Recommended course with 40 dishes lunch buffet featuring Japanese, Western, and Chinese cuisine, along with patisserie sweets and free-flow soft drinks for only 2000 yen per person! Plus, get a 10% discount with a coupon from Tabelog! Gotta go try it out! Ate until completely satisfied, trying all the dishes and going back for more of my favorites. The chef's special demonstration menu features hand-rolled sushi on weekdays and roast beef on weekends and holidays. The roast beef was incredibly tender and delicious. The spicy and flavorful beef tendon curry was also a standout. The patisserie sweets were decent, with a variety of ice cream flavors available. The staff takes pride in their coffee, offering freshly ground beans and hand-dripped coffee served in pre-warmed cups. The 90-minute all-you-can-eat buffet with soft drinks for 2000 yen is a steal, and even cheaper for those aged 65 and above at 1600 yen. I hope this place continues until I turn 65 so I can visit again when I crave a hearty meal. Thank you, Southwest!

I went on a date on the 25th and made a reservation through Tabelog, which was convenient. I got a 10% discount for booking early at 4,800 yen per person. The menu included live cooking, roast beef, seafood hand-pressed sushi, smoked duck crepe wraps, creme brulee, garlic shrimp, pizza, roast chicken, ham and quiche tartine, and more. The atmosphere was great with a mix of couples, friends, and elderly couples. The staff were attentive and the service was excellent. The champagne service was a nice touch. The highlight was the roast beef, which was delicious and tender with truffle sauce. The seafood sushi was also excellent. Overall, the food was delicious and the desserts were plentiful. I left feeling full and happy.

Although the focus is on summer vegetables, there are many menu options, but the roast beef, limited edition fruit sandwich (two types of melon) were particularly appealing and led to multiple servings. The price is reasonable for the quality of the food. This time, the age group was higher, so there were fewer repeat orders, which slowed down the turnover of dishes. Thank you for the meal - 2,600 yen per person.

Sapporo Tokyu REI Hotel 1F houses a casual restaurant with a buffet-style main. The afternoon tea held between lunch and dinner is adorable, and the current theme is "early summer", inspired by the image of fluffy clouds floating in the early summer sky, which is very Hokkaido-like. The restaurant is open for a limited time until July 30th, with a reservation required at least two days in advance and limited to 30 servings per day. Upon arrival, we were guided to the restaurant entrance on the mall side by a staff member, as the hotel also has an entrance. The restaurant has a light and airy feel, facing the street with large windows, reminiscent of a hotel breakfast buffet area. The hot drinks are self-service, with a variety of teas available for order via QR code for cold drinks. Once seated, we were served a variety of sweets and savory plates, followed by the main attraction "airy", which was brought in with a cloud-like presentation on a sky-blue tablecloth. The dessert was a light and refreshing blend of fromage blanc mousse, banana jelly, mango-pineapple fruit, and passion fruit cream, offering a delightful mix of flavors. The drinks were self-serve, with a selection of teas including my favorite Lupicia brand. The savory items were all delicious, with a subtle yet distinct vegetable taste that stood out. The asparagus was particularly tasty. Be sure to check out the hotel's Instagram for more information on their offerings. 【Shop Info】 Southwest Sapporo Tokyu REI Hotel 1F, 5-1 Minami 4 Jonishi, Chuo-ku, Sapporo ☎️ 011-531-1065 (9:00-18:00) IG @sapporo_tokyurei 1 minute walk from Susukino Station, 8 minutes walk from Ginza Station B2 exit ⏰ 15:30-18:00 (Last order 16:30, Last call 17:30) Closed on: None (except June 24th and 25th) Reservation required Parking available

【No smoking】Located in the bustling entertainment district of Susukino in Sapporo, Hotel Tokyu REI Hotel's restaurant offers a popular lunch buffet. The hotel is about 50 meters west of the Susukino intersection. They used to have a stamp card, but it seems they have switched to a Line app for their service details. Today, I revisited the hotel at 11:30 am. The weather forecast predicted rain all day, so I decided to skip cycling and attend the limited-time Snow Miku Galapon lottery event in the downtown area. As a bonus, I enjoyed a lunch buffet after a long time. I arrived just in time for the opening, and it seemed like I was the only walk-in guest among those who had reservations. The weekends had the same rates as weekdays, but they offered live cooking stations and roast beef. Although I'm not a big fan of beef, I tried a couple of servings of roast beef with sautéed spinach, which I found surprisingly delicious. The crispy skin of a soy-like item was my favorite dish of the day. There were plenty of carbohydrate options, which I appreciated as I tend to eat less during this season. Overall, I left feeling satisfied, although I was disappointed that the staff didn't serve the good drip coffee they usually have. The early closing time meant I had to leave after about two hours. It was also a shame that the paper stamp card had been replaced with an app, making it unusable. Despite these minor issues, I look forward to visiting again.

It felt like a classic hotel buffet! They had roast beef, roast pork, along with other elaborate dishes like sausage stir-fry with potatoes, white fish with sauce, okonomiyaki, mapo tofu with glass noodles, chirashi sushi, fried rice, pasta, curry, vegetable gratin, pizza, salad bar, seared bonito, bread (including Okameya bread), and various jams like Furano apple jam and pumpkin jam. They also had milk butter and red bean jam! For dessert, they had various options including soft serve ice cream made with Biei milk (with caramel, matcha, chocolate, and black honey sauce). Everything was delicious! Surprisingly, there were no fried foods, but the curry was rich and flavorful, and the pasta was tasty with a tomato base. The soft serve ice cream was creamy and tasty even without the sauce. The roast pork had a slight off-flavor, but overall, it was a great meal. The milk for drinks was local and I couldn't stop drinking it. The price of 2,600 yen for adults felt a bit high, but I understand why it's always crowded. We received a 2-hour free parking ticket. There were also tourists from overseas enjoying the buffet, so I thought it was a good choice for lunch. I would love to come back when I have the budget for it. Thank you for the meal.

I used a coupon I received from a company and went to a hotel buffet. I was looking forward to it, but they only had udon, yakisoba, curry, scrambled eggs... except for the roast beef, it was just a typical breakfast buffet lineup. There were many dessert options, but they weren't particularly beautiful...and for 2500 yen, it was too expensive. The taste was just average.

I went to the lunch buffet at Southwest in the REI Hotel in Susukino! There were many different kinds of food, and I planned to try a little of each, but I ended up taking too much beef sinew curry and got full... In the end, the coffee and soft serve ice cream were delicious! I want to come back again♪

On a certain holiday, I decided to have lunch at a buffet restaurant located on the 1st floor of the Tokyu Rei Hotel in the Susukino area near the subway station. The restaurant was spacious with many seats, and I knew from previous experience that it would quickly fill up, so I arrived before opening time. As expected, the restaurant was already full, with some people even making reservations in advance. I opted for the buffet option priced at 2500 yen, and as soon as I was seated, I started sampling the dishes. The salad was fresh and crunchy, with a variety of unique dressings. The roast beef was tender and flavorful, served with crispy potatoes. The side dishes had their own distinct flavors - the shumai had a hint of citrus, the pizza had anchovies for a unique taste, and the pasta with bacon was simple yet delicious. The seafood and meat dishes were well-prepared and seasoned, and the pumpkin gratin was particularly tasty. The crab soup curry was a highlight with generous amounts of crab meat. The second round of dishes included a creamy pumpkin soup, sesame chicken, and various other flavorful dishes. The dessert selection was extensive, with highlights like persimmon mochi, small but delicious daifuku, and a variety of cakes and mousse. The soft serve ice cream was a bit unique in texture but still enjoyable. Overall, despite the slightly higher prices compared to before, the quality of the food was worth it. I left the restaurant feeling satisfied and full, especially after indulging in the wide array of desserts.

After a long time, I went to Southwest restaurant. I made a reservation but it was fully booked. Once inside, I quickly started! There was a line of about 30 people waiting to order, so I felt rushed as I only had 90 minutes. The quality of the salad, drinks, and overall food was excellent! The roast beef, Biei milk ice cream, and fruit sandwich from Okameya were especially delicious! Time flew by quickly. Thank you for the meal!

I visited the lunch buffet at Southwest, which was renewed from July. The price increased to 2500 yen, but for the rest of this month, you can enjoy it for 2000 yen on weekdays if you book through the official website. The reason I chose today was because the weekly demonstration menu seemed to be my favorite! Here are the main things I ate and my thoughts on them: - Roast Beef (demonstration)... It is so tender that you don't need a knife, but it has a good thickness and is delicious. Honestly, it is outstanding among the roast beef I have eaten at buffets. - Corn Waffle and Salmon Miki... It is delicious with a sweet sauce and a tangy sauce. You can eat them separately or together. - Peach Compote Sabayon... The large peaches are delightful! You can also enjoy them with fruit or sauce. When I asked for it with soft serve ice cream, they kindly put two peaches on top. - Tarzanji... It is juicy and tender, easy to eat despite its size. - Eel and Sticky Rice Shumai... The eel is of a decent size and the chewy texture is exquisite, making me eat a lot. - Soy Poêlé with Uni Sauce... Despite its mild appearance, the uni sauce flavor is strong, making you want rice. - Pizza... It is delicious but surprisingly thick, filling up the stomach. - Roasted Potatoes with Anchovy Oil... The colorful potatoes and the broccoli fritter side dish are also tasty. - Garlic Chive and Eggplant Mapo Tofu... It becomes slightly spicy later on, the garlic chives are not overpowering, making it easy to eat. - Ishikari Vegetables Bouillon Soup... It is rich in flavor with plenty of vegetables, making it easy to eat. - Seasonal Vegetable Omelette... It contains spinach and has a thick cut with a good volume. - Summer Vegetable Tomato Pasta... It is easy to eat with plenty of diced vegetables. - Beef Tendon Curry... It can be eaten by children but is also satisfying for adults, with just the right amount of spiciness. - Edamame and Kombu Mixed Rice... The seasoning is mild, making it perfect to pair with other side dishes. - Sweet Shrimp, Flying Fish, and Cucumber Seafood Chirashi... The sweet shrimp's firm texture and the flying fish's chewy texture are irresistible. - Ishikari Vegetable and Bacon Quiche... The combination of mushrooms and bacon is a favorite, but I would have been happier if the crust had a crispy texture, suitable for warm dishes. - Consommé Gelee and Vichyssoise Parissienne... It is finely sieved, leaving a potato taste while being easy to drink. - Yubari Melon and Prosciutto... The first Yubari melon of the year is here! I have a poor palate, so I shared it, but both were superb. - Ohagi, Warabi Mochi... I love Warabi Mochi, so I was happy! I also like Ohagi, but I wanted to try the Mizumanju (2 out of 3 daily) as well. - Milk Pudding to Savor with Seasonal Sauces... It has a milky flavor, and the sauce was in a jelly-like form. - Coffee Chiffon... It has a strong coffee flavor, but it improves significantly when paired with ice cream or soft serve. - Almond Pound Cake... It has plenty of almonds on top. This one also goes well with ice cream or soft serve. - Honey Roll... It has a gentle sweetness. This one also goes well with ice cream or soft serve. - Citrus and Chocolate Mousse... The citrus flavor is an accent and it tastes delicious. - Berry and Fromage Mousse... I personally prefer it with a stronger berry acidity. - Coffee Jelly... The bitterness of the jelly and the cream with chocolate are a perfect combination. - Biei Milk Soft Serve... Incredibly milky and delicious! I am so happy that it is all-you-can-eat now! I ate a lot again this time. The standout dishes were the signature Roast Beef, the unexpected hit of the grilled dumplings, and especially satisfying were... the ===========

In July 2022, a former colleague visited home after 3 years, so we had a lunch with just 3 of us instead of the usual 5. I was in charge of choosing the restaurant and after recommending a few places, we decided on one that offered a Chef's demonstration roast beef. I found out that making a direct reservation gets a high discount rate, so I made the reservation! We met at the entrance on the Susukino side, and followed the rules to start the lunch buffet within 90 minutes. The restaurant was quite busy, and we carefully observed the dishes before sitting down. We tried a variety of appetizers and enjoyed the roast beef, using a knife and fork. The dessert selection was great, and the coffee was also good. The curry was especially delicious! I even thought about making a reservation for a curry lunch with appetizers and free drinks. Overall, it was a delightful meal, though we got so caught up in chatting that we forgot to take many photos. Ninety minutes felt too short!

I stayed at the Sapporo Tokyu REI Hotel using the "Dohmin Waribiki" discount. City hotels are now affordable for accommodation. I have my "Vaccination Certificate" saved on my smartphone, which I showed during check-in. The price was 5,000 yen for one night. I also received a 2,000 yen "Hokkaido Support Coupon" and a breakfast voucher for the hotel restaurant "Southwest". The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Susukino, so I often stay here when I want to explore the area. I have stayed here a few times using discounts like "Dohmin Waribiki" and "Sapporo Waribiki", and breakfast was always included, but this was the first time I actually ate at the hotel. The breakfast started at 6:30 am, and I wasn't very impressed with the Japanese food options. The only thing I enjoyed was the "Makanai Don" in a cup. I decided to go for the Western-style breakfast, which turned out to be better. The made-to-order French toast, bread, and salad were all good. The breakfast was also available to non-guests for 2,200 yen, which may not be worth it. Maybe I ate too much for breakfast because I didn't have much energy for the rest of the day. Since it was July and the sales were on, I focused more on shopping than food activities that day. (laughs)

I visited the cake buffet at "Southwest" for the first time in a while. The theme was "Early Christmas". Christmas songs (Japanese) were playing in the store, and the staff were dressed up in costumes. Despite the high price of 3300 yen for the buffet, I was determined to eat a lot because the quality is reliable. Below are the menu items and my thoughts on them. ~Sweets~ - Blood Orange Dessert: A live demonstration sweet limited to one plate. The pattern on top is white chocolate. Inside is a cake with just the right amount of sweetness and sourness from thick slices of blood orange. The vessel is made of chocolate and shortbread, so it can be eaten completely. - Chocolat Mango Parfait: Refreshing on top, rich at the bottom with a satisfying texture. - Orange Lychee: A western-style almond jelly? The jelly part in the middle has a surprising bitterness that adds a nice touch. - Coupe Fraises: Plenty of berry sauce with a sweet and sour taste that is refreshing and delicious. - Gateau Chocolat Amande: There is cream inside, but compared to fondant chocolate, it is quite heavy with a solid dough. - Tart Chocolat Pistache: Plenty of chocolate flavor, but not as heavy as it looks. - Stollen: Large fruits and nuts! It's an early Christmas mood. - Gateau Cafe: The bitterness of coffee flavor is strong and refreshing. - Lemon Weekend: The lemon glaze on top is quite refreshing and easy to eat. - Eclair Praline: The crispy texture and rich nut cream are irresistible. - Caramel Banana Pound: The top dough tastes and feels like real bananas. - Miserable Rum Raisin: The rum-flavored rum raisins and the perfect combination of moist and crispy dough. - Chocolage: A Basque cheesecake-like cake made with chocolate. Delicious! - Gateau Basque Marron: Didn't feel much chestnut flavor, but it has a simple taste similar to mooncakes. - Mousse au The Citron: More tea flavor than lemon? - Yuzu Pamplemousse Mousse: Sweeter than it looks, so a bit more acidity would be preferable. - Cafe Chocola Roll: Chocolate inside and out. Delicious but heavy. - Cheese Tart: A heavy menu item. The crispy tart and two layers of cheese cream are delicious. - Mousse au Vanille: A rich and heavy item with a sticky bottom dough. - Chocolat Blanc Framboise: Cute appearance and easy to eat with raspberry flavor. ~Food~ - Roast Pork Berry Sauce: A live menu item. The berry sauce is good, but I prefer salty sauce. - Salmon Marinade and Egg Salad: I want to make a sandwich! It's a shame there are only croissants and pain au chocolat. - Pearl Mozzarella and Prosciutto Caprese: The basil sauce is delicious and I could eat as much as I want. I also want to make a sandwich out of this! - Roast Chicken Slices and Dried Fruit Salad: Surprisingly strong seasoning, but it's delicious. - Shrimp and Vermicelli Chinese-style Salad: Refreshing and easy to eat. - Mixed Leaf Salad: A salad within a salad. - Tuna and Olive Potato Salad: I want more tuna and olives. - Chickpea and Clam Remoulade: A salad like clam chowder. - Carrot Raper Maple-flavored Yogurt: A mysterious taste between salad and dessert, but I like it. - Purple Cabbage and Orange Coriander Marinade: Refreshing salad. - Lotus Root Salad with Mentaiko Flavor: A favorite combination. I could eat as much as I want. - Seafood Macaroni Gratin: I would like more seafood, but the taste is universally appealing. - Gapao Rice: With eggs, it's not too spicy. Gapao rice is one of my favorite dishes. - Pizza Margherita: Plenty of ham on a chewy crust. Luckily, I got to eat it freshly baked. - Spaghetti Bolognese: Better than it looks.

Sapporo Tokyu REI Hotel's breakfast buffet!! Unfortunately, they don't offer room-only accommodation, which is a bit disappointing. Normally, you could have breakfast at a different place, but I decided to go light this time to avoid affecting lunch. Even though non-guests can also enjoy the breakfast buffet here for 1900 yen, the quality doesn't seem worth it. It's more reasonable when included in the room rate in the 4000 yen range. The breakfast buffet for 1900 yen is lacking compared to hotels offering free breakfast with better quality. There are no standout dishes, like shaping fried eggs into Hokkaido's form doesn't excite me. There are also few fried dishes. However, one good thing was making a seafood marinated rice bowl, which turned out quite nice. Plus, you can add as much grated kelp as you want to the miso soup. I might have added too much grated kelp. Despite that, I tried to keep the rice portion small and balanced my meal well. Other customers seemed to struggle to fill all 9 squares on their plates, and empty seats were noticeable. I wonder why some people didn't eat much. Thank you for the meal~♪ [Tabelog rating] ☆3.40 [Tanuki's rating (morning)] ★Overall... 32 points ★Atmosphere... 7 points ★Food... 6 points ★Standout dish... 6 points ★Cost performance... 7 points ★Likelihood to revisit... 6 points

I first used this restaurant two years ago at this time of year and decided to revisit after a long time. It was a weekday, and the featured dishes were seafood nori rolls and a daily pasta special. I was expecting a seafood dish, but it turned out to be a simple dish of shirasu (whitebait) with olive oil, which wasn't bad in taste. The pasta was cooked after ordering, and on this day, it was topped with asari clams and a carrot sauce, which was quite filling. Personally, as I am not a fan of dairy products, my options were limited, but I found the red fish with negi (green onion) sauce delicious and had three helpings. They also offered beef tendon curry, corn soup, miso soup, and ramen. However, the ramen soup was lukewarm, which was disappointing. Coffee was served by the staff, who would first warm the cup with hot water. They also had bread, desserts, juices, and tea, with a decent selection overall. The restaurant had a hotel-like feel and a pleasant atmosphere, making it one of my favorites.

【Non-smoking】The popular Tokyu REI Hotel in Susukino, Sapporo, offers a great lunch buffet at their restaurant. The hotel is located about 50 meters west of the Susukino intersection. Today, I visited the restaurant around 1 pm. It was a rainy day, so I couldn't go cycling as planned and ended up going for the lunch buffet instead. I arrived at the restaurant around 12:15 pm and was seated promptly. I started with some dishes, but I didn't enjoy the sea urchin sauce and pasta, as I had expected. The highlight of the meal was the roasted potatoes with asparagus and the sour cabbage stir-fry that accompanied the roast pork. I didn't eat much overall, as I tend to eat less on my days off when I haven't been cycling. I drank plenty of milk and even indulged in some ice cream and pudding, so I left feeling quite satisfied.

I wandered around the city center from the morning and took a break at the first floor Southwest of the Tokyu REI Hotel. Although some hotels only offer breakfast to guests staying at the hotel, it seems that you can also use the breakfast buffet here without staying overnight. The staff in smart black attire informed me, "We are currently serving a breakfast buffet." I confirmed that I could just have coffee, and entered the buffet area. I sat at a four-person table away from the buffet area. There were counter seats facing towards Route 36 by the window. I ordered a "Blend Coffee (refills allowed) @550+tax." A pure white cup and saucer were brought to me in about 5 minutes. I enjoyed the coffee. It had a mild acidity and a refreshing taste, suitable for general consumption. The taste was neither good nor bad, but since refills were allowed, the cost performance was not bad if you wanted to spend a relaxing time. Normally, it would be crowded with hotel guests during breakfast time, but due to the COVID-19 situation, there were only a few customers, so I was able to spend a quiet and calm time. I have also used the lunch buffet a few times, and I remember that the content was not bad for the price. I had another cup of coffee and stayed for about an hour. I will visit again if I have the chance. Thank you for the meal.

This shop, where people always line up before opening, seems to be refraining from buffet-style lunches due to the impact of the new coronavirus. Before entering the store, customers are asked to wash their hands with alcohol. The lunch menu consists of roast beef bowl for 500 yen and plate lunch. I ordered the roast beef bowl. It was served without much wait. It comes with miso soup and a small salad. The roast beef bowl has a soft-boiled egg and green onions on top. The sauce has a tangy taste like ponzu. The roast beef slices were of a moderate thickness, with 7 slices in total. They were tender and delicious, but the sauce lacked punch and didn't quite match with the rice. It would be nice if there were a variety of sauces to choose from. (March 2020)

Southwest - Restaurant: Located on the 1st floor of Sapporo Tokyu REI Hotel, just a 1-minute walk from Susukino Station. Offers a wide range of options including lunch buffets, cafes, dinner courses, and a la carte menus. The interior is bright, open, and has a hotel-like atmosphere. - Food: Lunch Buffet (¥2000) - This buffet was a special New Year's edition with a different menu and price. The highlight was the live roast beef station where they sliced the warm, tender meat like steak. You could choose from various sauces and toppings, making it a delightful experience. The buffet also included sushi, pasta, shrimp chili, and a wide selection of desserts. The chocolate mousse cake was particularly delicious, with a rich and fluffy texture. The DIY parfait was also a hit, with a variety of ice cream flavors and toppings to create your own masterpiece. - Recommended for: Families looking to enjoy a buffet together, those wanting to dine at a buffet in the city, and people who enjoy making their own parfaits. - Similar Places: Coeur d'Or - A cake shop in the same hotel where you can get delicious cakes to go, and Marumugi Moon Bakery - A bakery next to the Southwest exit offering organic wheat and natural yeast bread for takeout. - Must-try: DIY parfait, drip coffee, chocolate mousse cake Overall, the buffet area was not too crowded, and the seating was spacious, allowing for a relaxed dining experience. The menu catered to a wide range of preferences, from kid-friendly to trendy options, and even dishes that would appeal to the elderly. I would definitely visit again with my family. Bon appétit!

I haven't been to this hotel's lunch buffet in a few years, but I decided to try it out this time after researching online and finding that it was slightly cheaper than nearby hotels. I went around 1 pm on the first day of a long weekend, and while there were some customers, there were also plenty of empty seats. It was crowded with people of all ages, and I went alone as usual. The staff were friendly and showed me to my seat, and I started selecting dishes. There were about 35 items available, including hotel-like dishes, drinks, and desserts. On weekends and holidays, they also had a live cooking station where they were serving sliced roast beef, which I went back for seconds. It was the most memorable dish, with its thickness, tenderness, and great flavor. Overall, it was not bad at all, but there were not many Japanese dishes, and if they had grilled fish or fried food, I would give it a 5.0. The staff were also very good, which is why I gave this rating.

Located on the 1st floor of Sapporo Tokyu REI Hotel, near Susukino Station. A restaurant with a lunch buffet that I always visit once a year for work-related reasons. On this day, I entered as soon as they opened. The lunch buffet costs 1,700 yen for adults. They offer a variety of Japanese, Western, and Chinese dishes, as well as live cooking demonstrations. I started with a salad, with a variety of fresh vegetables like lettuce, cabbage, turnips, and tomatoes piled high. The "Chicken and Butterbur Miso" dish right next to the vegetables was delicious. I also tried various Chinese stir-fries, pork chops, and pasta. In the bread corner, they even had small loaves from Okameya (complete with a toaster). I don't go to buffets often, but it's nice to be able to try a variety of dishes once in a while. It was delicious, so it was worth it. Speaking of lunch buffets, there's the "Tsuruga Dining" at Akarenga Terrace, which was delicious. Another place recommended by my colleague is "Northern Kitchen" at Nishi 5 Minami 2, known for their delicious vegetables and quiches. I definitely want to try that place. Thank you for the meal.
