This is my first visit with my daughter to a tapioca shop located a 1-minute walk from Minamisato 13-chome. There is no parking available, and customers are not allowed to park on the street. Taking photos is prohibited, as well as making large purchases. Leaning on the counter is not allowed, and coming to the front of the store by bicycle is also prohibited. There are many rules posted on the walls, so make sure to read them carefully. While tastes may vary, personally, I did not find it to my liking. Perhaps it's because I frequently work in Thailand and have developed a discerning taste for tapioca, or maybe it's just because I'm an old man. Having gotten used to the low prices of tapioca in Thailand, I found the prices in Japan to be high. However, I understand that tapioca is popular among women. For those planning to visit, it's best to come on foot or use the paid parking available, even if it's a bit far.

What a simple shop. That was my first impression. One thing to note is the parking situation. It seems like there are two spots in front of the shop, but I wonder if those are for staff. Customers are asked to park in the paid parking lot on the subway side. The system relies on menus posted outside the shop and inside the empty shop. There are no pictures or actual items to refer to. Since we came all this way, my daughter and I ordered tapioca with a soy milk base. When I put it in my mouth, it was a bit gritty, maybe because the powder wasn't fully dissolved. Hmm٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

There was only one staff member, so there was a wait if there were customers in line. There were a lot of signs posted, as mentioned in reviews. The drinks were weak - I ordered a café au lait but it was very weak. Many customers ordered drinks without ice, but the portion was small. I didn't really feel the staff's attitude was bad.

The restaurant was takeout only, so I couldn't take photos inside. I chose a black tapioca milk tea to go. It was good, no issues. It cost 580 yen. The shop's sign was tacky, which was a shame. Thank you for the meal.

On a certain weekday, I finally found the right timing to stop by a tapioca specialty store located in the Minamisato 13-chome area of Shiroishi Ward. The parking situation in front of the store seems to be difficult. The location is next to Shirokuma Pan, and the interior of the store is compact and super simple, with a slightly tense atmosphere due to the no eating or drinking allowed inside policy. On this day, I noticed a limited edition item on the menu, the "Caramel Milk Tea (500 yen)", and decided to try the "Gold" tapioca option. With the first sip, I was impressed by the soft and chewy tapioca, which was unique with its black and gold colors. The milk tea itself had a slightly restrained sweetness, and the caramel flavor added a nice touch. The tapioca was truly authentic, showing the seriousness of the store, but the only major downside seems to be the inconvenient location for those arriving by car. Thank you for the meal.

There are many varieties of tea-based drinks, making it more suitable for adults. I personally love the honey jasmine tea. You can choose between two types of tapioca - black and gold, and even mix them. If you prefer a light taste, go for the gold, and if you like it sweet, go for the black. The store is located in the suburbs, so there usually isn't a long line. However, the small interior may be a bit uncomfortable for children to wait in. It's a take-out only shop with no parking lot. There is a sign saying, "For those coming by car, please use the nearby paid parking lot." Recently, there is also a sign saying no photography allowed, so make sure to take pictures of your drink outside.

This is a place in Higashi-ku, along Shiraiwa Street in the 13th block south of Hongodori Street. For the exact location, as always, please check the map on Tabelog. I watched a popular variety TV show and became interested in tapioca, so I visited this shop nearby for the first time. When I arrived at the shop, there were already customers waiting outside, customers ordering inside, and I lined up to place my order. As it was my first time, I ordered the classic menu item "Tapioca Milk Tea" with gold tapioca, paid immediately, received a number tag, and lined up at the pick-up area. After 7-8 minutes, my number was called and I received the Tapioca Milk Tea, took a photo as usual, and returned to my car. I then used a straw to sip the milk tea with tapioca. The milk tea was moderately sweet and easy to drink, and the tapioca was slightly sweet with a chewy texture similar to gummy candy. Personally, I think that for a dessert in warm weather, soft serve ice cream is cheaper and better than tapioca milk tea.

The daughter and mother went to a tea shop together. The daughter ordered chocolate milk tea with black tapioca, while the mother ordered milk tea with black tapioca made with soy milk. They got their drinks to go as there was no seating area. The daughter mentioned that the chocolate milk tea was sweet and delicious, with tapioca that had a good texture. She, who has tried tapioca from various places, felt that the tapioca here had a strong authenticity. Tapioca is made from cassava, a root vegetable, and is a carbohydrate. While some tapioca can be mushy, the one here seemed to be made properly from the root vegetable. As for the soy milk tea, the mother described it as not too sweet and having a more mature taste. Both drinks are high in calories, so they decided to come here occasionally.

On April 7, 2019, I visited a subway station "Nango 13-chome" and found a line of about 20 people in front of the store around 2 pm on Sunday. I decided to wait since I came all the way here. It took about an hour to receive the products. The menu only offers tapioca drinks, with options of gold and black tapioca. You can also order a mix of both, with an additional 100 yen for a big size or extra tapioca. They can also adjust the amount of ice or remove it completely. I ordered a gold tapioca soy milk tea for 450 yen. There is no seating inside the store, only takeout. The gold tapioca has a better flavor and a satisfying chewiness compared to the black tapioca. The soy milk tea was not too sweet and easy to drink. It might be worth getting the big size. The taste is not bad, but in terms of cost performance, it is not the best compared to other stores. It seems that they have been closing early due to selling out quickly since they opened. Overall, it was a decent experience.

I love tapioca but it's not easy to find in my neighborhood. When I was in Sapporo, I checked UberEATS and found it! I decided to order it. The tapioca was chewy and delicious. I've had tapioca in milk tea and coffee before, but tapioca in orange tea was surprisingly good! The tapioca trend may have passed, but once you try it, you'll want to drink it again. Thank you for the meal! *(^o^)/*
