食太食太
During a period when hotel prices are high and it's difficult to find a hotel within budget, I stayed for the first time at Yamako, which I had known about before but didn't think it looked very appealing. The parking is free and the front desk area looks a bit empty. Honestly, it has a budget hotel feel. The staff at the front desk, a friendly man with a memorable necklace, is welcoming. The room is quite clean with a good sense of cleanliness. Despite being small, having a communal bath is a big plus. Now, the important part - breakfast. I looked forward to it and it opens at 6:30 am in the dining area on the first floor. The space where the food is laid out is small but efficiently arranged. As you pile your plate, it quickly fills up. There were sausages, mackerel, fried chicken, meatballs, shumai, chicken, salmon, asparagus wrapped in meat, char siu, tamagoyaki, fried eggs, natto, rice accompaniments, yakisoba, bacon, natto, sukiyaki, salad. Surprisingly good! Beyond my expectations for the low room rate. However, it was a bit disappointing that everything was cold. I recommend it if you're looking for a cheap stay. I might stay again soon to check if the food offerings have changed.
