I went to Sakae-cho in Higashi Ward. It's a charcoal-grilled hormone restaurant called Horumon Sakae that opened in April 9, 2012. I drove there again this time. There is a sign directing to the dedicated parking lot in front of the restaurant, so please check if you are coming by car. The parking lot, which can accommodate 6 cars, is located within the premises of furniture store Hasegawa. It's a convenient location for those coming by car, as long as you don't drink and drive. It's also just a short walk from exit 2 of the subway station, so it's convenient for those using public transportation. As soon as I entered the restaurant, I was greeted by lots of flowers both outside and inside, typical of a newly opened establishment. I was guided to a raised seating area at the back. After a brief opening greeting, I was given permission to take photos and to publish a review on Tabelog. Thank you very much. A shichirin (charcoal grill) was brought out, and I was served sagari, hormone (tetchan), and more sagari. In one word, "exquisite." The portions were not huge, but the quality of the meat provided was excellent. The amount was just right, not too little. In fact, my companion and I tried a wide variety of meats. We also ordered sangchu, which was a great deal at 300 yen for 10 pieces. Each piece was a decent size and came with gochujang, which we used to top the grilled sagari wrapped in sangchu. We also added a negi salad (salad with green onions) as a topping. Rolling up the sangchu and taking a bite, it was delicious! Of course, the rice also went well with it. We also ordered additional items like gyutan (beef tongue), kalbi, and samgyeopsal. The gyutan was sliced thickly and topped with the negi salad we had earlier. It had a chewy texture and a rich flavor that spread throughout the mouth. Delicious! We also had grilled vegetables, including eringi (100 yen!) and garlic oil-grilled garlic. As we continued eating, we also ordered a kimchi assortment to enjoy in a relaxed mood. The kimchi, which seemed to be from their sister restaurant Korean Home Cooking Saranban, had a good balance of spiciness and umami without being too sour. Overall, the prices were reasonable, especially considering the variety of authentic hormones available. The customer service was also very pleasant, making me want to come back without hesitation. With parking available (just a 1-minute walk away), affordable prices, and authentic grilled meat, this restaurant is highly recommended. Once again, I had a very delicious meal. Thank you very much.
