Welcome.---------- August 2020----------Located at South 4 West 3, next to Sushizanmai along R36, in the basement of New Kitahoshi Building |o| °д°)ノ Hello. This is one of the APR series with about 20 branches in Susukino (such as Ezo-ya, Tsukiyo no Tanuki). The opening hours are irregular, with weekdays from 5 pm, Saturdays from 3 pm, Sundays from 12 pm, and unclear on public holidays, so there are days when you can have a daytime drink. I went with a customer. There are a few seats at the counter, and the rest are almost private rooms with sunken kotatsu-style tables, but we sat on slightly higher chairs. The aged space exudes a Showa-era atmosphere and is very comfortable. There is a super wonderful service provided by the female owner (wearing a kimono), who is also the manager of "Hokuno Umitebako Fuu." The weekend-only tipsy course costs 3000 yen, and it includes all-you-can-drink with 48 types of sake. We were impressed by the skillful persuasion from the start and ended up having a sake festival with selections like "Bakuren," "AKABU," "Nabeshima 2 types," "Hokuto Zuiso," "Kuro Ryu," and "Juyondai." Looking back, we drank too much, but "Juyondai" for the finish was the best choice. The course consisted of a platter with 5 types of sashimi (sweet shrimp, salmon, tuna, squid, enagawa), a small dish of shrimp and mushroom matsunozuke, and the main course transitioned from fish to meat with rare Minke whale ginger steak and skewers of skin and thigh with a strong salt flavor. The meal also included Hokkaido egg omelet, edamame, and zangi. Just when we were ready to finish, we were served with "Hiyajiru" and pickles, followed by a Yamagata dashi tea rice with momiji oroshi as a nice accent. The pickles included pickled radish, eggplant, and takuan. We kept drinking and nibbling throughout, but ended up sticking to the female owner's "48. Secret Sake" the whole time, which never disappoints. It might be better than choosing yourself. It's not on the menu, so it must be good for sure.
