This review may have been a bit harsh, so I apologize if it upsets anyone. Please understand that this is just my subjective opinion. The shop is located near Susukino Station, just a short walk straight down Ekimae Street. I visited around 11:30-12:00. It is located across from Club Gang and next to Manryu. I had been curious about it for a while, so I decided to stop by on my way back from dinner. The budget is around 300-600 yen, with each item costing less than 300 yen. I purchased a meat bun for 280 yen and a red bean bun for 280 yen. [Positive Points] - The buns were wrapped in a bag that reminded me of traditional wrapping for chimaki, which added a nice touch. - The filling of the meat bun had a good texture with ingredients like mushrooms. However, personally, I found the filling a bit lacking and the taste of the outer bun not quite satisfying. This may be because I am used to a famous chain from Osaka. Thank you for the meal!

While strolling through Susukino, I came across this shop with stacked steaming baskets outside. It was cold, so the warm steamed buns caught my attention. When I placed my order, they warmed them up for me. They use steam to heat them up, making a loud "pshhh" sound. The atmosphere is similar to the food stalls in Osaka like 551. The buns here have thick, fluffy skins which I really like. The sweetness of the filling is subtle, but there is a unique aftertaste, maybe from sesame oil? Since each bun is large, sharing one between two people is just the right size. There was a keyaki tree nearby.

The other day, a friend brought me some shumai that I had been curious about. It was my first time trying it and I found that the meat was very juicy and each piece was quite large, so I felt very satisfied. I think it would make a great gift to bring to someone as a souvenir.

Nikuman (steamed pork bun) is delicious! It costs 280 yen each. The filling has big chunks of bamboo shoots and wood ear mushrooms, and the taste is great! It's even better when you pour the sauce from the container over it. Make sure to buy some on your way back from Susukino. It gets really crowded during the Snow Festival season.

I was supposed to aim for Kaisorou, but somehow I thought this was it and kept buying anman lol. I often make such mistakes lol. I bought it, split it, and was like, "Yum, yum," eating it, then looked at the opposite lane and thought, "Huh? Anman... Kaisorou... huh?" lol. Seriously, don't open a Chinese bun shop so close to here!!!! (Not the fault of the store) I've had anman at the Charyo Kotoni store lol (already reviewed it). I really wanted to eat anman that day, so it turned out okay lol. - Anman has a thick and large dough as its characteristic. I'm happy that they steam it before serving! The steam was amazing lol. The fluffy dough is so good that I wish they would sell it separately. It has a steamed bread-like texture. The red bean paste inside has a sesame flavor and is not too sweet, smooth like a smooth red bean paste. It was delicious and satisfying, but... next time, I will definitely go to Kaisorou lol. I even thought about doing a double feature, but it would be awkward to carry anman from Charyo lol, so I stopped lol.

Before going to have a drink at the Charyo Susukino store, I felt a little hungry so I bought a meat bun for 250 yen. It was my first time buying from this place even though I had passed by the Susukino Market many times before. The meat bun was big with lots of fillings. You could really taste each ingredient with every bite. I like to eat it with soy sauce. It's the kind of food you crave when it gets cold.

I suddenly felt like eating it in October 2021, so I bought it!! It's the season when I crave meat buns lol I bought one!! I won't ask for extra sauce and will enjoy it at home~ It was quite filling, so one meat bun was satisfying. I also liked the taste. Thank you for the meal (^^♪

I called out loudly, and a staff member appeared from the shadow of the steamer |д゚)ノ ハイッ - Meat Shumai 750 yen A set of 5 large pieces, well seasoned with spices, no need for sauce, good texture with a mix of coarsely ground meat, delicious (o´艸`) - Seafood Chimaki 300 yen I was finally able to buy it! It's always sold out (>_<) Sticky and chewy rice with octopus and small dried fish, maybe? The scent of the bamboo leaf transferred to the rice is nice. After getting drunk, I had a meat bun. I hope that everyday life like this will return soon. Thank you for the meal (^ω^)

I went on a business trip to Sapporo. I didn't have time for lunch, so I bought a meat bun (250 yen) here and ate it while standing. Unlike the pork buns you find in Chinatown, this one had a lot of ingredients other than pork and was seasoned with a rich flavor. The slightly sweet skin paired well with it, and it was very delicious. It was big in size and filling, which was very helpful.

I bought it during the bright hours of 2020.10. Long ago, my family used to buy it often and enjoy it together. As soon as I opened the steamer, the appearance of the meat bun looked delicious and made me excited. The fluffy texture of the bun was great! When I opened it and cut it, the texture of the meat and the taste of the filling were different. When I tried it, it was delicious! I will definitely go buy it again. In the lonely Susukino entertainment district affected by the new coronavirus, I stumbled upon a nostalgic sight - Susukino Market. The building and sign looked just like they did in the past! So, I decided to take some items back to my hotel: Pork Bun for 250 yen and Char Siu Sticky Rice Roll for 300 yen. [Pork Bun] This bun is two sizes larger than ones from convenience stores, with fluffy dough. The filling is sweet and reminiscent of a baked bun from Gunma. The filling is chunky and solid, quite unique compared to typical dim sum fillings. [Char Siu Sticky Rice Roll] This roll has a rich flavor, possibly from the oil of the char siu. Despite that, the amount of char siu is small, but the name is fitting! The rice is sticky like mochi rice, with a soft and chewy texture. It would have been better if it had a crumbly texture like rice cakes or red rice, but maybe that's difficult to achieve with sticky rice rolls. I recall seeing the same shop in Sendai's Kokubuncho district. If I spot steam rising from an entertainment district again, I'd definitely want to stop by. Thank you for the meal.

As I was wandering around, I started feeling hungry. Luckily, I found this shop and bought an anman. The steam rising from the shop was no joke. It was hot, really hot. I wonder if it's burning. I'll eat it while waiting for the taxi I called. I'm not a big fan of meat buns, but the amount of red bean paste in this anman was just right and delicious. Thank you for the meal. I think I'll focus on buying anman from now on.

I stopped by a shop at the corner of the intersection. It was a bit hidden, but I was drawn in by the steam and got a meat bun to go. The filling with octagonal spices was slightly sweet and tasted authentic. Inside, there were rare ingredients like wood ear mushrooms. The skin was also thick and satisfying to eat! I am full and satisfied!

This is Susukino. It's a manju shop at Zero Susukino. It's so cold that steam is rising! There has been no snow at all this year, the weather is strange, isn't it? I wonder what will happen if the weather continues to be strange like this. After the first round, it's time for nikuman. There are two customers before me. I bought a lot of them as souvenirs before going home! These two are buying in the heat of the moment, but I wonder if their family will eat them late at night? They must be causing trouble for their family... Papa will eat them. Nikuman 250 yen. Considering the volume and quality, it's quite cheap! I enjoyed the hot nikuman around the stairs at Zero Susukino. The taste was good and it warmed my body up! After this, I had two bowls of ramen to finish off... it's my current craze. Thank you for the meal!

I went to the Charyo Susukino store for the first time. It's the place with all that steam, have you been there before? The menu includes nikuman (meat buns), anman (sweet bean buns), shumai (steamed dumplings), and chimaki. I decided to go with the nikuman, which costs 250 yen. They steamed it again for me. The steam was really impressive. I wanted to eat it right there, but I waited until I got home. After warming it up in the microwave, it was delicious! The filling had chunks of shiitake mushrooms. It's a different type of nikuman compared to the ones you get at convenience stores. The nikuman from specialty shops is on a whole other level. It was so tasty. Thank you, Charyo, for the great meal!

Even though it wasn't crowded, I decided to stop by for lunch. I bought a meat bun for 250 yen and a BBQ pork sticky rice for 300 yen. The meat bun had a strong punch and a big filling with soup. This is delicious!!! My concept of meat buns has changed. The sticky rice was also incredibly delicious! I'm curious about the shumai too...

I met my friends at the corner of Zero Street while waiting for a taxi. I decided to buy some meat buns as souvenirs. I bought 4 of them and got into the taxi to go home. However, I forgot the meat buns in the taxi. I contacted the taxi driver and asked him to keep them because I was already too drunk to care. The next day, I went back to the same store and bought the same meat buns in the same quantity. This time, I didn't forget them and enjoyed them in the morning. These meat buns had chunky fillings and were smaller than the ones I had in the past, but they were still delicious. They were perfect for a light breakfast. Thank you for the meal.

After finishing a drinking party with friends in Sapporo and on the way to the hotel, I came across this restaurant where steam was rising over the counter. They served dim sum items like meat buns and shumai. I felt an aura that the pork buns at this place would be absolutely delicious. Even though my stomach was somewhat full, I decided to try a pork bun for ¥250 including tax. The area in front of the shop was a bit spacious, so I savored the hot pork bun there. Oh! It really is delicious! The bamboo shoots were crispy, the wood ear mushrooms were crunchy... The pork was cooked just right. While the appearance may be similar to Kanto-style pork buns, the filling is quite different... a whole different experience. It was a delicious pork bun... I will definitely have it again when I come back to Sapporo.

The meat bun shop in Susukino Market. In winter, the steam from the steamer makes the surroundings completely white, which is impressive. Although I have known about this place for a long time, this was my first time using it. Purchased: Meat buns 250 yen x 3 pieces, Meat shumai 5 pieces 750 yen. The friendly service, careful packaging, and overall atmosphere are pleasant. The soy sauce is in a bottle shaped like a pig. - Meat buns: A slightly sweet, fluffy skin. The filling includes minced meat, shiitake mushrooms, bamboo shoots, ginger... plenty of ingredients. The exquisite sweet and spicy sauce has a hint of pepper or doubanjiang, and the lingering spicy aftertaste is good. It's really delicious. - Meat shumai: Soft and flavorful pork. The coarsely ground meat occasionally gives a meaty texture, which is a nice accent. Yes, this is delicious too. Although the price is about double that of meat buns sold in convenience stores, I actually think it's cheap considering the satisfaction. I want to eat it again. Thank you for the meal.
