何が好きって・・
Just a little down from JR Otaru Station, on Central Street and a little into First Avenue. I decided to visit a charming sushi restaurant. As I opened the door, I saw freshly baked thick rolled omelettes wrapped in a large curtain. Behind the counter with 7 seats, a smiling couple, carrying a "travel pass" from their travels around the country, were standing at the cutting board. The menu had three options: raw at ¥1,600, medium at ¥1,900, and special at ¥2,400. "We have 5 reservations at 1 pm, so until then it's fine! The clock is 10 minutes fast, haha," they warmly said. "If you're in no rush, you can sit at the end of the counter." Such a gentle landlady. Yesterday was their first day in business. I requested the following sushi, hoping for heartwarming flavors: Tsubugai, Hirame, Hokkigai, Shime-saba, Botan-ebi, Tako, Hotate, and Kanpyo-maki. The Tsubugai and Hotate shared were delicious in the slightly fragrant and gentle vinegar rice. The landlady's lively conversation and the husband's sushi-making skills were truly delightful. When in Otaru, I would love to visit this sushi restaurant again. I look forward to enjoying their seasonal offerings. Lastly, on the back of the chopstick wrapper, it said, "We may not provide fancy services, but we are doing our best to make our customers happy." My heart was warmed by the comforting and delicious sushi at a reasonable price. I am truly grateful for the excellent service. It was delicious! Thank you very much! Please take care of yourselves, both the husband and the landlady. I will visit again.
