So, I decided to visit Udon Hana, a place that had caught my interest before but I found it hard to enter. I went with a friend, and we arrived around 9:00 PM. There were two customers in front of us, who seemed like regulars. The entrance had a counter with two seats, where the two regulars were seated. The rest of the seating was at a raised area with large tables that could accommodate about 8 people. It had a cozy, homely feel to it. We ordered: - Hana Udon (850 yen) The food was served in about 10 minutes. The udon was chewy, and the broth was quite sweet. It had crab, shrimp, chicken, fish cake, two slices of ginkgo nuts, and sesame seeds as toppings. The crab was not imitation crab, but real crab meat. It was quite delicious and had a flavor that I liked. The atmosphere felt more like a drinking establishment than an udon shop. If there were other customers, it might have felt like being at a relative's house, eating udon with strangers. So, I think it might be better to visit during the day rather than at night. The place is run by a relaxed older lady, so it's best to visit when you can also relax and take your time. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.
