The ambiance of the bar is excellent, and the master's personality is wonderful. As a newfound whiskey enthusiast, I felt truly happy seeing the numerous whiskey bottles lined up at the back bar. During my visit, I tried three cocktails. For the first one, I requested a red cocktail, and the master recommended the Daiquiri (Old Style). It had a sweet yet dry taste with finely crushed ice, making it easy to drink but with a high alcohol content, so caution is advised. The second cocktail was a Kiwi fresh fruit cocktail, which was incredibly delicious with the full flavor of fresh kiwi. Lastly, I tried the Black Rain champagne cocktail, which had a dignified presence and a firm structure. It had a unique taste with a hint of medicinal liquor, but without the usual rustic or amateurish feel. The fine bubbles and refreshing acidity of the champagne, along with its rich aroma and flavor, made it a sophisticated and adult-like cocktail. The Christmas decorations gave the restaurant a foreign feel. It had fun options like Othello, magic, and billiards! The interior was quite spacious and it's become my favorite place.

I visited this bar with a friend around 9 pm on a Friday. We had dinner at a nearby restaurant and I wanted to try some delicious drinks, so my friend recommended this place. As someone who has never been to a proper bar before, I was a bit hesitant and felt out of place. However, I ordered the recommended August special watermelon cocktail, which had a refreshing taste with a mix of watermelon and citrus flavors. The owner, Mr. Harada, taught me a lot about alcohol and his son performed amazing magic tricks that left me in awe. Their kindness and the magic show helped me relax and forget my initial nervousness. The conversation with the owner and his son was so enjoyable that I lost track of time. In addition to the August cocktail, I also tried the China Blue (lychee cocktail) and the ice cream cocktail (butter scotch and cinnamon flavor), both of which were easy to drink and got me quite tipsy without me realizing it. Despite feeling intimidated at first, once inside, it turned out to be a fantastic bar that provided a wonderful experience with great magic tricks and delicious drinks. I would love to visit again in the future!

At the 2018 2nd party, one of my colleagues took us to "Harada," his own bar. At first glance, it looks like a traditional bar, and the drinks are also very traditional. But the real highlight is the amazing magic performed by the staff! Despite my determination to see through their tricks, I was completely fooled. The staff member, Hiroshi, really got me. I was trying to see through their magic tricks, not their wig, of course. Hiroshi, the staff member, completely fooled me, but it was all in good fun! I was drinking Laphroaig 10-year-old, which I also enjoy at home. The peaty aroma seemed even stronger in this atmosphere. Of course, it's all in my head (laughs). Any cocktail is still the best (・∀・). Now, I'll have my favorite, Horse's Neck. The wavy texture is irresistible. The taste was to my liking. Delicious. It disappeared quickly. The cocktail menu is full of things I don't know, making me excited. They also have rice dishes, so a bar for a meal. I thought so. The master was elderly, but he made me feel comfortable and relaxed.

I was on a business trip in Susukino, and luckily had some free time in the evening. Instead of going somewhere for fun, I decided to go bar hopping. I asked a bartender in Tokyo for recommendations, and they suggested a bar in Susukino. With the address in hand, I nervously made my way to the bar, which was located in a business district. The atmosphere inside was warm and welcoming, with an older gentleman and his son behind the counter. I ordered a Gimlet and a Martini, and we ended up talking about the bartender's mentor, who happened to be a senior colleague of mine. Before leaving, they even offered to recommend another authentic bar in the area. I couldn't resist the opportunity for more adventure, and it turned out to be a fantastic night. Susukino may be known for its nightlife, but the prices at these old-fashioned bars were surprisingly affordable. I left feeling satisfied and grateful for the unexpected hospitality.

First stop on the Sapporo expedition. Arrived at the hotel in Sapporo on the last flight at midnight. Didn't want to just go to sleep since I was in Sapporo, so I decided to stop by a bar nearby instead of going all the way to Susukino. Was a bit hesitant at first when I saw the exterior of the bar... this doesn't look like a regular bar... but when I entered, it was surprisingly a cozy and proper bar. Phew. "We close at 12, is that okay?" "Then just one nightcap please ^ ^" Feeling like a grown-up making such an order. I tried a "Sidecar" with less acidity than expected, a well-rounded taste. Very delicious! But the shake by the bartender was unique. Holding the shaker upside down and shaking it horizontally with the top towards the pinky side. Interesting. When I asked the bartender, apparently Hotel Okura also does the same style. It was so delicious that I ordered another one, a strong short drink, and got a "White Lily" which is not commonly heard of but tasted great with the hint of Pernod. The bartender was very friendly, and we ended up chatting. He mentioned that he knows Sato from the local Le Veil. It's amazing how there are such connections in a random bar. There are various business hotels nearby, so it's convenient for going out before bed. The restaurant has a vintage, timeless feel with old-fashioned decor. It seems to have quite a few regular elderly customers. Customers keep coming in one after another. There are also booth seats, so it can accommodate a good number of people. The cocktails here are definitely a highlight. They taste amazing and are also cheap! I definitely want to go back for the limited beef stew. You don't have to go all the way to Susukino, there are good restaurants here too.
