This time, I went with a drinking buddy (*'ω'*) My drinking buddy ordered the evening set, which includes one drink and two side dishes♡ First of all, I recommend trying the tamagoyaki and croquette! Everything else is also delicious though!! The mapo tofu has a nice spicy kick, but it's a gentle kind of spiciness♡ It goes well with alcohol!! I was able to go with a regular customer of the pumpkin. The counter has about 6 seats with acrylic stand. First, I ordered the evening drink set. Of course, it's beer. It's delicious. The food in the evening drink set is nikujaga (meat and potato stew) and croquette. Nikujaga has a simple taste. The croquette has a chunk of ground meat and goes well with the sauce. I'll add a beer as a single item. I recommend the mapo tofu and tamagoyaki (Japanese rolled omelette). The mapo tofu has a perfect taste right in the strike zone. The tamagoyaki is not dashimaki (rolled omelette with dashi), but slightly creamy and sweet. The miso horumon (offal) has a taste that doesn't get old. The grilled mackerel is slightly small, but the flavor is well-balanced. For drinks, I continued with sake tasting set of 3 types, 90ml each. Today's father's choice was Kido, Hououmita, and Niseiko (Ginpu). Kido was the most to my liking. It was a relaxing space. Thank you for the meal.

Recently, I hadn't been able to come, Kabocha-san ♡ The counter is also full and bustling! The inside of the store is cool with air conditioning (о´∀`о) The mothers cooking look hot, and I'm worried about their health. They have many days off, but even on their days off, they are busy preparing and cleaning, typical of clean-loving mothers, but I hope they can rest slowly! The tamagoyaki that I always order is a must! It was my first time trying Galisaba, and it was perfect for a hot day, refreshing and perfect for drinking sake ♡ I didn't plan on drinking sake, but this time the lineup was good and the food was matching, so I ended up drinking sake too (lol) It was a good deal to compare three kinds of sake! I love Hanamuro, so I'm happy ♡ The choice of the father is truly wonderful (๑•ω•๑) The salted squid goes well with sake! The shrimp and asparagus, with plenty of summer vegetables like paprika and zucchini, were too delicious ♡ The Kai mackerel was also big andー!! The price was also cheap, was it 450? The neighboring regular customer saw someone eating ramen on TV and wanted to eat noodles, so the mother brought out sesame hiyamugi ♡ It's like sarashina soba, smooth and easy to eat!! On June 30, 2023, I went to my favorite pumpkin restaurant. When I called ahead, they were fully booked, but when I arrived a little later, they were able to seat me. It tends to get crowded on Fridays and Saturdays, but it's understandable since they have limited operating days. The owner and her daughter are both very kind, and it's always a soothing experience to visit. I was happy to see new summer vegetable dishes on the menu, like the tomato salad with cottage cheese and the colorful zucchini dish. But it would be a shame if I couldn't get a table anymore (laughs) Today's recommended menu featured a new item!! Croquette, Tamagoyaki (Japanese rolled omelette), Half-boiled Mackerel, and Nimono (simmered dish). It's my usual go-to place ♡ If I don't come for two weeks, it feels like it's been a long time! The restaurant takes proper breaks, so I was wondering if they're open during Golden Week, and turns out they are closed from the 3rd. I heard they went on a trip over the weekend! I called to see if they were open, and they said they are, but it's fully booked. They told me to call back when there's an opening, which made me so happy ♡ The mackerel was so fatty and delicious!! I was happy to eat Tamagoyaki because they don't sell eggs. The Nimono was also flavorful and tasty. Everything is delicious and affordable!! If you order a fish dish, one side dish, and rice, it becomes a set meal♡ It's cheap and healthy for those dining alone, making you want to come here every day! The kind motherly figure who greets you is also very welcoming (´ω｀*) I couldn't resist ordering the vegetable tempura I had last time, it was delicious! The asparagus was incredibly tasty!! I've been coming here every week recently. The food is delicious, cheap, and relaxing. I feel like saying "I'm home" when I come in (´ω｀*) It's so cheap that I almost want them to raise the prices! I love dropping by after work♡ My friends also love this place, so we come here every week (´ω｀) I always think I want to drink sake, but I keep forgetting, so I definitely want to drink it next time!! The sake tasting set seems like a good deal♡ There are many locals and regulars, making it a cozy and relaxing atmosphere! It's not noisy, just a pleasant and laid-back time. It's fun to get recommendations for nearby restaurants from the staff♡ I got hooked on the Yudofu I ordered before! It's hard to come on Wednesdays and Thursdays because they are closed, but they are open until 10:00 pm so I have managed to come a few times even when I finish work late. This time, I came with a friend. They ordered the evening set, and I will have shochu ♡ We also ordered some other dishes to share! It's hard to order many dishes when dining alone, but with multiple people, we can order a variety of dishes, which is nice (˘ω˘) I've tried most of the menu items, and I keep coming back because I know they are delicious ♡ The tamagoyaki is a must-order! It has a sweet taste with a rich dashi flavor, just like a mother's cooking. The asparagus is always delicious!! The butter soy sauce is irresistible ♡ The grilled hokke is crispy even down to the bones, and at the end, there was nothing left on the plate (๑´ㅂ`๑) Everything is delicious and affordable!! It was snowing heavily, so I thought it might be empty, but it was quite crowded with regular customers. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was lively with neighborhood conversations flowing. It seems that many locals frequent this place. I brought a friend from Tokyo, and they were very pleased. The oden that I always order has a deep flavor that warms the heart. The daikon radish is soft and has a gentle taste. The Hokke fish is thick and fatty, perfect with alcohol. We also received complimentary pickles and ozoni soup. Each household has a different way of making ozoni soup, right? In my house, we use chicken, shiitake mushrooms, green onions, fish cakes, and dried seaweed. The pumpkin version at this restaurant was also delicious. Looking forward to another great year! Thank you for the delicious meal♡

It's been a while since I visited Kabocha-san. When I arrived, they greeted me with "It's been a while," and I was touched that they remembered my face! They mentioned that the last day of the year would be the 27th, and they will be closed from the 6th to the 12th. They will be serving ozoni during that time, so I must come back! Every time I visit, I feel warm and cozy with the food, the people, and the atmosphere. This time, I went with my sister. We had ordered a lot of food, and even though we were enjoying soft drinks as we drove, we were surprised when we saw the bill! It was so cheap that I had to double-check if there was a mistake! There were individual menu items with prices listed, as well as menu items for evening drinks without prices, so I thought it might be more expensive, but it was actually cheaper than expected. My sister was also very satisfied! Every dish was delicious. The flavors and love put into the food by the mother are evident in every bite. The tamagoyaki was sweet and fluffy, and my sister loved it so much that she had seconds. They even added an extra chicken wing as a bonus, which made us very happy. I finally made it here even though the timing didn't quite work out! It's Friday, so the counter is full, but I managed to get a table in the back by myself. There's a TV right in front of me, so it feels like I'm at home (laughs). The restaurant's hours on Tabelog say until 10pm, but Google says until 8pm, so I wasn't sure if they only open early, but it seems they're open until 10pm! They're only open 4 days a week, so I thought I wouldn't be able to come often, but if they're open until 10pm, I can come more often. The dishes are cheap and in small portions, which is great for dining alone. Today's menu had all my favorite dishes! It's my first time having grilled saury this year, and the oden is perfect for the cold weather. The vinegared dish is just right for drinking. The oden is flavorful and filled with ingredients, so I'm full. I'll enjoy my evening drink with Kanmiya mixed with water (･ᴗ･) Thank you as always for the meal. It's tucked away in a corner and exudes an atmosphere that makes you want to stop by for a drink every day. The interior is lively with regular customers at the counter, giving off a cozy vibe as I took a seat. I ordered the Evening Set for 1000 yen, which includes 2 side dishes and a drink, as well as a Lime Sour for 320 yen. The variety of side dishes is amazing, I wanted to try them all! My choices were Mapo Tofu, Croquette, and Beer. The amount of side dishes was quite generous, and these two items were more than enough. The Mapo Tofu tasted just like my mom's homemade Mapo Tofu, perfect for an evening drink. And the Croquette, with minced meat inside, brought tears of nostalgia with every bite. The taste reminded me of the Croquettes my mother used to make. When I asked the owner, they said the recipe is the same as their mother's. It's the taste of homemade Croquettes from a Showa era household. After leaving the restaurant, I cried on my way back to the station. Thank you for this amazing taste, it brought me back to my childhood. The Kabocha (pumpkin) dish was also lovely, with a side of simmered pumpkin. I want to visit this place again without planning. This was my third time here! It's cheap, close by, and opens at 5 pm, so it's easy to stop by (laughs). On this day, I achieved my goal for this year of 'putting in my own bottle'!!!! To put in a bottle, the place needs to be one you want to come back to multiple times, and I thought it was difficult to find a regular spot, but I found one ♡ The price of the bottle is reasonable and it's more cost-effective than ordering individual drinks! There is an additional charge for mixers other than water, but it's still affordable ♡ It's also fun to chat with the locals about this and that. The ham cutlet is a thin type, but it's crispy and delicious!! The omelette was made by the owner's daughter, and it was fluffy and super tasty ♡ I will come back again. Thank you for the meal ♡

The cafe tour that started from Gakuen-mae Station began with "Banjo Kabocha" and ended up completely deviating from a cafe tour, which is wonderful. The recent rise in popularity of Galagara, a shop that I have been interested in from Myrebi's review, was a very homely shop run by a family. The shop had a pleasant aroma and a cozy atmosphere with a counter seating for 7-8 people, 2 raised tables, and a couple sitting at the corner of the counter. I ordered the "Banjo Set @1,000" which includes one drink and a choice of two side dishes. I chose two beers as drinks and "Nikujaga," "Mapo Tofu," "Grilled Chicken," and "Dried Daikon" as side dishes. The side dishes were all well-balanced in flavor and not overly assertive. They were like dishes made by a grandmother, comforting and delicious. The flavors were not too sweet or spicy, and the subtle taste allowed even those who don't like mild flavors to enjoy the dishes. I may have written too much about the side dishes, making it hard to understand, but I highly recommend trying them at least once. The cozy atmosphere makes you want to stay longer, but I had other plans and left after a few dozen minutes. If my house were closer, I would probably visit this high-quality shop 2-3 times a week. It's an izakaya in Kikusuizu that opened about a year ago, run by a parent and child. The must-order item is the great value evening set! This day was a neighborhood drinking party, and after seeing a post by "piitampiitan" on Tabelog, I found out it was nearby. It's close, cheap, and delicious! I love the cozy and homey atmosphere, so I went three times between the 23rd and 29th (lol). It's located between Kikusuizu Station and Route 36, about an 8-minute walk from the station. Next to it is the cheap ramen shop Aobaen! There are 7 counter seats, each with partitions for infection prevention. There are also two table seats at the back where you take off your shoes. The family decided to start a restaurant themselves when they were considering renting out the property they owned. The mother, who had worked for a cosmetics company, had zero experience in the food and beverage industry. The kitchen is run by the mother and two daughters! When it gets busy, it's the turn of the father, who also serves as a customer and hall staff (lol). It's heartwarming to see the family enjoying their business together. When you visit, be sure to order the evening set! You can choose two daily changing side dishes from the board, and the portion is satisfying enough. On this day, we ordered the following for three people: potato salad, fried natto, chikuwa isobeage, zangi, and gyoza x2. You can share a variety of dishes and fill your stomach. Especially the gyoza is a favorite! It's juicy and full of flavor when you bite into it. The raw lamb loin is thick and delicious without any gamey taste.
