Even after a night of drinking, this ramen shop in Otaru is a rare find. I like both salt and soy sauce flavors. They also have skewers, but I always go for the "Soy Sauce Ramen" without hesitation. I wonder if it's okay to have carbs at this hour, but I order it anyway. It's light and easy to eat, I quite like it. I just noticed they have a "Beef Tendon Curry Ramen" for the first time, so I'll challenge that next time.

I went on a solo trip to Otaru. I ended up drinking too much. The shop I visited was recommended by a regular customer I met earlier. They told me that this place serves late-night ramen, so I made a reservation. I sat at the counter and ordered miso ramen. The motherly lady who accompanied me ordered motsu-yaki. I also tried a piece of motsu-yaki, and the sauce was delicious. When the miso ramen arrived, I was delighted to see it was a ramen with back fat. It was perfect for after drinking! As I ate, I realized it might be the best meal of my trip. The back fat in the ramen was just right. It was so delicious that I couldn't help but keep drinking the soup. I have vague memories, but it was so delicious that I give it a high rating. I would love to visit this place again.

In Otaru or Susukino, after drinking, it's ramen time. The miso ramen that the drunk person ate was not light, more like tonkotsu? It had a rich flavor. They were a bit noisy at the counter, saying it's not light or it's strong! We went with four people and used up a whole bottle of shichimi togarashi, sprinkling it generously on the ramen, and enjoyed it. We stayed in Otaru, but the hotel was very expensive... We could have taken a taxi back (--;) It was delicious! We will come again!

In October 2017, I decided to go for a solo dining experience in my hometown, as I had to work during the long weekend and my family had made other plans. I visited a few places, starting with "Dock of the Bay" for some yakitori, then "La Cheminee" for some French cuisine. As I was looking for a place to end my night, I stumbled upon a new ramen shop called "Ikkyu-tei." I decided to try their miso ramen, which was a bit pricey at 900 yen. The soup had a unique flavor that I couldn't quite place, with a slightly spicy and tangy taste. The toppings were standard - chashu, menma, boiled egg, seaweed, and green onions. Overall, the miso ramen was decent, but for the price, I might try their beef tendon demi curry next time I visit.
