Grass Fuji seems like a gravure idol. I entered the store with strange fantasies. After checking in on the 2nd floor, I was told the venue was on the 4th floor. We took the elevator to get there. The establishment operates with completely private rooms. The all-you-can-drink starts with beer, with a choice between Black Label and Classic. We toasted with the Classic. First, we each got a plate of assorted sashimi. It was quite good. Next, we had a large plate of Anago-yaki with sauce. The presentation was questionable but the flavor was good. Then came the Zangi, hot and crispy. A somewhat disappointing pizza with curry flavor. Each person got a regular soba dish. For dessert, we had almond jelly. All this in just 1 hour. The food was served quickly, but the drink service was lacking. Despite hearing good things about Grand Izakaya Fuji, I wasn't as impressed as I had hoped. Perhaps it was because we chose a cheaper course?

Great cost performance. This is a must-visit restaurant where you need to make a reservation. I visited on a Friday night. When you make a reservation, your name will be displayed on the signboard. It's a nice touch. Here, you can enjoy Perfect Classic and Perfect Black Label. Amazing! Kaki fried chicken, potato sashimi platter, ankake yakisoba, tamagoyaki - everything I ate was really delicious. I will definitely come back again.

It was a reunion party for alumni from my previous company. It had been a long time since we had gathered for a banquet. The banquet dishes were nostalgic, with a variety of appetizers, sashimi, including abalone, oyster gratin, roast pork, grilled skewers, sushi, and a mix of Japanese and Western cuisine. With all-you-can-drink and eat, we were busy eating, drinking, chatting, and placing orders. Time flew by in a fun atmosphere. Thank you to the organizer and the staff at the restaurant.

This izakaya has over 50 years of history, and all the dishes are delicious. My recommendation is the assorted sashimi with medium fatty tuna and the crab porridge for the finale. The rice in the porridge was perfect to finish off the meal! Sapporo Classic beer goes really well with the food and makes it hard to stop drinking.

The other day, I was slightly hungry so I visited this restaurant. It wasn't too crowded on a weekday so we were able to get in easily. We ordered zangi and yakitori, which were both good and cheap. It's a nice place for guys to grab a quick bite or drink. I was satisfied.

Traveling in Hokkaido. A night in Susukino. Feeling good after having a drink at a Genghis Khan restaurant. However, not staying for more than an hour at the Genghis Khan restaurant, of course, we move on to the second place. This restaurant located in the bustling area of Susukino was previously featured on TV. It is a well-known izakaya that has been around in Susukino for a long time, and they say that there is no one in Sapporo who doesn't know this place. I was curious and had it on my list to visit. The restaurant is quite large. It seems like the entire building is used for the restaurant. The entrance to the restaurant appears to be on the second floor, and you go up the stairs to the second floor. Upon entering, you realize that the interior is quite spacious. It seems like the second floor has only table seats. Despite being alone, I was seated at a table. Looking at the menu, I noticed they offered a 90-minute all-you-can-drink menu. When I asked the waitress, she said even for one person it was available, and it cost 1400 yen, so I opted for the all-you-can-drink option. The waitress mentioned, "Edamame comes as a complimentary dish, so you might not need to order it," and then the rest of the ordering was done through a touch panel. For snacks, I ordered Zangi and grilled tsubugai, which are typical of Hokkaido. I also ordered a draft beer, and a complimentary dish was served. As the waitress had warned, it was edamame. I sipped my beer while waiting. The grilled tsubugai arrived first. Tsubugai grilled in its shell. There was a flame. I don't mind this kind of presentation. The tsubugai, minced inside the shell, had a broth in it, making it more like a soup dish than a grilled one. The refined broth mixed with the sea aroma of the tsubugai. The tsubugai with a good texture also had a delicious umami flavor. The flavor intensifies as it is cooked. It's perfect for sipping while drinking. Next came the Zangi. Five pieces of a decent size, freshly fried and hot. The chicken was juicy, and the seasoning wasn't too strong, making it easy to eat. The menu ranged from sashimi to grilled dishes, fried foods, and was quite extensive. The taste was consistently delicious, and the prices were reasonable. While it didn't feel particularly special, it was a convenient restaurant, which is probably why locals gather there. A famous izakaya in Susukino. It's a place that even people from outside the area should experience at least once.

The other day, I visited this restaurant for the first time with a friend. The interior was quite spacious, so we were seated right away without having to wait. To be honest, I didn't have high expectations, but we ordered sashimi and some dishes to go with our drinks. They were brought to us shortly after. The sashimi was surprisingly delicious. The prices were also reasonable. Overall, it's a good restaurant.

Arrived a little after 6:30 pm on Friday. Reservation for 2 people at 7 pm. Even though we arrived early, we were seated right away. This izakaya is well-known to Sapporo locals through radio and street commercials. I didn't know they had a branch in Tomakomai too. When I asked my friend, who was returning home after a few years, what he wanted to eat, he said "Harasuto and Jaga Butter". Quite a specific request! (laughs) I found a place on Tabelog that had both menu items and offered all-you-can-drink for a single item, and it turned out to be this place! It had been over 10 years since I last visited. All-you-can-drink was 1400 yen for 90 minutes, with last order 15 minutes before. A food order was necessary with at least 1 item. The otoshi (330 yen) was edamame. Orders were made through a tablet. The food we ordered included: Today's seafood sashimi 5-piece assortment (1980 yen) with tuna, salmon, sweet shrimp, octopus, and scallops. Pretty standard. Came out quickly. Shell-on oysters (290 yen) x 21 pieces for the price. I had steamed, my friend had raw. Haven't seen such large oysters in a while! Naturally delicious! Grilled Jaga Butter with salted fish roe (440 yen), friend's request #1. The combination with salted fish roe was a long time coming but still good! Grilled salmon belly (860 yen), friend's request #2. 3 pieces with lots of fat!! Zangi (650 yen) with 5 large pieces, crispy outside and juicy inside, but the meat had a slight smell. Lightly seasoned. Stamina Ramen Salad (680 yen) because it's Sapporo, they said. Had it after a long time, the ground meat and sesame dressing were a good match. Camembert-filled fried potato mochi (490 yen) with plenty of cheese, not too heavy even as a finish! It was satisfyingly delicious. Truly a traditional casual izakaya. The bill was around 4500 yen per person. Ate quite a bit so I guess it's reasonable? Will come again!

Since Xmas, when I looked at the photos from the last time I visited #Grand Izakaya Fujimae, I realized I ate almost the same things lol. #Shime Saba had a lot of fat on it. #Zangi is a must-have. #Ramen salad, abbreviated as #Rasara. #Perfect classic.

On this day, which was a holiday, I went to Susukino in the evening when it started to cool down a bit. I arrived at the restaurant I was looking for! The purpose this time was the 3-day limited 120-minute all-you-can-drink for 500 yen. I entered and chose a sunken kotatsu seat. We toasted with Perfect Classic and Ginger Ale in the air-conditioned restaurant. The foam and taste were truly perfect! The appetizer was edamame, today's recommendation - shark ray sashimi, the famous hormone yaki (it was delicious and just the right size), mozuku vinegar (for the wife), and isobe imomochi (shared) (I don't usually eat it, but it was delicious!). I also had highballs from time to time and finished with Perfect Black Label! I had the impression that this place was an izakaya for tourists, so I didn't feel like going there, but I was lured in this time by the 120-minute all-you-can-drink for 500 yen and visited for the first time. As a result, I was impressed by the customer service and taste of the izakaya, so if I have the opportunity, I would like to go again!

We had a group of 7 people and enjoyed a la carte dishes with all-you-can-drink option. We had sashimi, squid noodles, fried chicken, chicken nanban, beef cutlet, tamagoyaki, etc. We extended the all-you-can-drink option for about 3 hours. The total bill came out to be 23,000 yen! It was around 3,000 yen per person. Such a great deal! Thank you for the delicious meal! ♫

I really wanted to eat Zangi, so I did some research and found a shop. A super long-established izakaya since 1965, called Grand Izakaya Fuji, commonly known as "Gura Fuji". I was surprised by the number of seats. It seems that they can accommodate 400 people on the 2nd floor and 4th to 6th floors. I didn't make a reservation, but thanks to the large number of seats, I was able to enter without any problems. First, we toasted with beer, and then ordered the Zangi that I was looking forward to. Since Hokkaido is known for its seafood, we also ordered sashimi and oysters. Just like Fukuoka, Hokkaido also has great food, and on this day, I thoroughly enjoyed the delicious Hokkaido cuisine. I think I won't be able to go to Hokkaido for a while due to the coronavirus, so it's very sad, but I hope to eat that Zangi again someday. I hope the coronavirus settles down soon.

Located about a 5-minute walk from Susukino Station on the Sapporo Municipal Subway Tozai Line, this restaurant is situated in the Fuji Kaikan Building, occupying several floors. We had reserved a private tatami room and were seated there. To start off, appetizers were already prepared on the table. The first dish was a daikon salad with chashu, served with a green dressing. The second dish was a sashimi platter with 7 varieties including red tuna, salmon, shrimp, bonito, and sea urchin. The shrimp was particularly large, almost like a prawn. Next was roast beef, served rare with a hint of ginger for added flavor. Following that, we had fried chicken, which was generously sized and lightly seasoned with salt. The tempura platter featured bite-sized pieces of tempura in 5 different varieties, served with matcha salt. The sushi platter included three classic types: tuna, salmon, and salmon roe. Lastly, we enjoyed a baked custard dessert. Additionally, there were two other high-end dishes whose names were unknown. The "9-course banquet" was unique in that the venue was smoke-free, allowing for a pleasant dining experience.

If you're a Sapporo resident, you must know about the Grand Izakaya Fuji. It's commonly known as Gura Fuji. I'm not sure what a Grand Izakaya is, but it's a reasonably priced restaurant that has been my favorite since my student days. I think the oysters are from Senpokushi and one large oyster costs 260 yen. The hot pot in the photo costs 1380 yen. It's a reasonably priced and delicious restaurant.

On November 22, 2018, when I visited the restaurant, it was almost full. As it is a long-established izakaya, the taste was reliable, the prices were reasonable, and I felt safe drinking there. After several years, I went out to eat on a Saturday night. The sashimi platter was all very fresh, and I was delighted to find my favorite tsubo sashimi included. The hot pot was also fantastic. I asked for the oysters to be grilled well, but since they were fresh, I thought they were more delicious lightly grilled. There was a wide variety of seafood dishes, which I love, and I definitely want to go back! The individual seating areas also made for a calm atmosphere.
