I wanted to visit Cafe Plica after seeing a shooting star's review. J Farm's Italian food restaurant (Regaroda J Farm) is located in the town center, but this cafe is seriously a hidden gem in the outskirts. It was a bit difficult to find. Google Maps led me to the employee parking lot, and I panicked (but then I noticed there was a sign). I had called the restaurant in advance, so I was able to slip in just before closing time at 2 pm. Phew! They are open from 10 am to 3 pm for retail (selling tomatoes and tomato juice), and the cafe is open from 11 am to 2 pm. I thought it was only open on weekdays, but it seems they are open on Saturdays too. There are two lunch options: pizza or pasta. Of course, I chose pizza! You have to wait about 10 minutes for it to be ready. You pay in advance, and they also accept electronic money. Both lunch sets are exactly 1000 yen. They accept all types of electronic money, so it's reassuring. The pizza is Margherita style. I took a bite and... oh, it's sweet! Delicious! The tomato sauce is incredibly sweet and rich! It's the first time I've been slapped by tomatoes in just one bite of pizza. It's like a dessert pizza with such sweetness that my brain glitches. It's a new sensation. The dough is probably pre-made, but it's thick and delicious, and the tomato sauce and cherry tomatoes on top are just too good. Wow, the tomatoes are the star. This pizza is all about the tomatoes, so if you love tomatoes, you must try it. The salad is J Farm's freshly picked baby leaf mix. So fresh! You can choose between Japanese-style and Western-style dressing. There are four drink options: coffee, orange juice, iced tea, and oolong tea. You also get a sample size of freshly squeezed tomato juice, which was also shockingly delicious. It's fresh and sweet! I ordered the freshly squeezed tomato juice for 350 yen and drank it all. It seems like it could make you really healthy. It's made with a slow juicer and contains no added sugar, but it's sweet! I couldn't resist and also bought some tomatoes and tomato juice to take home. Unfortunately, the Red Jewel was sold out. Bummer! I'm glad I got to try the super tomato-rich pizza! It was an interesting pizza with a strong tomato flavor. Thank you for the meal!

After finishing a meeting at the nearby martial arts gym, I visited this place for lunch. Oh no! The eat-in service is currently suspended. The staff here are very friendly. So, I decided to get a pizza for takeout. I also bought some tomatoes and juice while enjoying a complimentary coffee. The pizza with tomatoes and leafy greens was delicious. The outlet mini tomatoes were plentiful and tasty. The total cost was 800 yen for the pizza, 500 yen for the outlet mini tomatoes, and 500 yen for the tomato juice. Thank you for the meal!

Hiroyukiさん's review introduced me to the restaurant, and I happened to have a meeting nearby, so I was looking forward to visiting. J Farm Tomakomai Factory is a modern vegetable factory owned by JFE, mainly producing mini tomatoes. Its quality and charm are well known, and it supplies famous restaurants like "Regalo Da J Farm" in Tomakomai and its sister restaurant "RJ" in Sapporo. The restaurant is located on the factory premises, where tomatoes, vegetables, and processed products are sold, including discounted outlet items. The restaurant currently operates as a snack corner, offering a choice between a pizza set and a pasta set. On the day of my visit, there was a very friendly elderly female staff member managing everything alone. She was truly wonderful. **PIZZA SET ¥1,000** I started with freshly squeezed tomato juice, which was bursting with flavor. The gentle taste of tomatoes and their natural sweetness made me feel truly happy. I highly recommend trying this. The main dish was a heartwarming homemade pizza. It was topped with a generous amount of J Farm tomatoes and mini tomatoes, creating a flavorful yet refreshing taste. The pizza was not heavy but rather light and enjoyable. The crust was crispy, albeit pre-made, and the cheese, while not natural, added a good balance to the light pizza. The salad, made with J Farm's fresh greens, was also delicious, showcasing the quality of the ingredients. For ¥1,000, the set was satisfying. I also bought outlet tomatoes and shiitake mushrooms from the J Market store and received a salad leaf as a New Year's service. That evening, I enjoyed a glass of white wine with mini tomatoes, greens, Schüttelbrot, and Camembert from Yumiminka in neighboring Yahata-cho. The fresh, juicy, and rich mini tomatoes were excellent. Lately, my options for evening drinks have expanded, making it even more enjoyable. While Nishipa's beloved Momotaro tomatoes from Hiratori-cho are famous in Hokkaido, Tomakomai's mini tomatoes are equally impressive, with a touch of elegance and excellence.

The year-end and New Year holidays have finally begun, and during this time you can visit restaurants that are only open on weekdays. However, some places may also be closed for the holidays, so it's important to check first. I found this restaurant located inside a factory, and I assumed they would have a website, which I easily found through a quick search. The company is called J Farm, mainly known for producing cherry tomatoes, and they use these tomatoes to make tomato juice, jam, and pasta sauce. Although there was no specific page for the restaurant, I found an announcement stating that Cafe Pireca, which was initially a temporary pop-up in 2017, had become a permanent fixture due to its popularity. They currently offer two lunch options - pasta lunch and pizza lunch. The restaurant has a spacious and bright interior, with a retail section selling discounted cherry tomatoes. I chose the pasta lunch and paid upfront at the counter, also ordering a hot coffee for after the meal. Since there were no other customers, I had the entire space to myself. The lunch set came with a small cup of tomato juice that tasted just like eating a fresh tomato, with a hint of tanginess that tomato lovers would appreciate. The salad, made with their own fresh produce, was incredibly crisp and refreshing. The pasta, at first seemingly bland, came to life once the flavors of the tomato sauce and Japanese-style dressing from the salad mixed together in my mouth. It wasn't the typical ketchup-like taste but a true tomato flavor. My wife also enjoyed the meal. The coffee, brewed using a coffee machine, was rich and complemented the pasta well. When I praised the delicious tomato juice, a staff member showed me a sign recommending their freshly squeezed tomato juice, made from 350g of cherry tomatoes per cup. It's a must-try for tomato enthusiasts. I later tried their 1500ml bottle of tomato juice for 1,500 yen, which surpassed major brands in taste. It had a hint of saltiness with just 0.02g of salt, making it a delightful and unique tomato juice. My wife and I quickly finished the bottle. The tomato jam was more like a tomato sauce for pizza, with a subtle sweetness and tomato flavor.

J Farm, which produces high-sugar mini tomatoes and baby leaf in a cutting-edge solar plant factory using smart agriculture system, has a direct sales outlet called "Pirika Cafe." Due to COVID-19 precautions, the cafe is currently only offering takeout for coffee and other items, with the eat-in space temporarily closed. On Fridays and Saturdays, they also hold a local vegetable market called "Marche." During my visit on a weekday, they were selling J Farm's mini tomatoes and tomato juice, as well as chiffon cakes from Kokkoterasu's Eiko Farm. The high-sugar mini tomato "Red Jewel Premium" has a sugar content of over 10 degrees, offering a perfect balance of sweetness and acidity. A 100g pack is priced at 400 yen including tax, while a 250g pack costs 1,000 yen. I opted for the more affordable 170g pack with a sugar content of 8 to less than 10 degrees, priced at 500 yen including tax. They also had outlet tomatoes available in a 500g pack for 500 yen including tax. When I tried the tomatoes at home, they were indeed sweet! Even though they are below 10 degrees in sugar content, they are so sweet that it makes me wonder how much sweeter the premium ones with over 10 degrees must be. Not only are they sweet, but they also have a good amount of acidity, making them addictive to eat. They are really delicious. I am also interested in trying their baby leaf and visiting the market, so I will definitely stop by again if I am in the area. Thank you, Pirika Cafe!

After visiting the farm, I had Hayashi Rice made with delicious and sweet tomatoes for lunch. The mini tomatoes sold at the nearby shop were also sweet and tasty. You can buy them.
