Well, the other day I went to a restaurant and had some delicious pork cutlet curry. The pork cutlet was really good. So, I decided to go back and luckily, the restaurant was open. I felt relieved that I didn't have to check beforehand. It's a hidden gem of a restaurant, quietly operating in a residential area. It must be becoming quite famous in the neighborhood. Last time, I had a hard time deciding and ended up ordering the pork cutlet curry. This time, I'm tempted by the pork cutlet, but there are also various other set meals available. Should I go for the pork cutlet rice bowl this time? Or maybe the pork cutlet meat spaghetti? The daily lunch special is only 500 yen, which is surprisingly cheap. On this day, it was written as chicken chop. I ultimately stuck to my initial plan and ordered the pork cutlet set meal. When the set meal arrived... it was huge!!! What I mean by huge is that the plate was just enormous. That's why the pork cutlet seemed so small. Come to think of it, the pork cutlet curry I had last time also came on this plate. Why is the plate so big...? It's completely overflowing from the tray...lol The rice... so much. Because the plate is big, the pork cutlet seems small, but it must be an illusion. But more than that, there's so much rice. The initial serving of rice was already like a large portion. And on top of that, free refills are available. Unlimited rice, so it's great for people who eat a lot. Various side dishes were served in small dishes. Pickled radish, bean sprouts and cucumber with mayo, boiled vegetables. It's like rapeseed flowers but it's not the season for them... I wonder what it is. Well, with these and miso soup, you can eat over half of the rice. The pork cutlet looked like this. The breading is not falling off, it's well-made. Even at specialty shops, there are places where the breading and meat fall apart, right? Considering that, it's amazing. And the meat is thinly pink and fried just right. The frying is on par with specialty shops. However, the breading is slightly hard. Some people might like it, but I prefer a crispy texture. This time, there was no salt, so I tried it with both sauce and soy sauce, and both were delicious. When I had eaten about half of it... I asked for half of the rice to be taken away... but they left the rice as it was lol Half means half, right? What half did they mean? Maybe it was even slightly more than the initial amount? Oh, I get it, it was the initial amount plus half! What should I do... I have to finish this amount with just three pork cutlets... In the end... I managed to eat it all lol It was delicious and challenging. I'll definitely go back. Thank you for the meal. ⇒◇A restaurant that is far away but makes you want to go there occasionally◇
