As a host at a customer gathering I have never personally visited, I got to try a type of Genghis Khan dish that is familiar to Hokkaido locals. There are various types of Genghis Khan dishes and ways to eat them in different regions. This time, I tried a type where thinly sliced lamb, which is affordable, is eaten with sauce. It was delicious in its own way.

The closest all-you-can-eat restaurant from home is a branch of Asahi called "Roin-tei." It is different from "Hamanasu-kan" and "Pilzen," which are more high-end. It is often used for tourist tours. During school trip season, high school students can be quite noisy. I visited for the second time on a quiet winter day. Since it's a buffet, I grabbed two plates and made a few trips to prepare for battle. While the sushi was not the best for all-you-can-eat, the side dishes and vegetables were quite good. The steamed vegetables were especially appreciated during the expensive vegetable season. I made about three rounds. The meat was excellent, and I focused on hormone dishes while also enjoying the seasoned mutton. The salt koji chicken was also delicious. I regret not getting a pitcher for the drink bar, as it was difficult to get water. In the second half, I stopped eating meat and attacked with carbohydrates like brioche, croissants, sea bream tea-soaked rice, and curry. The curry was filled with lots of meat and vegetables, making it a high-quality cafeteria curry. Pushing curry at a buffet can be risky, but I would gladly step on that landmine. I finished with a cute cake and coffee. For 1400 yen, I think I had a good time. Thank you for the meal.

It's been about 10 years since I last visited. There seem to be a lot more buildings now compared to before. We had the usual all-you-can-eat meal at a fixed price and it was delicious. The round roll mutton is addictive. It goes well with beer, making it easy to overeat. The restaurant is surprisingly spacious, but there were few customers, probably because of the 3/11 incident. It may sound insensitive, but we made a group reservation. We plan to visit again with a large group. Today, I saw some unpleasant posts on Tabelog claiming "fake reviews." It's really disappointing. It goes without saying that the restaurant is supported by many real reviews (true fans), so what are grown adults doing?

When it comes to work-related parties, beer gardens are the way to go. I think Asahi Beer Garden is probably the most popular choice. They have a large hall that you don't see often in restaurants. Personally, I love Asahi beer the most, so I enjoy coming here. As for the food, we usually get caught up in the drinking and end up satisfied rather than focusing on the taste. If you're planning a big party, you can't really go wrong here.

I used to live in Nango 5-chome and my company was in Higashi Sapporo, so I had quite a few opportunities to visit. It's just a normal beer garden. Since it's operated by Asahi Beer, I think they put a lot of effort into the facilities and services. At least compared to going from Shiroishi to the Kirin Beer Garden in Susukino, this local beer garden is just as good. I believe it's a facility that is highly valued for local events, school and company gatherings, and more.
