I had some business in Kushiro and stayed at Hotel Pako. While lying on the hotel bed, I searched for nearby izakayas. Among a few hits, I was intrigued by the menu items "Blowfish sashimi" and "Deep-fried garlic" at Time restaurant, so I decided to visit. The interior of the restaurant had a counter seat right at the entrance and a raised seating area to the left. The owner directed me to the counter seat on the left. I ordered a draft beer, blowfish sashimi, and blowfish liver grill. There was a sign on the wall saying "Our blowfish is not frozen..." The draft beer arrived quickly. The blowfish sashimi looked off, the edges were dried and discolored. The taste was not great either. The blowfish liver grill had a sweet and salty sauce. Is it really fresh? There was a bitterness to it as well. The eel kabayaki was thick and tough. It was a struggle to cut it with chopsticks. I hate to say it, but it seemed like it was from China. It was a disappointing dinner. Goodbye forever.

This is Kushiro~ In Kushiro, it's rare to find yakiniku or izakaya, let alone robatayaki. But this place has brought a taste of Kanto to Kushiro and now it's popular! The owner also has a successful restaurant in Karuizawa, leaving that to others while they work hard at this place in Kushiro. The menu is from Kanto, which I like! Hokkaido has limited fish varieties, so every restaurant recommends the same ones, especially in Eastern Hokkaido. It gets boring!! What's great about this place is that it never gets boring! When it comes to food and service, there's nothing to complain about, in a good way! However, the pork bowl was not good! It was the worst pork bowl I've ever had! That's all! The other dishes are average. Among izakayas in Kushiro, it's one of the best, but I rate it 3.0. That's my experience in Kushiro! But it's a fact that this place is entertaining in Kushiro! So, I will visit again!

I have visited quite a few restaurants in the bustling area of Kushiro! But I avoided leaving reviews because I didn't want to be recognized! Honestly, I didn't find any particular restaurant that I thought was delicious! Apparently, the main branch of this restaurant is located in the Kanto region, and the owner is running the branch in Kushiro. They seem to source their main ingredients from Tsukiji Market just like the main branch! As for the service, the owner has a subtle attentiveness and a friendly smile, while the staff members, though making mistakes, seem to have a supportive atmosphere from the owner. Now, onto the food - the taste, quality of ingredients, and uniqueness are unmatched in Kushiro! Actually, besides this restaurant, there are no other places like this in Kushiro! The most memorable dish was the blowfish sashimi, which you can't find at this level in Kushiro. The sake pairing was also well done, and the staff understood our preferences. In fact, there are many places in Kushiro where you would be surprised by the orders you make! After eating and drinking moderately, the bill came to 22,000 yen for one man and two women. While dining out in Kushiro may feel a bit expensive, I would rather pay 15,000 yen at a forgettable place than miss out on this restaurant! I can't skimp on spending 2,000 yen for the luxury of dining out alone! In the bustling area of Kushiro, Suenocho and Sakae-machi, this restaurant is highly recommended! By the way, if I were to rate the restaurants I visited in this area, the highest score would be 2.5. And just to note, the yakitori restaurant Torimasa is not included in this rating, but I wouldn't give it a 3.0! In Kushiro, it's not about the food being delicious, it's about enjoying the atmosphere while drinking! (laughs)

After finishing the winter break, the restaurant reopened on June 3rd and has been operating year-round since 2013. I visited for the second time this month and have gotten quite familiar with the menu, which includes sashimi, fugu, and okonomiyaki. There is a wide variety of options available. One thing to note is that if you order a dish with cheese, it won't come with mayonnaise. So, for all the mayo lovers out there, make sure to order without cheese! Last year, I visited with a friend and enjoyed a variety of dishes such as sashimi, fried foods, okonomiyaki, and yakisoba. Everything was delicious, but one dish that stood out was the cheesy tamagoyaki. It was piping hot on the teppan grill, with the cheese melting beautifully. I ended up eating a lot and drinking plenty of alcohol, so I don't remember what else we ordered. Next time, I'll make sure to remember the menu items better and provide a more detailed report. Stay tuned for my next update!

Sashimi and grilled fish are delicious, of course, but in addition to Kushiro's flavors, the master has also opened shops in Osaka, Karuizawa, and Yoron Island, so you can enjoy the delicious local cuisine from each area. From sliced raw fish to okonomiyaki and horse sashimi! A highly recommended dish is the "Karuizawa-style okonomiyaki" with gooey cheese inside! The company executives engage in lively conversations with the master at the counter, while colleagues in the private rooms enjoy talking about work. It's a bit like a hidden gem for adults where even those who have relocated to Kushiro can enjoy themselves.
