I always want to drink only delicious and good sake! I carefully choose and buy sake so as not to make a mistake. One of the best sake I bought at Wine Food Watarai in 2018 was Oze no Yukidoke Junmai Daiginjo Hiyaroshi. I like sake with a rich aroma, and this one has a fragrance that reminds me of fruits like pineapple. It has a soft mouthfeel and is easy to drink. It is a fragrant sake with a sweet taste and umami. It has a slight soft acidity and a refreshing finish. It's delicious, easy to drink, and you could easily gulp it down, but it's a sake that you want to savor and enjoy. I want to buy and drink this sake again next year.

Newly discovered sake shop, "Watarai" in Nishimachi, with a few parking spaces in front of the store, giving off a good vibe even before entering. The staff, a middle-aged woman, adds to the charm with her unique greetings. The store is filled with a variety of sake, and I can't help but feel excited about what they have to offer. After browsing through the room-temperature shelves, I head towards the main refrigerated case and find the "Hakuro Suishu" and the "Junmai Ginjo Miyama." The label on the latter mentions "Miyama," which I assume is related to "Miyama Nishiki." I love the white label design and it's been years since I last saw it, so I immediately decide to purchase it. As I wonder if there's anything else I'd like to buy, I feel a cold stare from behind and realize it's my wife, who I had forgotten was with me. Despite her silent disapproval, I continue browsing. As a cautious person, I secretly add another bottle of sake to my purchase before heading to the checkout counter. I end up buying the following two items: "Hakuro Suishu" and "Junmai Ginjo Miyama" from Yamagata Prefecture, and "Junmai Ginjo" from Tochigi Prefecture. The Miyama sake has a light and smooth taste, different from what I had imagined, while the Junmai Ginjo from Tochigi impresses me with its mild acidity and sweetness, making it easy to drink. I decide to buy a larger bottle of it next time. I also find a few more varieties that I want to try, so I plan to visit the shop again in the future.
