I sometimes go to the Round One arcade. I have a tendency to get bored easily, but I have been going to arcades since middle school (lol). One place I occasionally use at Round One is this donut shop called "Bran." Located on the 1st floor of Round One in Asahikawa City, Nagayama 3-1, operating hours are from 11:00 to 21:00, with no holidays. They have parking, it's non-smoking. When they first opened, it was called "Chiromi." They started with donuts, but now they also have bread, and they seem to take orders for cakes as well. Oh, and they used to have curry rice here too, which was delicious, but it seems to be temporarily unavailable now (T-T). The donuts are made in various ways to match events and seasons. I want to try everything! Ah, this is the infamous "confusing consumption tax." It's been a hot topic on the internet, especially regarding eat-in fraud. It must be tough for shops that handle both take-out and eat-in. Since I had just eaten, on this day I tried the limited edition Animal Donut Shake (polar bear) for 650 yen (excluding tax). I couldn't resist after seeing the pop in front of the store. I was totally tricked by the appearance (lol). The hand-drawn illustrations on the container also add a nice touch. Looks are important for sweets, right? Of course, taste is important too, but fun is also necessary. The shake part was strawberry-flavored, not overly sweet like at fast food restaurants, but with a more refined sweetness. Delicious. The granola at the bottom comes in just the right amount, so when you're getting tired of sucking, it rolls in and adds a crunchy texture. Whether this timing is intentional or just a coincidence (lol), it's a great accent. Animal donuts are, as expected, difficult to eat at the right timing (^_^; when you think it's time to eat, their eyes meet yours... But if you don't eat at the right time, the shake decreases and sinks, making it harder to reach, so be careful. It was a delicious and enjoyable moment (^^).
