【Takeout available】Located in the Nishijimamatsu area, which has residential areas, military bases, farmland, etc., is a vegetable stand run by a local farmer. The direct sales started from May 17th, 2021. The shop is located about 380m from the intersection at the crossroads of Shimamatsu Odori and the road leading to Keito Reien. On my revisit around 12 o'clock on May 19, 2021, I found out that they are not selling asparagus this year, which was disappointing. The variety is still limited, but the sales for 2021 have started from May 17th. Today, I didn't have an eco bag with me, so I didn't want to buy too much and risk things flying away like bananas, so I settled for some chives for 100 yen. Look at how thick and tender these chives are! Spring chives are softer and sweeter compared to those in summer or fall. However, they have a milder aroma and flavor, so I lightly boiled them and made a vinegar miso dressing. They would also be good simply blanched as a side dish.

This is a vegetable direct sales store that sells fresh vegetables at a great price. I have been using this place for over ten years. They mainly sell corn and daikon radish, but they also have napa cabbage, tomatoes, cabbage, bell peppers, eggplants, potatoes, edamame, broccoli, and more. There is also a roadside station nearby, but the quality and price of corn and daikon radish here are much better! During peak season, daikon radishes are only 50-80 yen each! They are excellent quality! Daikon radish salad and simmered daikon radish are delicious during this season. I will continue to rely on them in the future. Thank you, Fukumoto-san!
