When it comes to Sapporo, you think of Genghis Khan, so I decided to try another interesting restaurant. I've been lacking vegetables lately, so I ordered the Vegetable Special with meat, and it came with a mountain of vegetables... It's great that they stay open until morning! The entrance is on the second floor up a narrow staircase. The shoulder, shoulder loin, and tongue were all delicious lamb. Especially the shoulder (the redder part) and the heart were delicious! The vegetable platter with sausages was also good. Seating options include counter seats and raised tatami seating.

I gave up on the long line at Daruma and went to a nearby snowman where the staff guided me to a different snowman shop. The Gojo shop is an old shop on the second floor of a dirty building. It's a small shop with a counter and a small raised seating area. Since there were two of us, we were seated at the counter and made a toast with Sapporo Classic. The appetizer was edamame. We ordered two sets of half and half with a vegetable set. The kimchi, which is said to be a specialty, was sold out. The half and half consisted of a mix of raw lamb shoulder and shoulder loin. Both were tender with just the right amount of flavor. The vegetables were also a good amount. I thought it would be a snowman to compete with Daruma, but it turned out to be a completely excellent shop. The tough-looking owner was kind, and I would like to use this shop again when I'm not staying for a long time. Thank you for the meal.

On the second day of my business trip in Sapporo... My usual go-to restaurant was full... So I went back near my hotel and found a place called Genghis Khan Snow Daruma Gojo-ten, where the owner looked friendly and welcoming, creating an atmosphere that made me feel like saying, "Let's drink!" I ordered the all-you-can-eat and drink option for 4,580 yen (apparently, you need to make a reservation in advance, but they kindly accommodated me since I was alone). The first plate they brought out was huge! When I asked the owner how many grams it was, he jokingly said, "Normally it's 400g, but I think I put in too much... Well, you'll be okay, right?" I managed to finish the 500g of lamb meat and 200g of sausages. In the meantime, I had two glasses of draft beer and three glasses of highball. When I looked like I was struggling, the owner said, "Our regular customers can easily eat 600-700g without any problem. Oh, we even have women who can do that." It felt like he was teasing me! I added another 200g of meat, and the owner said, "Congratulations, you're now part of our regular customers." It felt like he was teasing me again! In the end, I ate 700g of lamb meat, 200g of sausages, had three glasses of draft beer, and five to six glasses of shochu highball. My stomach was in trouble (laughs)... But I truly enjoyed the delicious food and had a great time.

When you think of Sapporo, you think of Genghis Khan! For the second stop on our expedition, we went for a hearty meat feast at Niseko Genghis Khan. It felt like the holidays all at once on that snowy night. This long-standing restaurant serves raw lamb, with options for all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink. We opted for a la carte and tried a variety of cuts such as fillet, shoulder loin, heart, tongue, ribs, sirloin, shoulder loin and vegetables. The fillet and shoulder loin were particularly impressive. The raw lamb was delicious, with no strong flavors. Hokkaido lamb is truly something special!

I didn't have high expectations, but it was incredibly delicious. The rib roast and sirloin were especially good, I could keep eating them endlessly. Sapporo Classic beer was the perfect match. The kimchi yangnyeom sauce was also quite tasty. I will definitely come back again when I'm in Sapporo.

When I came to Sapporo for work, I challenged myself to try Genghis Khan for the first time in my life. I had a preconceived notion that it would have a strong flavor, so I had been avoiding it, but since I was in Hokkaido, I decided to visit this recommended restaurant after work by a friend. The business hours were really convenient since my work ended late. I was told by others that it might be crowded, so I made a phone reservation on the same day before going. Since it was already late, it didn't feel too crowded, but there were always a few groups of customers coming in and out. I was guided to a circular tatami room behind the counter seats, where there were rows of counter seats. The interior had a slight retro vibe and a very cozy atmosphere, with walls lined with signatures, making it a very casual and pleasant place. As a complete beginner, I left the ordering process to the person I was with, so I'm not sure what we ordered, but it was really delicious. The meat had no strong taste, unlike beef in yakiniku, and was refreshing, making it seem like you could eat as much as you want. The sauce was also amazing, and you could easily eat two bowls of rice with just the sauce. I think I'm hooked on Genghis Khan now! I'm glad I had my Genghis Khan debut at such a delicious restaurant! I would love to visit again when I go to Hokkaido next time. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

When you come to Sapporo, make sure to visit this snowman restaurant, it's really delicious and I highly recommend it. The Genghis Khan (grilled lamb) has zero smell, the meat is tender, not greasy, and you can eat a lot without feeling guilty! Just be careful because your clothes will smell afterwards.

I ate at this restaurant on the second floor at the counter seats. They offer two types of slitted helmet Genghis Khan cooked over charcoal. I chose the half set so I could enjoy both types of meat. For vegetables, I ordered a plate of onions and leeks, which came in a large portion. The meat in the half set was cooked just right - tender and delicious. Both the shoulder and shoulder loin were good, but the shoulder loin had slightly more fat. The miso marinade added a subtle and tasty flavor.

It was crowded due to the snow festival season, but we were lucky to be seated after about a 20-minute wait. The meat was tender and had no peculiar smell at all. The fillet in particular was incredibly tender and delicious. I will definitely visit again.

First time trying Jingisukan (Mongolian barbecue)!! Apparently there are several Snowman restaurants, and I decided to visit the one my friend often goes to. I was advised to make a reservation, so I did in advance. My friend took care of ordering and cooking preferences. I heard that some people may have different tastes, so I was a bit worried, but it was very easy to eat and I liked it ^^

A few weeks before going to Hokkaido, I searched for a restaurant where I could eat Genghis Khan on their website and made a reservation over the phone. The owner who assisted me was very friendly and I was looking forward to it until the day of our visit. When I entered the restaurant, I was greeted by the sight of Genghis Khan's smoke rising, which added to the excitement. I chose the all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink course, but because the restaurant was busy, the other dishes besides drinks took a while to start, so I ended up waiting with a beer in hand. The meat was freshly cut and had no odor, making it juicy and delicious when cooked.

We used this restaurant for our honeymoon trip. When you think of Hokkaido, you think of Genghis Khan, so we made a reservation quite a while ago. It's a very popular restaurant, with people even lining up outside on this day. It was my first time trying lamb tongue and heart, but it was very delicious. This is a place I definitely want to visit again when I travel to Hokkaido.

I might choose the scenes where I can enjoy drinking beer with my own scent for a while, as I end up enveloping my whole body in the smell of lamb smoke. But I want to do this kind of thing in a Genghis Khan restaurant, so I was very happy. Personally, I really like lamb fat, so I especially enjoyed the rib loin and shoulder loin.

Visited on a Saturday night. Arrived after 9 PM and there was a wait of 4 groups ahead of us. Thought we would be seated in about 30 minutes, but ended up waiting for an hour. They say hunger is the best seasoning, and it was true in this case. The pork shoulder had a nice thickness to it, and the more you chewed, the more flavor came out. Adding garlic and shichimi chili to the sauce was heavenly. I devoured the Genghis Khan, vegetables, and rice all at once. The lamb tongue and liver were also impressive. The tongue had a good thickness and the salt brought out its flavor well. The liver was fresh and only needed a light sear. No unpleasant smell, just plenty of flavor. The service was slow but that's part of the charm. Overall, it was a delicious restaurant.

I went on a trip and visited this place! Highly recommended! The food is delicious and they teach you how to eat it! I enjoyed Genghis Khan slowly while talking with the locals and the staff at the restaurant! *They also served a hidden menu item (sheep liver) which was lucky! The liver was surprisingly delicious! (For reference, I don't really like liver from animals like cows) The food and drinks were served quickly, and the service was prompt. I definitely want to go back again!

Genghis Khan♪ I had made a reservation on Tabelog for a different restaurant, but when I got there, it was unexpectedly closed. So, I wandered around and found this place. I was led to a private room, and inside, there were so many autographed boards!! Since all-you-can-eat would be too much for me, I ordered the following dishes individually: - Raw lamb shoulder - Raw lamb loin - Lamb tongue - Vegetable platter The raw lamb shoulder and loin were incredibly delicious. Even my child, who tried lamb for the first time, enjoyed it. It had a nice aroma and was so tender that it practically melted in the mouth. However, I might not be a fan of lamb tongue. It seemed undercooked because the inside was still raw. I wonder if that's the correct way to cook and eat it... Unfortunately, due to the pandemic restrictions, alcohol was not served that day, but I still enjoyed a non-alcoholic beer♪

I tried sheep tongue for the first time at the locally loved Genghis Khan restaurant in Sapporo called "Yukidaruma" with a retro Showa era vibe, and it was amazing. It falls apart easily but was delicious. I also had the heart, which had a good texture. There was a slight smell, but not unpleasant. This place seems to be very popular with long lines at night. Impression: I visited Snowman as the final meal of my trip to Sapporo, after researching it the day before. I arrived just before opening and was glad they let me in. I ordered lamb tongue, raw lamb shoulder, raw lamb shoulder loin, vegetable platter, and rice. I also tried the Changja. Since it was during a state of emergency, they couldn't serve alcohol, so I had to settle for oolong tea. The portion of meat for each person was sufficient and the meat was tender with no gamey taste. The tongue, in particular, was thick yet tender with a nice chew. I really enjoyed it. The shoulder and shoulder loin were also incredibly delicious. The sauce was probably the key to the great taste, as it paired perfectly with the rice. I wondered if lamb meat could be this tasty. I heard about this place from a local man who recommended it over other popular spots filled with tourists, and it was definitely the right choice. It made me realize how delicious Genghis Khan cuisine in Sapporo can be. This meal was a delightful experience. Thank you for the feast!

This is Sunday dinner. I tried Genghis Khan (grilled lamb) for the first time in a while. I arrived here after 7 pm. Climbed the stairs and entered the restaurant. There are about 4-5 counter seats and 2-3 tables in a raised area. The atmosphere is quite Showa era. Two other customers arrived almost at the same time at the counter seats. A group of 3 people were having a party in the raised area. I started with a draft beer Sapporo Classic (540 yen). Cheers! I ordered the half set (raw lamb shoulder & raw lamb shoulder loin combo) for 1,390 yen. Vegetables are served separately here, so I also ordered a vegetable platter (leeks, onions, bean sprouts, cabbage, etc.) for 640 yen. Boiled edamame was served as an appetizer. The dipping sauce also arrived. In the Genghis Khan pot, I spread the vegetables around and poured the raw lamb shoulder and loin. The shoulder was thinly sliced and tender, very delicious. The shoulder loin was thickly cut with a chewy texture, slightly sinewy. The dipping sauce was miso-flavored, with a mild seasoning. It's rare to have miso sauce. I added a lemon sour (450 yen) and raw lamb shoulder loin (960 yen). I actually wanted raw shoulder, but I made a mistake. The owner gave us a complimentary mushroom that looked like a cross between enoki mushrooms and shimeji mushrooms, called brown. It's similar to enoki. Finally, I added rib loin (1,390 yen). It was seasoned with salt, and I ate it with pink salt on a small plate. It was delicious, although quite fatty. With a large amount of vegetables, I was extremely full. Thank you for the meal.
