onikuma
2011/03 Revisited
Recently renovated, the shop looks much cleaner now. It's conveniently located in front of the parking entrance of the Joint Government Building. I went a bit late, so there were only a few onigiri left in the case, and I couldn't get a freshly made one. I ended up purchasing what was available: Cheese Okaka - with chunks of cheese, which may not be to everyone's taste. Salmon Shoyu - not salted, but with soy sauce. The salmon inside is flaked. Yukari - refreshing. If you like shiso, this is recommended. Nanban Miso - incredibly spicy, so be careful! It will make your tongue tingle. The bento sets are affordable, making it easy to buy. Recommended for a lunch on the go. The shop is located at the entrance of the Joint Government Building's parking lot. You can park one car right in front of it. The shop is not very spacious; it's a takeout place. They offer a variety of onigiri, including the classic salmon, tarako (140 yen), umeboshi, okaka (130 yen), as well as original onigiri like Cheese Okaka, Nanban Miso, Aojiso, and Sakura (around 150 yen). They also have surimi, mentaiko, kombu, tuna soy sauce, and more. They also offer side dishes, such as a 150 yen pack with two tamagoyaki and two pieces of karaage, or a 300 yen pack with various items. It's slightly more expensive than convenience stores, but it's freshly made and delicious. If they don't have what you want, they can make it for you. The onigiri is substantial, with delicious rice and a fluffy texture. A branch has recently opened in Mihara.
