"I imagined that 'long-haired women look good on the northern bar street♪' and, as expected, the song 'Hokkaido Sake Bar' by Takashi Hosokawa was not playing. Instead, the TV was on. I try the nigiri sushi. Since I'm working and driving, I have to settle for oolong tea as my drink. The bill, including the drink, came to 1700 yen, which is reasonable. The uni and abalone were delicious, and the tuna seemed to be high-quality. The rice was a bit softer than standard, with a slightly mushy texture, making me think it might be pre-prepared rice balls. I wished for more umami flavor from the rice, but the height of the rice reminded me of Kozushi. The wasabi had a good kick to it. I felt that the rice and the toppings had a mutual influence on each other's flavors. The nigiri included akami, sweet shrimp, scallop, yellowtail, salmon, ikura, uni, abalone, and tekka maki. Although I won't mention each piece individually, those who are curious should definitely come and try it. It's quite rare to find a small izakaya that serves nigiri sushi, making this place unique.
