On a certain weekday, I visited a cafe located in the Toyohira Ward, Misono 5-jo, which specializes in fruit sandwiches and fruit daifuku. The cafe has a parking lot where you can park around 4-5 cars next to the store. The glass-walled interior on the first floor of the building is surprisingly spacious and gives off a chic cafe vibe. They display fruit sandwiches in the refrigerated case and fruit daifuku on the shelves. I happened to visit on a day when they were open, even though I didn't know their regular closing day, which was lucky. The background music playing is Western music. From the menu, I tried the recommended "strawberry sandwich (660 yen)" and "hazelnut coffee (500 yen)" from the owner. First bite... The strawberry sandwich is thick and substantial, and when you take a bite... Oh, the bread with a scent like alcohol is moist and dense, and the whipped cream is light and fluffy, creating a delicate finish. The strawberries are cut in half, and there are plenty of them on both the top and bottom, filling your mouth with strawberry goodness. The taste is relatively mild in sweetness, giving a fresh and fruity flavor. Next, the coffee. The owner suggested, "First, smell the aroma," and indeed, it has a hazelnut-like fragrance. I think the bitterness is high, but surprisingly, it has a refreshing taste with a lingering sweetness in the aftertaste. Alongside it, there are complimentary fully ripe pineapples, sweet muscat grapes, and deeply colored strawberries. When it comes to fruit sandwich shops, many disappoint in terms of price and quality, but I think this one is reliable. If you have the chance, maybe try their fruit daifuku next time. Thank you for the meal.
