When I visited Kitami on a business trip, I casually stopped by Victoria Station for lunch. I often look for affordable, filling, and quick meal options during busy times, and I have visited this place multiple times. Usually, I order the daily lunch special, but to my surprise, the menu had changed starting from April. I was amazed to see that ordering a regular lunch menu now comes with access to a "Soup Bar, Curry Bar, and Rice Bar" all-you-can-eat! I couldn't help but exclaim to the staff, "That's amazing!" So, trying to keep it budget-friendly, I ordered the cheapest option, the "Grill Chicken for 500 yen including tax." Without delay, I headed to the bar area while waiting for the food to arrive. I scooped rice onto my plate and poured curry over it! The aroma was tantalizing. Of course, I also served myself some soup. Even though there were only two soup options, I was fine with just the corn soup. As I was moving back to my seat, the grilled chicken was brought out almost simultaneously! Fast!! When everything was set up, it was quite a sight!! All of this for 500 yen is truly surprising!! Probably, due to fierce competition in the restaurant chain industry, they need to differentiate themselves to survive. But, this is quite an impactful promotion. I heard that this offer started in all branches from April, not just this one. I would like to try it in Obihiro as well. Lunchtime is from 11:00 to 17:00 (quite long...). Furthermore, it seems that ordering from the lunch menu almost always includes this all-you-can-eat deal, making it very cost-effective!! Considering the price, the taste is totally fine. It's just "delicious." I'm sure most of you are already aware of this... Of course, I will return with an empty stomach!
