It's a new restaurant, taking over the spot of the former drinking district "Kawasemi." They accepted my reservation after I messaged them on Instagram. You can now make reservations through Tabelog. It was my first visit with a friend on a weekday. We ordered:
- Zangi (600 yen)
- Crispy grilled chicken skin (480 yen)
- Dashimaki Tamago (500 yen)
- Salmon onigiri (330 yen)
- Today's dessert (Cheesecake/Fondant au Chocolat) - price not specified
- Cola (300 yen)
- Otoshi (Isotsubu/Tai no nanika) - price not specified
There are 3 tables and a counter. The Zangi was juicy with a light seasoning. The crispy grilled chicken skin had a sauce on it, which was unexpected, but it was indeed crispy. The Dashimaki Tamago was a rare find as it was so delicious we couldn't stop eating. My companion loved the Hocke and praised its taste. When I asked about the dessert, they said they had various options like Cheesecake and Fondant au Chocolat, which my friend said tasted like the commercial ones. The Cheesecake was delicious. The onigiri was surprisingly large and filling. Smoking is allowed, and the background music included nostalgic songs like "Sailor Fuku to Kikanjuu," "Dokidoki," and "Machibuse." The owner, who used to work in izakayas in the city and Susukino, was the only staff, but he was efficient and friendly. They also serve sushi on weekends. Thank you for the meal.
