"Sapporo Garden Palace Hotel" in Sapporo, for two people, it was a year later for an occasion. They had booked the hotel well in advance, as hotel prices in Sapporo have been quite high recently. Initially, they had booked a hotel for Friday night in Asahikawa, but due to a change in plans, they canceled that booking and booked a high-class hotel in Sapporo instead. The hotel room was spacious and comfortable, despite some reviews mentioning it as small and old. The hotel offered a pleasant stay, with a small bathtub but a great shower. The hotel was surprisingly affordable, leading to some speculation about the reason behind it. The vending machine in the hotel offered beer, which tasted just as good as in any high-class hotel. Overall, the experience at the hotel made the reviewer feel like they had become a slightly more sophisticated person.

I had a banquet lunch. After a grandiose description, I opened the lid and found a very simple menu. I looked back at the picture I had taken and tried to remember, but there was no particular impression, just passing the time... However, it was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Having a banquet at a large venue. The bento box was impressive. But there were no wet towels. There were shrimp and oranges, so my hands got dirty. I mentioned it. They forgot the first time, and the second time they brought only one for me. If you're serving bento boxes, I would like at least a wet towel. It's a hotel after all. The food was delicious!! The chawanmushi even had eel in it, so luxurious♪

It is located near the station on the main street. Across the street are the prefectural office and the prefectural assembly hall. There seem to be similar names like Garden Palace in other parts of the country. The Chinese restaurant located here is quite popular for lunch, even among non-guests, and has high ratings on Tabelog. Currently, they are offering a special discount for Hokkaido residents. The discount includes an additional 3,000 yen plus a 2,000 yen coupon that can be used at restaurants, souvenir shops, taxis, convenience stores, etc. The price for a single room with breakfast included is 6,500 yen. If breakfast is purchased separately, it costs 1,400 yen. The price for a room without breakfast is unknown, but considering that the price for a room with breakfast is 6,500 yen, it is more cost-effective to book the breakfast set. The parking fee is 800 yen per night. Breakfast is not in buffet style, but you can choose between Western or Japanese set meals. The food is delicious, but drinks are self-service. Breakfast is served from 7:00 am to 10:00 am (check-out is at 11:00 am), so you can enjoy a leisurely morning.

It was a memorable drinking party on March 19th (Saturday). I had so much fun and ended up drinking too much, so I couldn't eat breakfast. The hotel was somewhat calming, and having an underground parking lot was convenient. After checking out, I had a Chinese lunch and detoxed at Nagano Onsen.

I stayed in Sapporo for a change of pace. The underground parking here is convenient. The room is similar to a single business hotel room, but the toilet has been newly renovated. I had breakfast the next morning with a slight hangover. Normally it would be a buffet style, but due to the pandemic, it was a set menu with a choice of Japanese or Western. I usually prefer Japanese breakfast, but in city hotels, I enjoy the handmade feel of Western options like omelettes, so I chose the Western set. The scrambled eggs were disappointing. Overall, the breakfast was neither good nor bad, just average. As for the bread, I usually use "Okameya" bread, but I'm not sure if it was used for this Western set.

I stayed with a plan that included a breakfast buffet, the bed was comfortable, and the room was spacious so I slept soundly. The breakfast buffet is served from 7 am at the restaurant on the first floor. It seems to cost 1400 yen if you order normally. There were many dishes made with Hokkaido specialty ingredients. They were all delicious and satisfying.

It has been over 10 years since I last visited Sapporo. I am staying at Sapporo Garden Palace. It is located 427m from Odori Station and is accessible from Sapporo Station underground walkway. The breakfast buffet costs 1350 yen. The restaurant Spica serves breakfast from 7:00 to 10:00 with a wide variety of options. It is convenient for my two-night stay. The bread and rice are both delicious. The coffee after the meal was also enjoyable. The hotel also has a Chinese restaurant, Szechuan Hanten.

This time it's the "Sapporo Garden Palace". I chose this hotel because it was the closest to my business trip destination. When I checked in, they upgraded my room. I received five breakfast vouchers all at once. The restaurant on the first floor of the hotel was the breakfast venue, and I always went there before 8:30 am. Since it was a weekday, I never had to wait and could eat at the same table for five days. I prefer rice over bread, so I had rice every day without cheating on bread. The side dishes were almost the same every day (lol), but I never got tired of it and enjoyed it. It was nice to be able to drink coffee brewed with an espresso machine after the meal. Maybe I'll try the bread next time I stay. Thank you for the meal (^^)

The conference of the federation that my company belongs to was held at Hotel Sapporo Garden Palace. It was a block meeting for the Tohoku and Hokkaido regions, so participants from Tohoku and local Hokkaido residents were present. The meeting coincided with the Sapporo Snow Festival, so it was quite cold for both local Hokkaido residents and those from Tohoku. After the meeting, a reception was held. I took photos of the dishes before anyone else at the table, sorry to the others. Here is the menu: Assorted sashimi with Hokkaido scallops, squid, and tuna, Hokkaido kelp noodles and seafood cocktail, Lily root and squid with shrimp miso sauce, Salmon poulet gratin, Imomochi and shrimp with chili sauce, Shiretoko chicken with sherry vinegar flavor, Sushi with flounder and salmon roe, Baked cheesecake. It was a great opportunity to enjoy delicious food made with Hokkaido ingredients and have a pleasant conversation with everyone. There were ice sculptures outside the hotel, adding to the atmosphere. I wonder if everyone made it back safely.

I stayed in the summer. I think it was during the Obon holiday, and I found it on a travel website. The Deluxe Twin room, early check-in, late check-out, and parking fee for just one coin made it a great deal at 10,000 yen. The room was comfortable, spacious enough (26 square meters), clean, and had a somewhat old-fashioned feel. The bathroom was a bit more spacious compared to business hotels, but the amenities were basic. Breakfast was available at Spica on the first floor. During check-in, they informed me about group check-in times, which was helpful. The atmosphere inside was bright, and the food was a good mix of homemade dishes. I remember there used to be an omelette chef a few years ago, but he wasn't there this time. Maybe it's because it costs 1,260 yen. The location is a bit inconvenient (for me personally), so I'm not sure how I feel about that.

It was a gathering on the night of September 8, 2015, involving late-night snacks. It was an interesting gathering mainly consisting of young people. The seating arrangement was done by drawing lots, so I only knew about three people out of the unfamiliar faces at the round table. We started by waiting while drinking beer. The greetings began and we raised our glasses for a toast! The first dish was a platter of appetizers. Pickles, edamame, and mixed nuts. I started to feel a bit anxious... But then things started to get better from there!! The second dish was a platter of cold dishes. It was stylish and delicious ♥ Octopus carpaccio, salmon roe, and quail eggs were elegantly arranged. The tuna pinchos were tuna wrapped in prosciutto, with a cute touch of cherry tomatoes and olives skewered together. I ended up eating two extra pieces because they were so good! The cured mackerel was like a vinegared dish with bamboo shoots and lime sandwiched in between. It was so tasty!! I got carried away with drinking beer and started to feel tipsy!! Next was stir-fried chicken and seasonal vegetables. Ginkgo nuts and zucchinis were delicious. Then came the Chinese soup. I cracked a soft-boiled egg into it, and it was slightly spicy with crispy vegetables. Extremely delicious! A pizza arrived! As expected for a gathering of young people, it seemed like they focused on serving generous portions. Even though I'm not young, I also enjoyed it a lot. It was a refined and classic Margherita pizza. Next was the meat dish, lamb with herb breadcrumbs. It was delicious ♥ The finale of the meal was the best! Spicy mapo tofu with white rice! Yes! Szechuan Hanten's special dish!! Spicy and tasty (゚Д゚) delicious! For dessert, a sweet fruit dish with ice cream on top was served. Even though I usually don't eat dessert, for some reason, I was enjoying the ice cream with red wine at this point! I was delighted when the waitress kept pouring wine for me, so I kept drinking more and more. In the end, I was completely drunk... It was an incredibly enjoyable experience! After that, I went to two more places with my colleagues. Off to Susukino Zero Bancho!

Sapporo, Sapporo Station to Odori area. This hotel is located on the south side of Hokkaido Government Building at Nishi 6-chome, Kita 1-jo. It is called "Garden Palace Hotel".
