2022/3 First Visit I had a small errand to run near this facility. It was lunchtime and I was looking for a place to eat, but couldn't find one. Even though it's along the Ishikari Highway, it's hard to find restaurants around here. So I ended up going to Yoshinoya. "Beef Bowl - Regular" 426 yen "Miso Soup" 206 yen Yoshinoya has become more like a regular diner or cafeteria rather than a traditional beef bowl restaurant. Personally, I think their curry is the worst compared to Sukiya, Matsuya, and Nakau. Maybe they've gone back to their roots with the black curry now. I decided to go for the classic beef bowl. It's been a while since I've had Yoshinoya's beef bowl. It's still a good choice for a reliable beef bowl. The miso soup (called "butajiru" in Hokkaido) was also good. "Pork Ginger Bowl" 511 yen My family member chose this, so I didn't taste it myself. Yoshinoya is definitely the place to go for a beef bowl. On a side note, Yoshinoya has been involved in a series of scandals recently. From executives making inappropriate remarks to issues with job placements. Perhaps they need to work on their corporate governance. Yoshinoya should remember that they are a beef bowl restaurant at heart and reaffirm their original mission.

I wanted to eat gyudon for the first time in a while, so I went to Yoshinoya for lunch. Due to various circumstances, I couldn't have the gyudon. It turned into a lunch where people might ask, "Why did you go there?" I realized once again that Yoshinoya is all about gyudon. Everything I ordered was delicious. I am grateful that I could enjoy such tasty food at such an affordable price. However, I also realized that Yoshinoya is a rice restaurant. It feels really lonely without rice. I am feeling this more and more these days. The meal I had was the gyu-sake set meal with egg and natto, all for under 800 yen. Thank you for the meal. As for my carbohydrate intake, it hasn't changed much. It seems like I've hit a plateau. Should I continue on the same path or should I switch gears like I did before and make a dash towards my goal? I tend to lean towards the latter, but age is a factor. Only the Emperor can say no to that.

Visited Yoshinoya 231 Route Shinro Store on August 9th. Ordered: Eel rice bowl with miso soup, beef side dish set (three pieces) Price: 2046 yen Tried the eel rice bowl at Yoshinoya. It's important not to compare it to specialty stores in terms of texture, taste, and grilling. It's best enjoyed as a different experience altogether.

In the Shinro area, along the Ishikari Highway, there is a Yoshinoya restaurant. They open in the morning, so I used it for breakfast. The interior has the typical U-shaped counter seats and table-like seats attached to the counter, with an old-fashioned design. In addition to the regular menu, they also offer a variety of breakfast set meals. This time, I ordered the "Ham and Egg with Beef Side Dish Set Meal (503 yen)" from the morning set menu. By the way, you can get a free large serving or a refill of rice for breakfast set meals, which is a great deal. It was ready in about 5 minutes. The ham and egg are served on a hot iron plate. With delicious beef side dish, salad, and miso soup included, the price of 503 yen felt like a great deal. I love Yoshinoya's beef bowls, but I was also very satisfied with the breakfast set, so next time I want to try the Grilled Fish with Beef Side Dish Set Meal.

I had a small portion of beef bowl with miso soup and salad set. I topped it with plenty of pickled ginger, haha. The salad was average. The miso soup had an instant feel to it and wasn't very tasty. The cost performance is good, so I might eat it again, haha. Thank you for the meal.

In Sapporo City, Kita-ku, there is a Yoshinoya located at 231 Highway, Shinoro Store. It is situated along the 231 Highway, also known as the Ishikari Kaido, in Shinoro. Next to it, there are a Seicomart and Beef Impact. Although I was tempted by Beef Impact, I was in the mood for Yoshinoya, so I ended up here. Despite it being my first visit in a while, I decided to try their new seasonal limited-time item, the Veggie Black Curry (regular size), with beef and cheese toppings. It was a satisfying combination of vegetables and curry, with a good amount of meat and cheese for added flavor. The price was a bit high at 900 yen for Yoshinoya, but personally, I found it delicious. I would like to come back again sometime. Thank you for the meal.

I was feeling hungry, so I came here! It's been so long since I've been to Yoshinoya, I wonder how many years it's been (^^;; Maybe because the store I used to frequent is gone. The main dish is beef bowl, but they also have curry. This time, I ordered the "Half-Cooked Egg Black Curry Regular". I didn't have to wait long for the food to arrive after ordering. On March 11, 2017 (Saturday), revisited the restaurant and ordered the "beef and salmon set meal (580 yen + 30 yen for extra rice)" at 8 am. There was only one customer before me, and the greeting of the part-time staff echoed in the store, "Welcome, good morning!" I usually order rice bowls, but this morning I felt like having a set meal, so I chose the beef and salmon set meal and opted for extra rice for 30 yen. The meal arrived in just one minute! The quick service was great, and I didn't mind how it was cooked. The beef was the usual beef, which was no problem. The salmon was obviously not freshly grilled, but it was still good. The rice was served in the expected portion, and my hunger was satisfied in the morning. This time it was the beef and salmon set meal, but the breakfast set menu at this nearby Yoshigyu seems to be well-stocked, so I will definitely find it convenient in the future.

I occasionally use it when I have errands in the neighborhood. I always order the regular size Gyudon with extra beef and a raw egg on top. My way of eating at Yoshinoya is to sprinkle plenty of shichimi on the Gyudon, add a little red pickled ginger, and pour lightly beaten raw egg with diluted soy sauce on top. This is a way to make the cheapest regular size Gyudon taste even better (laughs). Oh, but more importantly, right now at Yoshinoya, they are running a campaign where you can get limited edition gold items! You can exchange for items like a teacup with 7 stamps, and get a gold bowl with 21 stamps (^-^) I want this more than the dishes from some bread festival! On March 25, Heisei 29 (Saturday), I revisited and tried the "Gyusuki Nabe Set (650 yen)" that I had been curious about. The copy saying "You can get half a day's worth of vegetables in one meal" caught my attention, and I had a feeling that it might be ending soon, so I decided to visit today. It was around 5 pm, a bit early for dinner, so the restaurant was not crowded. My order arrived in about 3 minutes, impressively fast for this menu at this time. The amount of ingredients in the pot looked sufficient, and it turned out to be even more than expected. I was grateful to be able to enjoy plenty of delicious vegetables as advertised. The amount of beef was just right, and the sauce was slightly on the rich side, which I personally liked. It was such a wonderful menu that I regretted not ordering it before. From March 31, there will be an event offering Gyudon for 300 yen, so I will have more opportunities to visit, but I would like to try this Gyusuki again before it gets warmer.

Yeah, it's been a while since I came here. The place seems a bit cleaner now, right? I'll have my favorite, the salmon and beef set meal. It'll be ready in 40 seconds. That's pretty fast. I've had to wait over 2 minutes at other Yoshinoya restaurants before. I'll add shichimi and pickled ginger to my beef bowl before eating. I heard this salmon has added edible fat because it's imported. I saw it on TV once. But this salmon is delicious, isn't it? There are a few small bones, though. The beef bowl today is a bit salty, isn't it? Shouldn't have added the pickled ginger (laughs). It's great that the staff get along well, but let's keep the chit-chat a bit quieter, okay?
