whole time, so I don't remember half of what I ate (* ̄∇ ̄*) It's like home-cooked food. They also have a "Adult Lunch" and dreamy menu options, with a wide variety of drinks and desserts, making you want to linger ✿✿✿ It's a cozy place that will heal your work fatigue! It seems like there are quite a few customers who come alone. I received chocolates as it's Valentine's season when leaving, and coincidentally, I met the husband who was celebrating his birthday today (2/16) ☆☆☆ Congratulations! I want to visit again to be healed (*´∇`*) Everything was so cute that I couldn't stop taking photos, sorry about that ヾ(;´▽`A`` I really want to go back soon! ☆

I went with my friends for the first time this month! The miscellaneous goods are so retro and cute☆ The inside of the store is calming and the staff are very friendly and soothing☆ I ordered an almond au lait and a small strawberry parfait. The almond au lait is just the right amount of sweetness and I could drink many cups of it (lol). This time, I had the small strawberry parfait (they also have a large size) and the container is just so cute! Perfect!☆ I feel so healed (lol). Next time, I want to go for lunch! The downside is that the prices go up from 8 pm onwards (cries). It's tough for prices to go up in this recession... but I really like it!! I will definitely go again(≧∇≦)

This cute cafe is a place where you can enjoy a proper meal. The colorful interior is decorated with illustrations drawn by the owner. Everything in the cafe is unified by the owner's personal taste, creating a mysteriously calming atmosphere. The cafe has two 4-person tables, one 2-person table, and a counter, making it a welcoming space for solo diners as well. I tried the daily Japanese set meal "Urara Biyori" for 850 yen, which includes a choice of meat or fish, several side dishes, rice, miso soup, and orange. The home-style flavors and surprisingly generous portion made it a good option for dinner. They also offer 2-3 types of homemade cakes, and cake sets are available. I would like to visit again for tea next time. It's a bit disappointing that the cafe is not smoke-free due to its small size.
