先ずは麺
I enjoyed delicious soba noodles at a well-known shop, where a local soba restaurant expanded its business. It's quite an unexpected development within the Aeon group, as far as I know. I think Onekyu Soba has a unique style in various locations in Tomakomai, each with its own flavor. The square-shaped noodles with a firm texture, which I consider to be the essence of soba, are served at all Onekyu Soba locations, which is commendable. Soba is all about the noodles. When it comes to ramen, it's also about the noodles. So, when the dish is served in front of you, what do you do first? [Eat the noodles with chopsticks.] That's the natural thing for me to do. I may not like it, but when I see someone using a spoon to drink the broth first, I can't understand their behavior. It's a natural instinct for creatures with some level of intelligence to not understand actions that they themselves do not perform. Regardless of the task at hand, each individual has their own way of doing things, which is an undeniable fact. As a species with a certain level of intelligence, humans tend to want to establish rules and norms. Even when it comes to how to eat ramen, each person has their own preferences and reasons for their actions. So, it's okay to eat the way you like, but I can't help feeling uncomfortable with actions that I don't do myself. Let's analyze the influence of humans in this context. I wonder if this kind of sentiment is common: "I eat ramen by slurping the noodles first, so the performance of drinking the broth with a spoon is a priority." I can see a thought bubble with this kind of statement floating above someone's head. As of now (July 6, 2019, 08:03), as a late bloomer who loves anime, I feel ashamed of myself for avoiding the anime "Golden Kamuy," which depicts interactions with the Ainu people, who have been in Hokkaido since ancient times. Looking back, while living in the area, I was not given much information, and the little I learned during moral education classes... the prevailing attitude of the "civilized" people towards the indigenous inhabitants, who were historically subjected to heinous acts, was probably due to controlled information, where everyone gets along and the majority mistreats the minority. Such things are common historically.
