This is my second visit in about 30 years. Upon being seated, my temperature was taken. The seating is mostly in a tatami room. When I ordered a highball, I was recommended a 90-minute all-you-can-drink option for 1,500 yen. They even cater to solo customers. I decided to go for it. The otoshi (appetizer) was chicken gizzards and cucumber in a Japanese-style dressing, which was delicious. The grilled white liver skewer had a nice seared flavor without any unpleasant smell, and it paired well with sesame oil and salt. The local chicken skewer had a crispy skin and juicy meat, and each skewer was quite large. The Hokkaido pork skewer used thin pork belly slices with delicious fat. The natto and nori tsukune (meatball) had natto wrapped in the meatball and then wrapped in seaweed, with a stronger natto flavor than the meatball itself. The natto omelette was fluffy with plenty of natto inside, and surprisingly, it went well with the okonomiyaki-style mayo and sauce. All dishes were delicious. The menu prices are not inclusive of tax, which can be a bit confusing, but you receive a lottery ticket at payment which gives you a coupon for your next visit. (July 2021)

First visit to this izakaya in the neighborhood. Ordered chicken wings, skewers, and potatoes. The spicy chicken wings were delicious. The portion was generous and the prices were cheap. I also ordered the butter potatoes, which were amazing. I went by car so I couldn't drink alcohol, but they would go well with beer. I definitely want to visit this place again.

Today, I attended a study session from noon to evening. It was a "boot camp" where like-minded colleagues from different workplaces gathered to improve their skills. After the study session, we had a long-awaited social gathering. The venue was a restaurant located at the Kikusuie Circular Pedestrian Bridge at the 6-way intersection in Shiroishi Ward, Sapporo. This bridge is where the "White Stones" team from "Wednesday's Downtown" filmed their episodes. Around 25 people, of all ages and genders, attended the gathering. The party course cost around 4000 yen and included 8 dishes and all-you-can-drink. The food consisted of sashimi, fried food, Chinese dishes, yakitori, seafood dishes, salad, volcano rice, and dessert. It felt more cost-effective compared to similar courses in Susukino. The dishes had a homemade feel and were quite substantial. The "volcano rice" dish served at the end was particularly filling, with white rice omelet covered in soy sauce gravy and topped with simmered pork. By the time we left the restaurant, we were quite full. It was a restaurant in a location that I don't often visit, but I'm glad that the teachers and everyone else enjoyed themselves. Many thanks to the organizers. Thank you for the meal.

This is a pub located between Kikusui and Higashi Sapporo, with poor transportation access. However, it seems to be a friendly place for young people and locals. This time, I tried their famous fried chicken wings to go. The wings were small and lacked meat, but they were seasoned with a sweet and spicy flavor. Although they claimed it was their specialty, it was a simple taste that can be found in any pub, and not particularly delicious. They had various recommendations, but none seemed very promising, so I don't think I will be returning.

It was a shop near my house that I had passed by several times in my car, so I finally mustered up the courage to say hello~ |д゚) Inside, it was a normal izakaya with tatami seating and counter seating. I felt relieved... haha. I ordered the all-you-can-drink for 2 hours (1500 yen) and cheers! The appetizer was sashimi konnyaku. When I looked at the menu, I was surprised to see that there were quite a variety of dishes for a small restaurant! I ordered a few things, and the taste was just like a regular izakaya, but in a good way - delicious. However, the one thing that impressed me was the white liver skewers!!!! (Around 200 yen...?) I usually don't like liver because of its mushy texture, but the liver skewers here were completely different!! It was the first time I actually enjoyed liver skewers. It's worth visiting just for the liver skewers! I tried both the salt and sauce flavors, and I prefer the salt one (^^)/ The only downside was that as a woman, I couldn't help but feel a bit concerned about the restroom situation in a food and drink establishment. When you drink beer, you tend to go to the restroom often, you know... The female staff were friendly, and I left the restaurant feeling satisfied. Thank you for the meal☆

I went to a trendy shop at the foot of a circular pedestrian bridge in Kikusuizu, Sapporo. This was my third visit here. Every time I leave satisfied, it's a shop where you can find anything on the menu - sashimi, yakitori, Chinese, Western, etc. The prices are reasonable and everything I order is delicious! My favorites are the omelette with mentaiko sauce and the salmon rice ball. The omelette with mentaiko cream sauce is very tasty. The salmon rice ball has the perfect amount of salt and the grilled salmon inside is just the way I like it. The surface is slightly grilled and I always hesitate whether to have a second one. Since eating here, I've become addicted to rice balls and have tried them at various other shops, but I have never found any that are better than the ones at this shop. The shop has a friendly atmosphere with what seems to be a kind manager and very friendly female and male staff. The warmth of the staff is soothing. Although the shop itself is old, it feels cozy, which is probably due to the staff. This is a shop I would like to use for casual dining about once a month.

I attended a gathering at a nearby hotel and on the way back, I went to a restaurant with a few friends. It was close to 8 pm and there were only 2 customers. We were greeted with a "please sit anywhere" attitude. We started with a draft beer, but it tasted weak and had a slight sourness to it, indicating poor cleaning of the equipment. The appetizer was gizzard with sesame paste. It was crunchy and tasty. For our main dishes, we ordered sashimi, grilled beef tongue, grilled beef skirt, spicy miso hormone, and mapo tofu (very spicy and numbing type). Towards the end, we were served a boiled dish of cod milt as a complimentary service. As for drinks, my friends had sake while I had shochu with roasted green tea. The sashimi varied in temperature and the grilled dishes were not hot enough, likely due to cold plates. The mapo tofu was mediocre with lumps of starch, and the cod milt was served cold. The shochu with roasted green tea was already at a drinkable temperature without needing to cool it further. They were out of the requested Kubota sake and only had a limited selection of sake available. Overall, the experience was disappointing, with poor-quality beer, lukewarm grilled dishes, cold boiled dish, and tepid shochu. I cannot recommend this restaurant.

We often visit this restaurant as a family from Asahikawa. It's a place we're willing to go out of our way to visit. The grilled dishes and fried foods are delicious, but I especially love the sashimi. Lately, it seems like there are fewer raw meat dishes on the menu, which is a shame (maybe it was just that time). The sashimi they serve is always of good quality. The desserts are also amazing, I always have a hard time deciding which one to get. The Shiratama Zenzai is a must-try, with its freshly boiled chewy and warm shiratama paired with cold ice cream. The Honey Toast is also outstanding in both taste and portion size! This restaurant is recommended for everyone, including children and non-drinkers, as they offer a wide variety of dishes from rice to dessert.

The main attraction was the white liver sashimi. My boyfriend, who is not a big fan of raw organ meats, had been curious because he heard that "the liver sashimi here doesn't smell!" So we ordered it along with a cheers beer. The elegant white-pink sashimi wrapped in white leeks and ginger, dipped in sesame oil with garlic... It was truly delicious! The soft texture had no hint of odor, and we finished it in no time. The appetizer (I think it was a sticky mix of natto, okra, and seaweed) was generous, the chicken karaage was juicy, and the daikon salad was refreshing and crunchy. The only downside was that the alcohol prices were a bit high (or rather not impressively cheap). The menu was extensive and there were various things posted on the walls that caught my interest, so I definitely want to go back again.
