A shop located in the basement of the Asahikawa Station building. They offer a "senbero set" for lunch drinking, where you can choose two drinks and three snacks for 1,100 yen including tax. The shop opens at noon and by 12:10, there were already customers inside. I ordered the senbero set and started with a draft beer. The snacks included kimchi tofu, edamame, and boiled egg, served on a long plate. The second drink was hot sake, specifically the brand Hakutsuru Extra Dry. When I wanted to order more snacks, there was no menu, but the master was able to suggest options. Feeling a bit hungry, I also ordered yakisoba for 600 yen, which was tasty with plenty of ingredients like pork, cabbage, bean sprouts, and carrots. Overall, it's a casual place to enjoy lunchtime drinks!

I had made plans to meet near the station for a quick drink, but I arrived early and decided to have a quick drink by myself. I headed towards a place where I could drink from noon and was greeted by a cute girl who was trying to attract customers from behind the glass inside the store. She beckoned me to come in, and once I entered, I found the place to be quite lively. I was guided to a table in the back, while the front tables seemed to be like a playground for children. I ordered the "Senbero Set" for 1100 yen, which included two drinks and three snacks. The waitress, who seemed to be a mother of the children, was very cute. I started with a beer, which was reasonably priced at 450 yen per glass. The snacks for the day were simmered dish, chilled tofu with kimchi, and grilled fish (hokke). It was just right for a light drink before the first round. For my second drink, I had a lemon sour. As I looked around after finishing up, my eyes caught a wall graffiti with a pink noticeable illustration. Since it had a ponytail, I assumed it was a woman? There was something written on the crotch area, and below it... Oh! Did a boy get born?

This is a izakaya located in the basement of the deep Asahikawa Station building. The "senbero set" is popular here. They open from noon, and I visited around 12:30. There were two customers already there, and more came in afterwards. The "senbero set" is popular, so many people come here during the day seeking it. The set includes two drinks and three snacks for 1,100 yen including tax. I ordered the set and got a draft beer as my first drink. The three snacks were served on a long plate: "spicy cucumber," "cold tofu with mountain wasabi," and "grilled squid." The content was pretty standard, but the spicy cucumber was good as a drinking snack, and the cold tofu had mountain wasabi instead of ginger, which was nice. For my second drink, I had a hot sake, which was White Crane extra dry. Feeling good, I decided to order more drinks and snacks: a Black Nikka highball for 400 yen and bacon and eggs for 300 yen. The bacon and eggs were nothing special, but the yolk was still runny and delicious. Even with ordering more drinks and snacks, the prices were reasonable, making it a good place for a quick drink!

Welcome.---------- August 2021 ----------Aeon Asahikawa directly in front of Asahikawa Station, underground dining area in front of the station building |o| °д°)ノAs soon as I entered Gachako, there was a frantic older woman and her daughter (both fully engrossed in the game) and it was quite soothing to watch...There was a "Senbero Set" at the entrance, so first I ordered that - "2 drinks + 3 dishes = Natsume-san" The "Remo Sawah" was Kirizuki + carbonated Kiya... (= ´∀´)ノ The 3 dishes were "Sashimi Konnyaku, Cold Tofu, Nikujaga" - the Nikujaga had a homely taste, it seems to be connected to the restaurant next door. I couldn't find a menu for the food... maybe it's on the table next to me, where there seems to be a variety of dishes available, and they are quite affordable too. With tax included, it came to 2200 yen.

It's "Star Tanjou" with Hiroshi Itsuki, right? Well, that's the wrong show... It's a man, so how about Yamaguchi Momoe? No, that's impossible... I could tolerate Shimakura Chiyoko though. Oh well, "Ooi Niko Niko-kun" is alone in Asahikawa today. Today is a day-drinking starting from 1 p.m. So, "Ooi Niko Niko-kun," what a embarrassing name for a restaurant, isn't it? I don't have the confidence to find it on my own, and it's too much trouble to locate it, so I'm looking for someone to go with me. But there's no one, right? There is someone. So, I went with them and it wasn't a big deal. I've been here many times so I know this place. It's in the deep basement of a building in front of the station. Is this "Ooi Niko Niko-kun"? This is it, right? There were reserved seats in the back. I ordered a beer to cheers. It's a dining hall, right? I ordered a beer, so I went to the bathroom several times. At this time, in this building, there are more people singing during the day than people drinking like us. The appetizer was macaroni salad. It's just a normal macaroni salad... I didn't even eat it. I ordered something called "Dengaku" and spicy chicken... Is it "Chikichikibon"? I also ordered "Tonkatsu" because there was an old man from Teine. "Harumaki" or belly wrap? We went to the restaurant with five new stars. We were so in love with the stars that we hadn't laughed this much in a while. It gave us a new lease on life...

It's Asahikawa. The station building on Miyashita Street. The underground area is filled with friendly and deep shops. A mysterious zone where you can hear singing voices from all over, starting from noon. During my time in Asahikawa, I often visited the cafes and restaurants in this underground area, so it brings back a lot of nostalgia. Starting at 1 pm, the first place for daytime drinking in Asahikawa is definitely here! "Ooi Niko Niko-kun" is a shop that feels like a father figure (^_^*) Cheers! The father figure prefers highballs (^_^) Looking at the menu, everything is very affordable. The appetizer is macaroni salad! Perfect for mayonnaise lovers. Mayonnaise oil helps the food go down smoothly, right? At home, we used to add canned mandarin oranges, persimmons, or crab meat to this. The spicy chicken has a satisfying flavor! I want to make it even stickier and eat it. The tonkatsu cheese makes you crave rice. It's perfect for a regular lunch. It was a very nice and calming place. Thank you for the meal.

Day drinking...what a nice sound, isn't it? ( *´艸`) Am I the only one who thinks so? (laughs) Starting with the first stop of bar hopping...I made a reservation for a place where you can drink from around 12 pm. But when I arrived, they guided me to a different restaurant (^^;) So, we moved to another place on the same floor where you can casually drink both during the day and at night. They have the same menu for both times. - Green tea cup (400 yen) Did you notice? It's not a green tea highball, but a green tea cup (laughs). Maybe it's better than a green tea lung? The content is probably a green tea highball. - Spicy chicken (500 yen) It's a bit spicy for this type of dish, spicy chicken bone. Now...where should we go next? Should we try going to the restaurant I mistakenly almost entered earlier? (laughs)

Day-drinking bar hopping expedition in Asahikawa (° ꈊ °)✧˖° Riding the JR for an hour and a half, got a reserved seat for 2630 yen one way with the "Tokuda Value" on Ekinet. Asahikawa is surprisingly close, isn't it? First stop was in a Showa-era building near the JR station, giving off a vibe similar to Sapporo's bus center area. I really like this kind of atmosphere! ( *´艸) A recommended day-drinking spot open from noon with charming red lanterns. The interior is simple and matches the building's vibe perfectly. I had a beer ( ゚Д゚)ノ They served a macaroni salad with lots of mayonnaise as a starter for 200 yen. The food was simple and you could choose what you wanted to eat individually. The menu was basic, giving off a homely, personal touch. The taste was decent, just as expected, and that's what I liked about it. (*´∀`) Thanks for the meal! (^ω^)

We started our day trip in Asahikawa in 2019 with a visit to a deep underground drinking alley. The organizer had made a reservation at a cozy little eatery called "Nikoniko-kun." We started with a toast of beer and some snacks. We tried the crispy tonkatsu with cheese, which was delicious, and the simple yet tasty tofu dengaku. We ordered a few more dishes, and the light eaters in the group left the rest for the hearty eaters to finish off. The teamwork was impressive! The owner of the restaurant was reading a horse racing newspaper. Overall, it was a great experience. On to the next stop!

I confess. I have never done day drinking before. Oh, of course I have drunk during the day before, like at home on days off or at a yakiniku restaurant. But this is my first time drinking at a bar. Despite it being my first time, I boldly decided to join this tour. I will quietly and respectfully enjoy myself without causing any trouble. This time, we started at a place that was already reserved for us. It was a cheap and cozy bar located in the basement of a building near the station. Cheers! Ah, it tastes so good! I am enjoying my beer! The guilt turns into pleasure as I drink more. I choose spicy dishes from the menu. We had delicious dishes like spicy chicken tofu, tonkatsu with cheese, ham and cheese spring rolls, and macaroni salad as appetizers. I drank three beers and enjoyed some snacks. Everyone is so kind and accommodating to the newcomer. This tour is becoming more and more fun! Alright, let's move on to the next place!

Keep Smiling♪ Just kidding (≧▽≦) I came here wanting to smile, at the basement of a building near the station. It seems you can drink from noon, and they also have set meals. This is Weekend Lunch #064. It was a little after 1 PM when I entered, and even though there were no customers, the owner welcomed me. I tried to order ramen and something with rice, but they said the rice wasn't cooked yet (lol). Since the rice wasn't ready, they couldn't make onigiri, fried rice, or shrimp bowl, but all noodle dishes were okay. They even said they could make izakaya dishes. So, I ordered the spicy chicken. It arrived quite quickly. The miso ramen was delicious and had more noodles than it looked = great value for money. On the other hand, the spicy chicken was definitely more like an izakaya dish. It's a shame I can't have it with beer since I have work in the afternoon, but not being able to have rice is disappointing. I wonder how dinner is without rice during lunchtime. Despite my worries, the owner was busy making a lot of tamagoyaki. It's what they call preparation. I had to resist the urge to ask for just a bite from the edge (bitter smile). The recommended dish here is the simmered pork intestines. We're having a hard time deciding which noodle dish to pair it with.
